I had a Persian mate once and went to his house to eat with his parents. I don't recall the names of the things but I do remember pomegranate seeds.
Also they burn the rice pudding but that is considered a good thing and everyone fights for the burnt bits.

Persian food is honestly mediocre. A lot of their stews pale in comparison to curries, including fesenjoon and ghormeh sabzi. Khoresh karafs is great, but it feels like Indians did Persian food the best, and I hate jeets.

I've cooked recipes from both cuisines and wouldn't say Persian stews are worse than Indian curries. The Persian dishes I made had tasted really flavorful and hearty and healthy from all the fresh herbs and those fermented dried lemons. Couldn't source the berries they use, though.
