What food makes you react like this?
for me it's gotta be piccata. I don't know why, it just is.
Oxtail stew. Goddamn I miss when it was an offal cut, costs more than steak now.
Chicken tenders. idk I'd I lost the autism lottery but they never get old. I'm always excited to eat them and never disappointed.Honorable mention: gumbo
>>21097221Crab dip pretzels. I literally can't think of something I would rather eat.
for me it’s the Tour of Italy
>>21097221Xanax and light beer.
>>21097221Honestly? Some greasy wings with sauce when they are fried just right and they are super crispy I like fancy food too, I could talk about chocolate decadence made with high cacao chocolate with either a berry or a citric syrup and a cup of espresso or some seafood paella made with expensive saffron, when it's like 60% seafood and 40% rice but sometimes I just want some greasy wings
>>21097249what's your preferred tendie dip?
>>21097263Goddamn you sound insufferable to hold a conversation with.
>>21097267Marlboro Man, I got it from some website years ago. You basically just fry chili flakes in olive oil and then stir the oil into some mayonnaise. I also add a little paprika to the oil while it fries. Then black pepper and lemon juice to taste. The slightly burnt paprika really just adds incredible depth to a sauce if you like mild bitter notes.I also eat some raw onion or jalapeño on the side as a palate cleanser between bites. Exquisite.
>>21097270>>21097270I actually enjoy that
>>21097221Chicken. No I'm not black chicken is just perfect.
>>21097221Poutine

>>21097221Pork bits in mushroom sauce. I don't know what it is but the flavour and texture are just so perfect to my preferences. It's not even a childhood dish, I started cooking this a few years ago.

>>21097424>have to say mikes way, but with no oregano so they don’t fucking coat the thing in literal heaping piles every time and completely zap every other flavor into oblivionIs it like this everywhere or is it just that the teenagers and directionless manchildren at my local Jersey Mikes are legitimately mentally retarded or something

>>21097424Screencapped so I can try thatI usually do a chipotle cheese steak, add jalapeno, Mike's way, add cherry pepper relish and pickle. I've done it with chicken before tooYou'd be shocked at how good the hot subs are with Mike's way added, don't know why they don't advertise that or ask if you want it that way

>>21097857I think it all comes down to the butta †bh. But yes lemon and capers are a match made in heaven, so I guess it's the whole package. The chicken isn't always even necessary although if you brine and pound chicken breast (and manage to not overcook it), it can be the star of the show
>>21097221Perfectly braised meat.
>>21097887People say it has a strong flavour, especially the grass fed stuff which I'm used to. Some can't get used to it. But yeah it's a close one when running against beef
>>21097221I got this local place does homemade frozen dinner meals, and goddamn, their turkey din din is so good. It takes about 2 hours from frozen in the oven, but it is legit AF.https://www.foodforthoughtcatering.ca/
>>21097926Ha, yeah overkill really fucks up an ingredient. Mine was goat products, especially cheese. My parents knew a goat farmer and we'd always get the surplus. Can't go near it now.
>>21097938Growing up all of my neighbors were farmers of one kind or another. The only ones we actually trusted were the people across the street who had about 20 acres, so a modest farm, of various fowl, goats, pigs, and many bee hives. My dad would insist on buying all our pork products from them; pork roast, ham, and bacon which they would make entirely on their property. I never liked it. It always smelled like the farm or maybe it was slightly rotting, and the bacon was cured but not smoked and it stunk like fæces. Also their chicken and duck eggs were unpredictable; about 20% of them were fertilized and had bird fetuses or embryos in them and it was a horror trying to make french toast when you always had to scoop out this bloody blue-eyed bird every time.0/10 all of it
>>21097956Oh shit, I don't have any horror stories like that. Sounds fucking awful
>>21097972Idunno anon, I always thought I was just a fuss-budget and these people are legit the best and most legit farmers in the neighborhood so we always have and still do trust them. Compared to the other neighbors who were basically running horror shows of animal cruelty and health department violations we always chose the good neighbors. But, I could never enjoy their meat and eggs. In saying that, their honey is literally the lord's honey and the best I've ever had. One year for my birthday they gave me a chunk of honeycomb that was still warm from the hive and that is the benchmark from which I will compare all honey for the rest of my life.
>>21097978>One year for my birthday they gave me a chunk of honeycomb that was still warm from the hive and that is the benchmark from which I will compare all honey for the rest of my life.I want to try that shit. Willing to get stung.
A good, rich, spicy tonkatsu ramen.
>>21098025It's worth getting stung for I reckon. Funny story but when they were first establishing their farm and my parents were becoming friends with them I was maybe 4 or 5 years old. and I spent a lot of time on their property while they were building and clearing land, and got stung by so many goddamn bees, and a bee sting always traumatized me, but these people would just laugh it off and slap some cold mud on my bee stings and it was fine. And I wouldn't cry, and I would stay all day and even get stung by more bees and they would slap some mud on it. My parents never had those simple skills †bh.>>21098032Yep I know what you meant. The meat was easy because I just stopped trying to enjoy the ham and bacon, but the fucking eggs man. I feel like performed a hundred chicken abortions between the age of 11 and 17 because I would find these poor feti in the eggs and just strain them out with a fork and flick them into the trash

>>21097853it's the equivalent to the brisket and short ribs on a beef, just on a smaller animal, if you cook it gently for a long enough time it will be nicely tendernot as much meat as beef obv, but the juice can still be worth the squeeze if it's a large enough lambwatch out for all the little cartilage'y feather "bones" that are opposite edge of the side where you can see the cut ends of the ribsit will typically be boned (lazily) and ground so if you want it you might need to look around a bit
