Do these work?
>>21089913No. Herbal and green tea remedies are the oldest meme in the book. Borderline alchemy shit, you may as well be blood-letting and taking mercury.
>>21089919>"chemistry is nonsense, goy"
>>21089925No it's really not. Native Americans had a really good understanding of herbal remedies, things like willow bark and the salicylic acid it contained to alleviate pain and sterilize wounds. Majority of ancient chinese wisdom is just hocus pocus bullshit like medieval medicine from Europe.
>>21089913No
>>21089913>Do these work?"Slow metabolism" is a meme, so no.My parents used to tell me my metabolism would get slower when I got older. It didn't. It was very easy to do the math a few years later to realize I was barely making TDEE despite eating a lot for dinner plus midnight/weekend snacking.
>>21089941>My parents used to tell me my metabolism would get slower when I got older. It didn't.How old are you?
>>21089935>chinesetea is european.the chinese only finally got it after the british were there for a bit in the 1920s.don't let the chinese fool you.most of their "ancient history" was made up in the 1940s and 1950s.
>>21089959I thought the Brits got it from the jeets and changs after discovering their backwater societies and pilfering all the tasty things like tea and gunpowder.
>>21089969the brits existed for eons before the chinese and indians did.don't let (((them))) fool you.
>>21089913yes to a extent, don't think you're going to get pill like effects but ginger does help if you're feeling like you're gonna puke from a hangover and chamomile scientifically proven to release GABA which does relax you. there is also something to just having any hot liquid, i think it works like the opposite of a brain freeze and increases blood flow to your brain which helps release endorphins making you feel better. ALDI sells a Chamomile blend thats basically all of these combined and its pretty good before bed (combined with a little self inflicted psychosomatic science of having a ritual to signal to your body its time to sleep )
>>21089941caffeine increases your metabolismgreen tea has caffeine >inb4 oh just a tiny amountno! its noticeable to someone that doesn't OD on 8 cups of coffee and two Monsters a day
>>21089972hmm i should've known it was another one of their schemes. thank you brother.
>>2108991910,000 year old meme, thats a long hual troll.
>>21090031truly a thankless job but we preserver it for the betterment of society
>>21089913No.
>>21089913No not really. Actually a lot of them are outright counter-productive for most people. Most of these are irritants which you really don't want to take if you have an upset stomach or feel bloated.
>>21090018Kek gottem
>>21089959Tea is not European originally. Certain varieties maybe, but China had tea way before Europe. Man, retards just spout off whatever fake bullshit they want and some other retards will take them seriously.
>>21089913To some extent... It's not like elderflower tea will cure a cold, but it does help with chest congestion. Chamomile tea is relaxing - can help if you're having trouble falling asleep. Caffeine can help with piggy's digestion, especially if you're having it with breakfast and skipping lunch. Ginger is a mild antinauseant, but you're better off with the ginger gravol than the ginger tea. I've never known peppermint to help with bloating, but it can help ease the pain of strep, and apparently it's good if you have worms.
>>21089913if these did work, they'd be heavily regulated and you'd need a prescription
>>21089913Caffeine can boost your metabolism. Chamomile can help you sleep. Ginger can settle your stomach. I dunno about the rest.
>>21090179They don't work well... Kind of like how willow-bark tea can dull a mild headache, but aspirin can help some people walk on the stumps where their knees used to be.
>>21090215Aspirin is the only thing that works for me, tylenol and Motrin are useless bordering on placebo. You legitimately get more pain relief from a Flintstones vitamin from the magnesium
>>21089913Definitely the nausea/bloating ones. Mint, ginger, honey, and lemongrass teas were my go-to when I couldn't retain water due to vomiting after multi-week alcoholic benders.
>>21090335this anon knows, people that say a big greasy meal is the best cure for a hangover have clearly never had a hangover
>>21090031
>>21089935Except herbal tea and green tea are genuinely good for ailments. It's not tiger dick or the gall bladder of a fuckin panda. Deer velvet is also part of Chinese medicine and is used in a lot of shit today. They can get stuff wrong and still be right about other shit you stupid faggot
>>21089913Try opium tea instead.
>>21089944Nearing 40.
>>21089919ok but blood letting is actually good for you?
>>21091095Depends what's wrong with you, and how much you're letting. Leech saliva contains anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and anti-coagulant compounds - Hirudin, a protein in leech saliva - is used in anticoagulant meds. If you're essentially putting that right into the blood stream by punching in with a leech or twelve, it makes sense that it might help clear up bacterial infections, and reduce pain and inflammation... Leeches and cutting are also still used as a treatment for hypertension in a few less regulated places on the globe - which also makes sense. Less blood, less blood pressure.
>>21089913>bloatedwell maybe if you stopped drinking all that fucking tea you wouldn't have a problem!!
>>21091156damn if only washington knew about leeches
>>21091156>less blood, less blood pressureMost retarded thing I've read on here today, but the day is still young and I'm sure you'll say something just as dumb when you reply.
>>21091163>>21091164damn if only you guys could sort out the difference between treatment and cure
>>21089913Yes, caffeine improves metabolismThe rest are bs
>>21091297sounds like you could use some chamomile tea
