Del Taco has better quality, but more basic food. I think their meat generally tastes better, but it's very basic "American Mexican", the sauces are just basic taco sauces and sour cream, the items are what you'd expectTaco Bells ingredients alone might be slightly worse, but they're propped up by the bells and whistles, like their trademark beef seasoning, unique shells like chalupas, gimmicky items like crunchwraps, and all kinds of flavorful sauce like Creamy Jalapeno, Spicy Ranch, etc etc,
