No, your attitude is poison.
>>21105809
I like a few independent Champagnes, Meursaults and Vosnes yes.

Pretty good choices with room for improvement. Don't give up just yet. Every masochist has a sadist inside, longing to come out and rule the world.

That Mirco Mariotti is one of my favorites

I had this low intervention GV this weekend. Natty wines are great as long as they aren’t flawed.

I like drinking as much as the next guy but that Anon is right, alcohol is literally poison. Recent studies have confirmed it's a carcinogen, and no amount of consumption is safe. We shouldn't delude ourselves that drinking is healthy just because we enjoy it.

a lot of boomers are still stuck on "a glass of wine keeps the doctor away" as a rationalization for their functional alcoholism

>natural wine
>low-effort artsy label with synthetic cork/crown cap
>heavily faulted with brett, overwhelming volatile acidity, and/or mouse taint
every time

I buy the €1,80 bottles. It's alright and made very close to my town

I got a corked bottle of St Emilion. Been a while since I got a corked wine. Mildly annoyed but then maybe it's a sign from the bearded sky daddy that I should drink less. I'm gonna choke down this glass and maybe use the rest for a pot roast or something

Luv wine
Luv natural wine
Find it incredibly hard to discuss because there are literally tens of thousands of elder god tier bottles out there, let alone the many tiers of good to great beneath them.

My favourite is the hipster wine from Douro with the eyes on the bottle. Totally chuggable.
>>
Got a case of this stuff for new year's. Still have 3 bottles left. Not a wine guy, but I'm tempted to open a bottle rn.

people said the same about craft beer back then
>>
>>21106889
and just like craft beer, 90% of natural wine producers will disappear and only the 10% that are consistently good and price-appropriate will survive
>>
>>21106890
I think some big craft beer producers did have emerged and gone mainstream, but I see more and more micro breweries at least here in Europe
>>
>>21106897
there are really only three endgames for micro/craft breweries
1) start getting popular because you're good; get some moderate distribution; get bought out by one of the big conglomerates; production and distribution ramps up but they chase a more mainstream appeal and you lose interest
2) you hit the natural ceiling for a small company that likes making good beer. there are some around here that have distribution in a bunch of local pubs around the state but no further, there are some that are one location and don't package anything, you can only drink it from the tap in the brewery. they make a decent profit and scaling up would take away the fun they have
3) you go out of business because you are shit at making beer

there are a few exceptions but not many.

So basically any natural wine producer that’s not owned by a financial institution or refuses to give up on the low intervention meme?

natty wine has gone pretty corporate actually, which to me is a Good Thing because the market will punish them for too much bad wine. picrelated, their wine is freaky enough to scare off my boomer aunt but "indie" enough to make me feel ok having a bottle on my table at the combination coffee and wine bar near the campus where the young attractive nonbinaries hang out

>natty wine has gone pretty corporate

Not really. Some big wine producers have released natural wines, but these cases are pretty anecdotal, and the ones I’ve tried weren’t very interesting. They’re largely disregarded in the natural wine scene. Most natural wines still come from small producers, at least here in Spain and across Europe.
