Clean right after cooking and if you're waiting for stuff also inbetween. The worst mistake you can make is not doing it right away, the longer you wait the harder it gets (both to get off your ass to do it but also to get your shit clean).

Easy division of labor, she can't cook for shit, except for a couple of things she does well, and even those things, she'll randomly try something else with them and absolutely ruin them. I do this shit for a living, and have been ever since I fucked up my life and dropped out of college over ten years ago, but if I want a decent home cooked meal when I'm not at work, it's up to me, so she just does the dishes, and I often have to yell at her about that because she can't even do that right. But fuck, I have a house and a kid now, I'm stuck with this shit until she cheats on me.

What’s the point of a home without modern conveniences like a dishwasher? Nobody expects you to cook under those conditions you basically live at a crash pad.

I personally have either a pc desk or a coffee table in front of the tv that I can set a pot on to eat out of, so belly conditions are not a necessary consideration.
