Making anything new and exciting for this Thanksgiving?
>>20984227I ain't a queer American. But yes, I will make something I have never made before: a bunch of fucking slop
>>20984227Nah I'll probably just stick to the classics like always. Got any suggestions?
>>20984227I'm brining the bird this year
>>20984257Are you baking or deep frying?
>>20984259baking
>>20984260Nice.
>>20984251How about some White Castle slider stuffing?
>>20984227It's pretty tragic, the thanksgiving dinners I've seen. It's like a bunch of retarded toddlers have made dogshit dishes and then grouped them all together into one disjointed meal. And they think it's a great meal. Ha. Fucking ridiculous
Me and your mother are making creampies in the kitchen.
>>20984236>queerlolI legitimately do Fagsgiving where I try to make the sides all rainbow-like. This year, I'm toying with making yellow pumpkin sauce instead of butter-braised baby corn but otherwise, no.Turkey. Cranberry orange sauce. Butter braised baby carrots OR orange cauliflower stamppot Yellow pumpkin sauce OR butter braised baby carrots.Greens with onion and chili. Gonna use either bacon or I'm gonna smoke the turkey wings and use those since I'm planning to roast only the titty.Bread dressing with lots of veg.Homemade onion gravy. Homemade giblet gravy. The turkey jus.Triple layer blue butter Jell-O.Purple sweet potato parfait with pound cake and homemade coconut whipped cream OR purple sweet potato pie.Same stuff as last year, moreorless.Relatively large menu considering it's just me, the missus and kiddo
>>20984227Brining (not new to me) the turkey after spatchcocking, then smoking it (is new to me) this year.
>>20984227Why are they called sliders?
>>20984517back in the day, people would eat them while going down the waterslide, regular size burgers are too big to eat in time
>>20984227for me, it's white castle stuffing
>>20984227I'm making pecan pie. I've never made pie in my life. Scary.
I'm going to make a banana and date pudding trifle. It'll look like this, except I'm making the pudding with mashed bananas (most recipes don't actually call for any bananas within the pudding itself) and date syrup in place of granulated sugar. I'll have pitted medjool dates adorn the dish along with the bananas and cookies. And instead of using nilla wafers, I'm making my own pecan sandies.
