Never buying Costco bacon again
>>21084058It looks fine I think your annoying ass is the problem.
I think you need to cook your bacon more
>>21084070Didn’t ask you >>21084074It’s cooked now but those strips are 98% fat and hardly any meat
>>21084058You're never going to get a serious response with that ridiculous teflon thing.
>>21084094Didn't need to I told you anyway and now you're gonna have to live with being a shitty cook and even shittier person.
>>21084058Show the whole package. Yes, I normally get a couple extra-fatty slices too, but it's not a problem. The Costco "extra thick" bacon is supposed to be fatty, and since I like mine crispy, it usually reduces to 1/2 or even 1/4 the original size before it's done cooking. Then, all that delicious bacon grease gets used for cooking eggs and potatoes. It's just not an issue in practice.
>unironically shopping at Costcoywnbwhite
the thick cut is perfect every timealso>pan-frying "bake in"
>>21084058Kirkland brand pork is Smithfield, a chinese owned company, aka hell ham, pig torture, and careless environmental destruction on American soil by the Chinese.
>>21084111trips of truth
>>21084070You don't see a problem with the fact that there's basically zero meat on them?
>>21084184Show the finished results penis wrinkle, I'm sure they don't look that bad.
>>21084184that's all bacon strips ever, retardo. stop exposing yourself.
>>21084094>It’s cooked now but those strips are 98% fat and hardly any meatCongrats on knowing how to buy bacon now... 100% of packages of bacon allow you to peek at the side view of the slab. Next time, you actually do flip it over and look, and not keep it a mystery. I choose between 1-2 packages and pick the better one each time. The brand isn't the problem, the hog itself was a lazy ass and spent his time in the shade in a mud ditch, or was female. Protip, use the rest of the package in a recipe for the smoke flavor and crispy factor. Wrap it around something and get it well done.
my local costco sells this at a price lower than their kirkland brand and it shits all over kirkland bacon
>>21084058I would suck benis for that much lard
>>21084192I don't know what kind of bacon you buy but if i were OP i'd be mad too
I got bacon from my grocery store last week and it was like this too. Are they doing something to our pigs?
>>21084094those are the good pieces
>>21084058would
>>21084094>It’s cooked now but those strips are 98% fat and hardly any meatyou picked it out.also that is perfectly good bacon, if you don't like it buy ham.
>>21084058Do you not look at the bacon you're buying? They come packaged with a little window so you can see what you have.
It’s funny because my regional grocery chain has shit bacon and costcos tasted amazing in comparison and now I normally just buy that
>>21084184that is what I would pick for bacon.
>>21084058Faggot: The Thread
>>21084137Costo is a jewish company, you retarded faggot
>>21084918Which makes them based
>>21084142Why do they call it bacon when you bake in the cold meat bake out hot eat the meat
>>21084525This, I always look through the packages for the one with the most meat.I’m not sure if it’s changed but I’ve found the precooked bacon at Costco is normally pretty meaty.
>>21084094>those strips are 98% fat and hardly any meatThat's the good shit.
>>21084058>buying meat in the first placedude, stop giving yourself cystic acne and gout. That shit is carcinogenic poison
I really don't care for costco and I do not get why people hype itthe prices aren't even that good on a lot of stuff
I’ve returned bacon for looking like that. The Costco thick sliced has gotten shitty with a third of the slices being irregular or nothing but fat. though the regular bacon in the 4-pack is istillnok.
>>21085780from what I've observed, women love it for it's *perceived* value, life improvement potential (large quantities=no hungry for long time), and samples.it's similar to the IKEA effect. Idk people are the way they are, I just observe em
>>21085876>nothing but fat
>>21084094the point of bacon is to have something to fry stuff in afterwards. eggs, chicken, sandwich, whatever. it would make great fried cabbage.
>>21084094Fat's good for you. Stop being a whiny bitch and eat up.
>>21084094You ever have those in a burger or sandwich? Fuck that's good.
Thick cut extra fatty bacon is great if you know what the fuck you're doing and actually render it properly, because then most of it turns into the crispy melt in your mouth fat.
Come to the Great Value side then
>>21088159>12oz instead of 16ozNot buying your shrinkflation product

>>21090287You _bake_ bacon
>>21084058Are you sure you have for the first time?
>>21084202You will surely get the Kirkland.
I only buy antibiotic and hormone free bacon, no surprise tranny shit for me
>>21084058Been noticing this. When you buy bacon, it's almost all fat now.You have to pay extra and buy the "premium" stuff, and even then, it's way fattier than bacon was a decade ago.
>>21090436yeah lazy cooklets spend 20 to 30 minutes cooking bacon that takes 10 minutes on the stove.
>>21090551you people don't seem to understand what bacon is, and why people get it. bacon is supposed to be mostly fat. if you want "lean" bacon buy ham.
I can't get groceries for 2 weeks. No vehicle.Think I can use lard in place of butter on popcorn?
>>21091388Rube
>>21091403can you elaborate on such circumstances? I have a hard time thinking your family nor friends nor neighbors more strangers nor Uber could help you with that
When it’s on sale for like 6 bucks a pound, my bacon of choice is Oscar Mayer’s.
>>21091727>12oz instead of 16ozNot buying your shrinkflation product
>>21091388There's a difference between "mostly fat" and 90% fat.
>>21091386the truly lazy would know that a microwave cooks bacon even faster and (with a piece of paper over the top) with less mess
>>21084058nice looking bacon.
>>21091746salo my man... salo is the best variant of bacon there is. 100% fat.>>21092507if you are making a mess, you are frying in a pan wrong. hint start on low heat until the water cooks off. for store bacon 11 to 13 minutes. for real dry cured and actually smoked bacon? 7 minutes.
>>21091746This.I want to eat bacon, not a piece of fatback.

>>21084058My coworker finds bacon like this in our packages and saves it for me, then she calls me big back.
>>21092613bacon is 90% fat, you want ham.
>>21084058in this thread:people who don't know what bacon ishave never had real baconwant something that is not baconget butt hurt when they are server actual bacon
>>21084198>I choose between 1-2 packages and pick the better one each time.I unload the whole cooler looking for the one that fits my needs best, store employees don't appreciate it
>>21093790Bacon is about 65% fat.Ham steak is about 15% fat.
>>21084094>Didn’t ask youShut the fuck up, retard.
>>21084914t. average sized american
>>21093809>Bacon is about 65% fat.that might as well be ham. there's no point in eating it.
>>21084094>98% fat and hardly any meatNice
>>21090486I bought kirkland once to see how it compared and it wasn't even close. A few weeks after I started buying Farmers, they dropped the price of kirkland below farmers. still buying farmers. it's just really good. their smoking is effective.
>>21084094>98% fat and hardly any meatsame
>>21094756farmers isn't smoked.
>>21094895while I don't see anything on my package to suggest it, if they're using liquid smoke it's very tastefully donei'm not buying the kirkland bacon regardless, John Costco.
>>21084202same for my local costco and pic related, i got a pack that is literally 10% fat and all delicious meat
>>21092507Nah. The *truly* lazy know cooking bacon in the oven is the ultimate method.
>>21094954tell me more
>>21094958>cram as much bacon as you can on a baking tray without overlapping the slices>preheat oven to 180c/350f>put baking tray in oven for 20 to 25 minutes (depending on the thickness of your bacon)>take baking tray out of oven and put bacon on plate>sit down and eat bacon>scoop cooled bacon fat off baking tray with spoon and put in container for future frying use (keeps 1 week refrigerated, keeps 3 months frozen)
