its like what i imagined grass would taste like if it was good, fresh, sweet, dewy
>>
it adds grassiness which really improves sauces
>>
>>21087192
I just put a bunch of it in the pot whenever I make stock. It's worse without it, but I can't put my finger on why.
>>

A fresh yet savoury aromatic, similar to celery, but is mild enough to use just for it's colour without changing the overall flavour of many dishes.

Flatleaf > curly
>>
>>21088944
You’ll miss the curly parsley when it’s gone. Or they’ll bring it back from France and annoying girls will tell you “it’s not parsley, it’s per-SIL”

Little bits that get stuck to your teeth

my grandmother on my moms side would eat that, if it was on her plate at a restaurant. I'm not sure if I have seen parsley on a plate in the last 30 years.

I think everyone who says it tastes like soap wash it with soap but don't wash all of it off.

Chlorphyll
It adds depth of flavour in the same vein as celery or its seeds - you're more likely to notice a lack of it than the ingredient itself, but try a stock without celery in the mirepoix, or a tabbouleh or chimichurri without parsley, and you'll notice exactly what they do.

Tabouli is wonderful. Also it is pretty important in shrimp scampi or spicy tomato dishes in place of basil (never together)

I love parsley. It’s a humble herb.

Choose one.
This nigger's eating leaves! Hahahahaha!
>>
>>21090733
Bullshit, a burrito with cilantro mixed into the rice is noticeably better than a burrito without cilantro in the rice. That said I'm too cheap to buy a package of it at the store and too lazy to chop it up nicely, but I know I'm compromising the experience.
>>
>>21087192
the foliage enhances the meal
>>
>>21087192
Fresh parsley tastes kind of like citrus. Dry parsley tastes like a generic leaf.

Enhanced crammability!
