mætball subs are fucking amazing but they're nearly impossible to make in a way where they're actually edible and not just a volatile spilly mess. your sub looks amazing but abjectly impossible to eat as a sandwich. that's a fork, knife, and bib job 100%
>>
>>21063191

>>
>>21064072
my issue is i like subs to be clean, neat, and take a bite once an hour
meatball subs you gotta eat immediately or the bread gets too soggy and gross. they'd be better as individual servings, one meatball, one slice of cheese, on a short piece of bread

I think if you cut those 'balls in half you can arrange a nice tight sandwich that will hold together and be edible by hand the whole way through from tip to dick. the other approach is the Subway™ method that just puts tiny mætballs on the bread which is fine for the holding/eating experience but is also a ripoff.

my take on this whole thing as that one should make a mætball sub with giant 'balls but cut them to accommodate the sandwich
>>

I wouldn't marry you. Your sauce is too thick and you reduced it too much. And you didn't chop the vegetables finely enough. It also looks like there is a lot of burnt bitter flavor from the burnt shit on the pot walls that you stirred in to the sauce.

In my poorest days, I used to sometimes make spaghetti using ramen noodles. I knew that regular noodles were cheaper but I didn't have a way to boil them, whereas ramen I could cook in the microwave.

It worked far better with Alfredo sauce than tomato sauce. Throw in some store-brand microwaveable chicken tenders and you had yourself a meal.

I like the picture you chose. Because it's not swimming in sauce. Spaghetti is actually good if you make sure it is al dente, and if you use only a smattering of sauce. You can be as generous with oil as you want. In my experience, that's the one thing where more=better.

spaghetti and other long noodles taste the best when you can roll a large bite onto a fork, and broken ones will slip through earlier and not allow you to layer in as much sauce

I doubt anyone who talks about this topic on this board is even somewhat sincere though and it's just unfathomable layers of bait and deliberate contrarianism because you all spend way too much time here since you're too much of a faggot to be welcome anywhere else even on this site and there's only so many things you can say about food
>>
>>21075866
Changing the subject entirely, in terms of long noodles, spaghetti is the best pasta shape, because it retains the most firmness to bite. You can argue about this all night long, but this is my personal opinion.
>>
>>21075866
Sounds like you don't sauce your noods enough. But hey, at least you gave me an answer. I think it's a bullshit answer, but still, kudos.

>>21078247
I do chew with my mouth closed. I bite the spaghetti and and it breaks and falls back on the plate. Its rude to slurp the spaghetti like Asians slurp noodles up whole so I have to bite it and break it to avoid slurping.
>>
>>21078261
just in case you're actually 6 and managed to solve the captcha, make smaller sized bites by twirling less spaghetti at the time.
>>
>>21078261
You know, in some asian countries it is actually considered polite to burp during a meal. It shows appreciation for how good you think the meal is.
>>
>>21078289
No. Twirling up three or four spaghettis at a time will make it take forever to eat a big plate of 'ghetti.

>Why shouldn't I break-a da spaget?
You ever wrap a single spaghet around your fork? Or maybe only two or three? It's a lot more annoying to do when they're shorter. But it's not as noticeable if you're relying on many spaghets chaining together like twisted string.
And for chopsticks, it's similar. If they're short you have to constantly regrab new short pieces. It's just so much more convenient to grab a few long pieces and slurp 'em up while using the chopsticks as a guide closer to the bowl to prevent flailing.
