What's the best item Taco Bell had lol
Chalupa and it's not even close. That's why they still have it, while everyone back in the day thought it would be just a passing fancy. Taco Bell redefined our cultural and culinary zeitgeist with this item, alone.
>>21078232The steak taco salad.
>>21078232i love tacobell so much bros
>>21078369It's pure trash, but it feels so good slumming there.
>>21078373fkkk i'm on a cut rn i'm going to eat 10k calories of tacobell when i'm done fkkk i just rot on this board looking at food for now.
>>21078232the grilled stufft nacho
>>21078232Quesalupa. And anyone who disagrees should have their tongue inspected. Also check'em
>>21078232Double decker taco, tb is pretty much dead to me nowadays though
I haven't gone to Taco Bell in 5 years and it has been one of the best decisions of my life. That being said, my nostalgia favorite is the chicken Caesar salad grilled stuft burrito and my all time fave was the chicken quesadilla, with honorable mention to the potato soft taco which was hit or miss depending on the ethnicity of the crew
>>21078663Oh and the $1 shredded chicken mini quesadillas. It was a shitty attempt at Mexican tinga but it was still delicious and an incredible value
>>21078655I did love Double Deckers, my old go to in high school was two DD's (theyre were only like a dollar and change back then) and with nacho cheese on the side I dipped them in.>>21078460I remember that, actually was good!
>>21078232
>>21078232perfect meal
>>21078232DOUBLE cheesy gordita crunch
Taco Bell's forgotten more better items than other fast food chains have ever had
>>21080191Thats because they come out with new ones like every month, compare to McDonalds who almost never has new items
>>21078232loaded potato griller
>>21078232Gotta be the Enchirito. It's not one that you can really eat while driving, but sometimes it's worth it to stop and savor things in life.
Volcano burrito
>>21080258I remember the volcano stuff being really good. It was pretty spicy, but still had a lot of flavor. That was in the times before shit like Hot Ones forced the Scoville arms race we have today though. I wonder if most people would think of it was super spicy now?
>>21080205not everyone can Think Outside the Bun
>>21080258>grilled cheese volcano burritoVolcano burrito was always my favorite discontinued item, XXL steak grilled cheese is my second favorite. Not techinically discontinued but beefy frito burrito was another go-to.
>>21080292I remember the old volcano sauce well and I have no clue what you’re talking about when you say pretty spicy. It was extremely flavorful and delicious to be sure, but it was objectively less “spicy” than a packet of mild sauce.
>>21080382It was like 15 years ago dude, fuck all if I can remember. But being advertised as volcano molten hot magma level spicy was the whole schtick. I was a white midwestern teen back then, I'm pretty sure jalapeno poppers were the most adventurous I've even gone up till that point. I remember them packing a punch.
>>21080382I wouldn't say that at all. Volcano stuff to me was about on par with Fire sauce I'd say in terms of kick, it just was offset by the creaminess so it was a little more tasty and balancedI remember it being basically an actually spicy version sort of of the "creamy japaneo" sauce they stull have
>>21078232This was posted in a /fit/ thread, apparently a new item. Miring that protein to calorie ratio for a fast food item
>>21078232The taco saladWorst thing: chicken quesadilla
>>21080251That looks awful even in that photo
The last time I had Talko Bell was in 2002 and I don't remember jack shit about any of it.
>>21080532Nothing better than a six pack of beer and a box of Taco Bell crunchy tacos
Cheesy Gordita Crunch, and it's not even fucking close.
>>21080539I am hungover today and would kill a small family of circus retards for several hard and soft talkos
That's a bit odd. I was typing about taco bell on this laptop. Grabbed my iphone to go take a shit, opened IG, and the first thing I see is an ad for Taco Bell, which I never see on IG. The devices are in no way linked. Obviously I know they spy on us and send targeted ads but goddamn. There's a reason I use Tor as much as possible.
>>21080602probably more related to detecting your bauel movement than the laptop
>>21080347There was a time Taco Bell Thought Inside the Bun and its name was Bell Beefer
>>21080251The smothered burrito was pretty good
>>21080525All that cardboard though, id rather just eat protein powder
>>21080646A 50 cent sandwich, better times...
>>21080663>smothered burritoShit, actually you're right. I just forgot the name. I just assumed it was the enchirito and I added sour cream.
>>21078232Border hopping bowls
>>21078232your gambling with your ass eating at taco bell
taco bell came to australia in the 80s and failed. then like 35 years later they started coming back, with a few opening in Sydney in the last 2-3 years. they have horrendous reviews and lots of rapports of food poisoning. I do not think I will try it. :[
>>21078232It was the $1 griller. For those not in the know, it was a small burrito with rice, sour cream, ground beef, Fritos, and nacho cheese. It was $1. It was unimpeachable.
>>21078232None they're all full of unhealthy and disgusting oils.
>>21080720>videoGo to Japan and you see this on every block too
>>21080747The Double Beef rn is pretty much that, but its "red strips" and not fritos. It's also a 1.79 more, but it's also larger than the grillers were because it's normal burrito size so really not that bad of a markup considering the inflated cost of everything now
>>21080780thats a uncomfy feeling anon, is taco bell the cure for our unwell frens?
>>21080824Jesus christ I would shit my pants
>>21080846because of the raff or the talko bell

>>21080857pretty much all animals are confronting when seen up close and in person. except kitty cats :3
>>21078232Enchirito. Any other answer comes from the mouth of a liar or a fool.
>>21078232the best thing is the 5 layer burrito. I could put away a dozen of those in one sitting
>>21078232lol
I would like to try Taco Bell one day, I don't know why faggots get so heated up over it not being "genuine" (which just comes off as performative)If some faggot ever tries to give you hard time for liking Taco Bell: Remind them they're no different from Italians complaining about American Pizza, that Mexicans add beans and corn to Pizza and deep fry logs of white rice and dare call it "Sushi"
Havent eatem taco bell since the 90s, but I enjoyed the mexican pizza and enchirito.
>>21080950Authentic Mexican mostly comes down to one major difference, they don't use ground beef, which yeah you can say is a lesser quality option for protein but who cares, ground beef is still goodThat and they don't use yellow cheese, but to me that one is really w/e, and hard tacos aren't authentic but they're still good so w/e
>>21080950>>21080958Gringo tacos are unironically better than authentic, taco bell is fine
>>21080525My buddy in high school always swore by the chicken quesadilla as a cheap bulk. Then again it used to be $2 a dilla, think they're about $7+ now.
RIP the Enchrito and Volcano burrito
>>21080989>>21080528I really like their quesadillas and cannot replicate them at home. The first key is the sauce, which you can buy at the store, the creamy japaneno sauce is very tasty. The second key is the issue, which is I've never been able to find a store bought tortilla that is as thin and smoothly paperlike as Taco Bells, which fucks it all up. When theirs are put in the griddle, the quesadilla gets that nice brown crust on the light tortilla, all the kinds I see at the store are too thick and doughy to achieve that with.Yes, they will brown in a pan after long enough and especially if you use butter or oil to fry them in, but it's still not the same because they then become fully crisp and hard, not still chewy and light but somehow browned on the outside like TBsThat being said, the price of these quasadillas is too high now and theyre never offered with value meals, so I have just gone without for a long time.....
>>21081053I use banderita burrito tortillas for my quesadillas. comes out great in a pan, no fats added for the fry.Didn't know they sold the sauce now though pretty cool.
>>21081066>banderita burrito tortillas for my quesadillas. comes out great in a pansame, they have just enough fat already to crisp up nicely if you're not a drunk retard that got distracted and burned it and tried to grab it with you hand and then burned the shit out of you finger tips making you drop it and the pan which cracked the tile floor
the cheesy gordita crunch is the best thing they've ever made and they know itit's a fucking crime that it's $6
>>21081869This story sounds a little specific I hope you healed up well bro
>>21078232>just dump a burrito supreme into a bowl thanks
Buy an ad
And it's probably never coming back.
>>21082208they have three cheese chicken flatbreads on the value menu right now, you could sub chicken for steak but it's probably extra
>>21078232southwest steak bowl enchiritochilito, the old recipe
>>21078232Have not been in one in many yearsDo they still have chicken soft taco?

i'm a naked chicken man
>>21078232Baja Chalupa/Gordita.Close second is probably just about any burrito subbed with shredded chicken before covid took it from us.
>>21078232LOADED POTATO GRILLER BEFORE THEY REMOVED THE BACON
The sushi
>>21078232back in the early 90s the menu was real simple, the original chicken soft taco and the steak one were my favorite.honorable mention to the grande soft tacoit's not fun to think a place like TB can't have some of the simplest items still around, and fuck them for doing a complete 180 with becoming so expensive.
>>21086590Decided to give them a chance today and yeah, chalupa meal no extras $12.50..
I wanna make a TB competitor, call it the Burrito BanditoI'd swipe the old Frito Bandito mascot to use, not like Frito's would sue. They're utterly ashamed of him, and try to pretend he never existed
>>21080950Most countries have corn as an option for pizza. It's fucking good
>>21078232the best is probably the crunchwrap supreme objectively speaking but my personal favorites are the nachos bell grande with the meat swapped for chicken, the chicken flatbread, and the nuggets are surprisingly good with absolutely insane protein macros.
>>21080258They brought it back for like two weeks in 2023 and it just wasn't the same
>>21081926That's why you get it exclusively from box deals and as your free reward item.
>>21080747>>21080803There were three grilled options- chipotle chicken, beefy nacho, and loaded potato. They were some of the best, most affordable items tbell has ever put out, and they were the same size as the newer burrito the second anon posted. >>21081053If you order through the app, you can get the app exclusive “vegetarian crunchbox”. It’s $6 where I am, comes with a cheese quesadilla + second item + side + medium drink. I stopped eating their quesadillas too until i found out about that box. I get the quesadilla, cheesy bean and rice burrito, chips + cheese, and the purple dragon fruit ice tea thing. pic rel.
>>21078232These were $1 each in December 2016 and Sweet & Spicy Chili mogged them all. So fucking good.
>>21078232Double Chalupa. It was hit or miss depending on if it was made correctly and how fast you ate it but when everything was correct it was a fried boat of meat and it was glorious. You know when you got a good one when it was filled to the top.
>>21089314Omg yes
Why are poojeets so stingy with the hot sauce? Every time I order, they give me like 2 packets and I always have to ask for more.
>>21078232Grilled Stuft Burrito. Anyone who disagrees is a dickhead.
The steakhouse burrito was godly. The queso was even in a bigger cup so you had enough for the burrito and the nachos.
Taco bell is the cheapest fast food right? I still like to go to food trucks and get a massive burrito (always way more value than a place like chipotle and better too) but taco bell has served me well with how cheap it is
I've never had taco bell bros, one finally opened here and I'm going to try it soon. I don't know if I should start with the basics or go straight for the gordita crunch
The grilled cheese dipping taco with birria.
I liked the double tacos, where it's just a regular hardshell with a layer of beans and a soft tortilla around it. Simple, served warmer than normal tacos, and still pretty cheap. Sprinkle a little of the doritos locos crack dust over it and its perfect.
>>21080382You must be misremembering. I worked at the Bell when volcano, avocado ranch and one more sauce that I forget were introduced. Volcano sauce was absolutely the spiciest sauce up to that point. Spiciest menu items until the ghost pepper burrito was introduced.
>>21078232big beef burrito supreme, no beans, extra onions.or the meximelt.
>>21080251a bean burrito enchilada style is probably the worst item on the menu.
>>21090603Their $7 box deal is the best in the biz.Wendy and McDonald's seriously think 4 measily nuggets, a handful of fries, and a child-size burger is acceptable for their "deal"
>>21080382none of taco bells sauces were even remotely spicy, and the volcano sauce tasted nasty.
>>21080646for the longest time the bell beefer at taco smell was the only thing my brothers would eat there.
>>21080748no they are not you retard.
>>21080950taco smell is just mexican food at home.
>>21091208Truly the best, since taco bell tacos are split in the middle 100% of the time
>>21090614>gordita crunchGood choiceGo for their gimmicky shit like the crunchwrap and Dorito taco. Their standard tex mex items are the worst stuff on the menu.
>>21091325no the gimmicky stuff is the worst stuff.
>>21078232These were fucking amazing. Now they are $5+ dollars each under the Cantina menu. Fuck off Taco Bell.
>Not eating your tacos naked
>>21080258miss this little nigga like you wouldnt believe
went there recently. why are the refried beans unseasoned? its just black bean paste.
>>21091383Aren't refried beans supposed to be like that?I'm not sure why beaners love that stuff so much, it's practically baby food
VOLCANO TACO
>>21091383>its just black bean pasteSince when? They've always been pintos.
>>21091394there should be some sort of flavor besides bean. cilantro, any sort of pepper, garlic. otherwise its just bland grey paste.
Hows their breakfast stuff
>>21091722Apparently their Breakfast Crunchwrap is really good. Never had one but people say it is excellent.
>>21091722>>21091734I find everything pretty mediocre besides the little $1 and change breakfast burritos. It’s like $3 for one potato and egg and one bacon and egg. The bigger burritos are too artificially eggy, anything without the nacho cheese is dry, and their sausage is pretty low quality. But those little burritos are the best breakfast items offered in fast food, save maybe the sausage egg cheese McMuffin.
