Which hot sauce is the best?
>>21087758I like regular ole Tabasco
>>21087758tabasco for chili, tapatio for a quesadilla, sriracha for scrambled eggs or baked chicken, frank's red hot for everything else
>>21087758I am a certified Redditor with an LED display case for my rare sauce collection, but supermarket Cholula remains the most reliable daily driver, xanthan gum and all.
Melindas XXXtra hot is pretty good balance of flavor and spice. Plus the first ingredient isnt fucking vinegar...like 90% of hot sauces.
>>21087766It really is one of the best ever. The chipotle kind is also B&RP.
>>21087758Louisiana cuz cheapbut i need suggestions for next buy
>>21087778thanks anon, will look for it
>>21087758there is no "best" hot sauce, just the one someone likes.
>>21087758vinegar based hot sauce is shit.
>>21087772and Crystal if you don't feel like paying $5 for a bottle of Frank's
>>21087778>>21087781You know Marie Sharp's hot sauces? Marie was the founder of Melinda's. Read the story of why she left the company. It's ugly and no one should support a company like Melinda's.
>>21087780Crystal if you can get it in your area. I’m lazy as fuck and just spent $15 for two bottles from Amazon, when I could have driven to Winco and gotten a bottle for $1.50. Still the best, but I’m gonna lurk to see if anyone comes up with something better.
>>21087758I use this one for cooking, it's fruity and not too hot.
This shit's better than most habanero sauces I've had. It's got sweetness though. >Ingredients: Distilled vinegar, habanero pepper, cane sugar, TABASCO® Brand Pepper Sauce (distilled vinegar, red pepper and salt), salt, mango puree, dehydrated onion, banana puree, tomato paste, tamarind puree, papaya puree, spices, garlic and TABASCO® Brand Pepper Mash (aged red pepper and salt).
>>21087864I'll steal a bottle next time I go grocery shopping in another state.
cholula no contest
>>21087758anything not vinegar based
marie sharp
>>21087758I just use sliced habaneros at this point
>>21087974wish i could get some shelf stable peppers. i don't wanna go to the store every two days because my habs started molding
>>21087758Of those I like Tabasco the best. I like Trappey's too once in a while. Crystal is too salty. Frank's is too sour and salty. The rest all taste metallic to me. There are some gimmick sauces that don't belong and Cholula and Tapatio should replace them.
>>21087784This.
I had a habanero hot sauce I bought near the snow monkey park in Shiga Kogen, Nagano, Japan. I used to have a photo of it, but I've lost that phone. I wish I could find out what sauce it was, it seems almost home made and local, but with a professional label and the Japanese aren't exactly known for their love of spice so it was probably from Tokyo or something.
>>21087758Of these?1. Crystal2. Tabasco3. Louisiana 4. Cajun Chef5. Slap Ya Mama6. Trappey's7. Panola8. CaJohns9. Poirier's10. "Texas" Pee
>>21087758Tapatio is goated
Crystal is the best. Cajun Chef is great as well.
>>21087758Franks all day
>>21087758Gringo BanditoHerdez street red sauce
>>21087758im in my Louisiana hot sauce era right now desu, its just perfect
>>21087864I buy about a bottle of tabasco either Chipotle or Habanero and use it on my Chipotle burrito because it's bland and tastes like shit without drenching it with flavor.
>>21087758https://www.elyucateco.com/usa/thread
>>21087758Depends what i'm doing with it.Coating deep fried chicken strips/nugs: FranksUsing as a dip for fries/tater tots/burgers: Cholula or TapatioEggs: TabascoAs and ingredient in a stew/curry/chili: Sriracha As a chicken wing challenge: Any extract with either a donkey or skull on it.
I got 5 bottles of this on closeout for .25 cents each, I am down to my last bottle. Stuff is like crack...it's pretty hot as far as store bought hot sauces go but it can transform bland burritos into God Tier
>>21087789Not to mention that Melinda is a painted-up tranny whore. I'll stick to my pure and wholesome Cholula tradwaifu, thanks.
Hot sauces are for non-whites
cholula lime is pretty good
>>21088856lucky
>>21087758
>>21089364this image is so stupid i could have made that
>>21089364>>21089370this exists?I love their saucethe noodle part can just be thrown out though
>>21089374seen a few on shelves at Ross, Bealls, and other woman stores.
>>21089374Yeah, it's great. I put it on everything. Sometimes mix it with Sriracha for extra heat.>>21089377I got mine in an Asian import store.
>>21089377I'm Canadian so I don't know if I can find it but I'll try>>21089378Thanks. Sounds like a plan. My favorite is the packet from the cheese carbonara, but it doesn't have anywhere near enough heat. The flavor is amazing though.
>>21087758>...so fucked up...
>>21087789And I bet you dont eat Chik-fil-A either cause ur clearly gay as hell.
>>21087758Just Jalapenos and apple cider vinegarDelicious
>>21087778>>21087789Tried pic related recently and was disappointed. Melinda's Ghost Pepper Hot Sauce and El Yucateco XXXX are both hotter. The flavor was okay i guess but wouldn't buy it again.
>>21087758franks
>>21087766>mogs regular tabasco in every single way
Anyone ever have a mustard seed based hot sauce, had one from mexico ages ago and a jalapeno one with a slightly gel-ish consistency. Both were really good
>>21087758Who even gives a fuck, hot sauce """culture""" is so 2015. I used to eat Dave's Insanity Sauce but my last job gave me such a bad ulcer I couldn't stand it anymore. New job with less stress but anything hotter than Tabasco gives me violent, antisemitic diarrhea and stomach pain so it's irrelevant to me. I guess Tabasco is the best since that's all I can eat with my weak guts now.
>>21087758>UHHHHH HUH HUH HUH HUH>BY THE POWERS OF NAUGHTINESS>I COMMAND THIS PARTICULAR DROP OF HOT SAUCE TO BE>REALLY>REALLY >HOOOOOTTT
>>21092424Stress cant cause any real disease especially not ulcers. Thats a myth from before h pylori was discovered which is what you probably have. Gastric ulcers arent from acid secretion but rather perpetual ineffective immune response ie inflammation against the aforementioned bacteria. Alternatively some drugs can cause ulcers
>>21087758El Yucateco XXXTra hot chile habanero sauce
>>21092938Stress causes your body to release high levels of cortisol which in turn causes a spike in gastric acid response, leading to a major imbalance in the stomach and inflammation of the lining which can manifest into ulcers. Everything is connected. It's like when they say your diet doesn't affect your skin, they pushed that meme for a million years because it would otherwise hurt the dairy and sugar lobbies. Cut out high sugar and alcohol elements from your diet and watch your skin improve drastically, as the lowering of blood sugar reduces sebum and keratin production. This in turn means less clogged pores, less bacteria, less pimples, rashes, etc. It's aaaaaaaaaall connected.
Tobasco makes a Sriracha. It is the best.
>>21093715Lol, you think the stomach is unequipped to handle stomach acid? What do you think the mucus lining is for
>>21094615he said spikelike your skin is equipped to repel rain but spikes in rain are hailstones and you'll be perforated
>>21094659You realize humans evolved as hunter gatherers who would be snacking constantly thus spiking acid levels? You know mucus secretion spikes at the same time as acid? You wont find a study on this supposed pathology. Ptsd/shellshock sufferers dont magically generate ulcers. You are just a brainlet repeating nonsense
>>21094684>Ptsd/shellshock sufferers dont magically generate ulcers. No, it's not magic. It's biology. Now say "thank you white people".
>>21094690Lol you believe in a literal superstition that has no evidence and you thinks it science. Can you even define empiricism? If youre white i am ashamed
>>21087758>no GoyaDisregarded.
>>21094693>point out a direct causative relationship between cortisol and ulcers>that's magic!!!!we should've slaughtered every last one of you. teaching you to read was a MISTAKE. a big fat MISTAKE.
>>21094772Explaining one simple aspect of a biological system is not a "direct causative relationship". You sound like youre underageb&. So how about Ill send you a game on steam if you can find a study that proves an ulcer was generated from stress ok kiddo?
>>21087758out of that bunch, poirier's louisiana style is best. but it's also like 4x the cost.other than that, why the fuck is cholula not here.
>>21094783https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25111233/
>>210877581/3 hot ones 2/3 Frank's
>>21094849I applaud your effort but it uses blood tests which arent reliable iirc 50% of ppl with hp will show neg on them. Second issue is the small correlation may be due to age since the stomach lining weakens, but im still looking through it for that point.
Crystals hands down
For me it's franks. I buy it by the gallon.
>You sound like youre underageb&. So how about Ill send you a game on steam if you can find a study that proves an ulcer was generated from stress ok kiddo?
>>21094940Crystal and Tabasco aren't sauces unless you consider water a "sauce".
>>21092404Probably because it has like 10x the sugar as regular Tabasco
