If so, what do you use it for/with/in?
>>
Mostly for baking and, believe it or not, homemade sausages.

yeah it's cheaper than regular milk and I use it in coffee and tea

This, baking at least, never heard of it being used for sausage.

Chocolate. Or when I ran out of milk for cereal and want a slightly disappointing breakfast
>>21092686
In no world is it cheaper than regular milk. Shit is so expensive, at least literally anything I’ve ever been able to find.

baking bread, but once when my family was really poor, to make milk. pro tip, mix it up and leave it over night. you won't be able to tell it was ever powdered. but for fucks sake don't try to drink it immediately after mixing it taste nasty.

I get this for $15, makes 15 litres and 1 litre of regular 1% milk is $2.20

For making rice pudding and other desserts. It's even better than buying the most premium high fat milk

yep I buy a 1kg bag about once a year. In an airtight tupperware thingo it lasts the year easily. I don't drink milk (obviously) but it's wonderful for recipes that require milk.
>pancakes
>french toast
>hot chockie
>some gravies and all cheese sauces

Now if I'm making something that really needs proper quality dairy (sausage gravy, clam chowda, etc) I buy fresh milk for the purpose.

I don't understand what milk powder and peanut butter powder are for. MILK powder doesn't have as many vitamins or nutrients in it and peanut butter powder is more expensive than regular peanut butter for some reason

Peanut butter powder protein shakes (say that five times fast).

>I don't understand what milk powder and peanut butter powder are for
I think there are various reasons for their existence

1) not everyone has refrigeration
2) dried products are lighter in weight
3) dried products last longer
4) farmers/processors are trying to create additional revenue streams by creating new products that otherwise would have been thrown away
5) sometimes a processed/refined product/flavor is needed instead of the whole product

I could probably go on, but these are a few that come to mind

Very rarely, and never as milk/creamer.
When I do buy it, I add to bread, fancy mac-n-cheese, custards... anything that I need to add a bit more consistency and "dairy"ness too. It's like milk msg.

I guess dry and mashed peanuts take up more room than powdered peanuts, but... Peanuts already come in a dry-goods format: peanuts.

That said, peanut powder is better for iced creams.

Never seen known anyone use powder milk here but china likes to steal it because they cant trust their local milk supply

>never heard of it being used for sausage.
Try it sometime. Once cooked, the sausage retains moisture easy better than it does otherwise. It's especially good for emulsified sausages like hotdogs since it also acts a but like a binder. It would be extremely useful these days with egg prices being what they are. Emulsified sausages use albumen from the white as a binder, too.

Backpacking. It can be added to things like mac and cheese and instant potatoes

Ah yes, gods chosen liquid. So glad i was born in Switzerland where the clean, fresh milk flows like water. A glass milk in the morning is like drinking breastmilk of a goddess of love and kindness itself. I would kill those who would stand in my way to get it. I always pay my trusty farmers extra. Not buying it in stores, only direct from the god farmer himself where i can also see the healthy, happy cows. You are not truly alive without milk in your system. What i mean by this is that milk is great. Never tried powder, cannot imagine it taste better or same but rather its own tasty flavor. Don't forget to drink a glass day, it is good for you. Don't listen to those who say otherwise. These people are insane and clearly not right in the mind. Like, one really has to be struck in the head to say Milk is bad and should not be consumed. Those people should be consumed instead. Not by me tough, i would not eat human flesh if milk is absent in that body. Have a great milk day

Not really,it never has the same flavor as actual liquid milk
