Do you guys like beer? I like beer. I drink nothing but beer nowadays.
Post your favorite, mine's pic related. Fuckin sellabraytoor! Absolutely delicious, it just sucks that it's over 20 American pesos for a 4pack.

I love me some dark brews, stouts are my favorite.
How about you?

Here in the town I've been living in, we had a craft beer bar that I used to frequent before it closed down. Fucking Bottle & Tap, they had some fantastic menus. It's from there that I learned the joy of Pumpking and such. The place has been closed for a while, but the signs are still there to this day as a grim reminder of what we lost.
Nowadays, we have our own brewery in town called Wild heart, but their beer is violently generic. Like, it all tastes more or less the same. That's where people who pretend to like beer go to drink their overpriced slop.

love beer, but been off the sauce for months now
local brewery makes an excellent non alc pale ale modelled after their flagship beer, nice option to have
still tempted to crush a 12 pack of shitty macro lagers now and then though

I feel ya, man. Proud of you for quitting, that takes a lot of willpower. The only reason I haven't quit is for religious reasons, I'm a good Celtic man.
I've tried some non alc brews myself and they always greatly disappoint me. I really love the warm feeling in my core that alcohol provides.
Nowadays, with my alcoholism, I fuel it on the cheap cheap with light macro beer. Fucking Milwaukee's Best and such. I figure if I'm gonna have a bad habit, I may as well keep it monetarily low.
>>
>>21090902
Oh yeah, and also I've never seen that beer before. I just googled it, I think it's mostly a Canadian thing, yeah?
>>
>>21090909
yeah, i get that
theres some decent non alcs but a lot are piss, i like the guinness zero and the warsteiner 0%
its a vancouver brewery, doubt it makes it out much farther than interior BC

Based, you guys up North are pretty chill.
I've been told us Washingtonians are just discount Canadians, it's pretty apt.
>>
It's not my favorite, but it's god damned delicious. Been cravin' it, but can't get it here in TX. It's just so drinkable.

Why is every thread on this board about food all of a sudden?
What happened /pol/?

>we had a craft beer bar that I used to frequent before it closed down
That sucks, landlord issue? Usually I end up moving and leaving places behind ;_;
>>
>>21090865
Oh wow that. Haven’t had one of those in about 20 years. Does it still come with the white plastic goat tied to it? That style is actually my least favorite beer style— malty, molassesy high alcohol stuff. Love Porters and Stouts but the dark German stuff I don’t care for. 2rm8s

Yeah, on birthdays, parties and gatherings/holidays.

Erdinger is my choice. I love it.

>>21091069
Iirc it actually was a landlord issue, yeah. My favorite bartender lady ended up working at one of the local liquor stores, so at least I still got to chat with her here and there.
>>21091202
Yep! They still have the little plastic goats. I remember an /x/ story where some retard in a library thought they were "goat totems" used in some sort of spooky ritual or some shit. Turns out it was just some kids breaking in and getting drunk and leaving them on the bookshelves.
I like to collect them.

Well damn, if Tex likes it, I'm gonna have to try it.
For me, it's been this. Def not my favorite, but holy fuck is it tasty. I swear, it tastes exactly like a rice krispy treat.

>doppelbock
I don't think I've had a bock I haven't liked yet.
So hard to find locally though. I have to drive about half an hour way.
Easy enough to find german lager, dunkel, and hefeweizen locally though.

I guess I'm blessed with having a particular bar in town. The guy who owns it sells fancy imported beers.
You ever try this? It's really weird, I still can't decide if I like it or hate it. I think it's best as a cooking beer rather than a drinking beer.
>>
>>21091716
More to a cooking point, I think I'll try using that beer for pickling. It already sorta tastes like brine to me, so I imagine it'd be great as an ingredient. Probably use it as 1/3 of the brine with some peppers and herbs. Heat it up on the stove to activate it all.
I've already used it for pan fried sausages and kraut with garlic and onions, it serves fantastically. Drizzle some dill mustard over those bitches. Good eatin'.
>>
>>21091716
It's all tart cherries and balsalmic vinaigrette, it's personally one of my favorite beers just because of how high-acid it is and it's more easily acquired than a geuze of any rapport
>>
>>21091774
Ah, so you're one of the guys who likes it! For me, it tastes like pickled beets and not in the good way. Everyone I've spoken to at the bar as either loved it or hated it. Very polarizing.
Like, if you told me "hey, this is a sour red ale" I'd be absolutely intrigued, but Dutchesse just disappoints me.
I can't handle her, she's simply not my speed.

Lol. I'm a transplant. Originally from the NE. There's much wider array of crafts up there. I'm in the country, so it's pretty much ABInbev and MillerCoors, with a smaytering of the big name crafts - Lagunitas, New Belgium, Dogfish Head.
Who makes that? I get into Dallas pretty regular, I can peek around for it. It being a "big city", they have more crafts than where I'm at.
The Hell or High Watermelon is so damn good. It's pretty low abv so it's great for anytime. Workin' in the garage? Grillin' or BBQ'g on the weekend? Yard work? It's light, and the watermelin is really up front, so it's crazy refreshing.

Ah, 'braska chad! I hear ya. I'm born and raised Washingtonian but have been living in the South for about a decade or so now, currently in SC. I've been in Texas and the booze scene was fucking grim. Very depressing. Maybe it's just Northern Texas that sucks? I dunno.
What I do know though is I'm gonna have to ask my man Cal if he has that watermelon beer, it sounds divine.
