I once had Jamaican jerk chicken pizza at Whole Foods. I remember it to this day as one of the better pizza slices I have had.

Very low tier. Hipsters and poor people will say otherwise but it's true.

IT'S ALL EXTREMELY LOW GRADE RIPOFFS OF EVERY OTHER CUISINE FROM EVERYONE ELSE THAT EVER STOPPED FOR A WHILE IN THE CARRIBEAN.

Jamaican food is pretty good but I don't know what else is from that region

My rating for caribbean: Jamaican > Dominican = PR > Haitian > Cuban > Everything else

Cuban food besides the sandwiches is kind of shit.

Yeah. A number of carribean dishes are enjoyable. Callaloo, stewed meats, uniqie barbecues, a plethora of starches cooked in many ways and excellent drinks are characteristics of the cuisine

YOU CAN SAY THE SAME THING ABOUT THE USA

It's pretty good, maybe a low B tier. I hate how they have a dish made from rice and kidney BEANS (and coconut, chill, etc) and they call it "rice and PEAS". Sick of people in the Americas butchering my language

I would like to make jerk chicken a regular thing, but I'm not going make the sauce myself. What jerk marinade do I need to buy? What spices do I need to slap on the chicken before dumping in the marinade?

All food has the potential to be good. Depends on your tastes.
Are you the type of person to go somewhere and find that all the local food is "yucky"?
If not then Caribbean food is probably pretty good.
I've never been somewhere that the culture just had bad food. I've never been to a restaurant that didn't smell good and have tasty options on the menu. Have you? Ever?
They don't even make restaurants like that. I could even find something good on a vegan menu. I've had some tasty black bean burgers. I can eat a salad. There's always something for everyone. And no culture is vegan anyway so fuck vegans. They'll fry me something at the vegan place. It'll be good enough.
The food looks good. I love a leg and thigh piece. I like beans and rice. Mango salsa is good. I'd eat it.
