Never buying Costco bacon again
>>
>>21084058
It looks fine I think your annoying ass is the problem.
>>
I think you need to cook your bacon more
>>
>>21084070
Didn’t ask you
>>21084074
It’s cooked now but those strips are 98% fat and hardly any meat
>>
>>21084058
You're never going to get a serious response with that ridiculous teflon thing.
>>
>>21084094
Didn't need to I told you anyway and now you're gonna have to live with being a shitty cook and even shittier person.
>>
>>21084058
Show the whole package. Yes, I normally get a couple extra-fatty slices too, but it's not a problem. The Costco "extra thick" bacon is supposed to be fatty, and since I like mine crispy, it usually reduces to 1/2 or even 1/4 the original size before it's done cooking. Then, all that delicious bacon grease gets used for cooking eggs and potatoes. It's just not an issue in practice.

Kirkland brand pork is Smithfield, a chinese owned company, aka hell ham, pig torture, and careless environmental destruction on American soil by the Chinese.

You don't see a problem with the fact that there's basically zero meat on them?

>>
>>21084184
that's all bacon strips ever, retardo. stop exposing yourself.
>>
>>21084094
>It’s cooked now but those strips are 98% fat and hardly any meat
Congrats on knowing how to buy bacon now...
100% of packages of bacon allow you to peek at the side view of the slab. Next time, you actually do flip it over and look, and not keep it a mystery. I choose between 1-2 packages and pick the better one each time. The brand isn't the problem, the hog itself was a lazy ass and spent his time in the shade in a mud ditch, or was female.

Protip, use the rest of the package in a recipe for the smoke flavor and crispy factor. Wrap it around something and get it well done.

my local costco sells this at a price lower than their kirkland brand and it shits all over kirkland bacon
>>
>>21084058
I would suck benis for that much lard
>>
>>21084192
I don't know what kind of bacon you buy but if i were OP i'd be mad too
>>
I got bacon from my grocery store last week and it was like this too. Are they doing something to our pigs?
>>
>>21084094
those are the good pieces
>>
>>21084058

>>
>>21084094

you picked it out.

also that is perfectly good bacon, if you don't like it buy ham.
>>
>>21084058
Do you not look at the bacon you're buying? They come packaged with a little window so you can see what you have.
>>
It’s funny because my regional grocery chain has shit bacon and costcos tasted amazing in comparison and now I normally just buy that
>>
>>21084184
that is what I would pick for bacon.

Why do they call it bacon when you bake in the cold meat bake out hot eat the meat
>>
>>21084525
This, I always look through the packages for the one with the most meat.

I’m not sure if it’s changed but I’ve found the precooked bacon at Costco is normally pretty meaty.
>>
>>21084094
>those strips are 98% fat and hardly any meat
That's the good shit.
>>
>>21084058

dude, stop giving yourself cystic acne and gout. That shit is carcinogenic poison
>>
I really don't care for costco and I do not get why people hype it
the prices aren't even that good on a lot of stuff
>>
I’ve returned bacon for looking like that. The Costco thick sliced has gotten shitty with a third of the slices being irregular or nothing but fat. though the regular bacon in the 4-pack is istillnok.
>>
>>21085780
from what I've observed, women love it for it's *perceived* value, life improvement potential (large quantities=no hungry for long time), and samples.

it's similar to the IKEA effect. Idk people are the way they are, I just observe em

the point of bacon is to have something to fry stuff in afterwards. eggs, chicken, sandwich, whatever. it would make great fried cabbage.
>>
>>21084094
Fat's good for you. Stop being a whiny bitch and eat up.
>>
>>21084094
You ever have those in a burger or sandwich? Fuck that's good.
>>
Thick cut extra fatty bacon is great if you know what the fuck you're doing and actually render it properly, because then most of it turns into the crispy melt in your mouth fat.

Come to the Great Value side then

I only buy antibiotic and hormone free bacon, no surprise tranny shit for me
>>
>>21084058
Been noticing this.
When you buy bacon, it's almost all fat now.
You have to pay extra and buy the "premium" stuff, and even then, it's way fattier than bacon was a decade ago.
>>
>>21090436
yeah lazy cooklets spend 20 to 30 minutes cooking bacon that takes 10 minutes on the stove.
>>
>>21090551
you people don't seem to understand what bacon is, and why people get it. bacon is supposed to be mostly fat. if you want "lean" bacon buy ham.

the truly lazy would know that a microwave cooks bacon even faster and (with a piece of paper over the top) with less mess
>>
>>21084058
nice looking bacon.
>>
>>21091746
salo my man... salo is the best variant of bacon there is. 100% fat.

>>21092507
if you are making a mess, you are frying in a pan wrong. hint start on low heat until the water cooks off. for store bacon 11 to 13 minutes. for real dry cured and actually smoked bacon? 7 minutes.
>>
>>21091746
This.
I want to eat bacon, not a piece of fatback.

I bought kirkland once to see how it compared and it wasn't even close.
A few weeks after I started buying Farmers, they dropped the price of kirkland below farmers. still buying farmers. it's just really good. their smoking is effective.

>cram as much bacon as you can on a baking tray without overlapping the slices
>preheat oven to 180c/350f
>put baking tray in oven for 20 to 25 minutes (depending on the thickness of your bacon)
>take baking tray out of oven and put bacon on plate
>sit down and eat bacon
>scoop cooled bacon fat off baking tray with spoon and put in container for future frying use (keeps 1 week refrigerated, keeps 3 months frozen)
