paired really well with white truffles on tagliolini and excellent with scrambled eggs and truffle. cherry and forest floor on the nose, purple floral character. tastes like rust on the entry too, red berry black cherry midpalate, lots of chewy tannin followed by fantastic acid. waxy lips. very clean and put together wine. tiny bit of anise and generous white pepper sensation comes on towards the finish. 14.5% alcohol. the more it opens up the more earthy it gets.
