Yeah and its fucking delicious

Just because they do their own take on it doesn't suddenly make the original or more "pure" form of it disappear, just enjoy what you enjoy and stop being a bitch about it

Hot dogs are for this though. They're truly the most globally unifying dish through the regional variations. The hot dog is world heritage.

You should see Mexican sushi. It's usually pretty tasty but would definitely piss off honorabu jiro-san
>>
We're generally respectful of Japanese cuisine but I wish we would do something like that. Japanese food is horrible.
We do horrific things to Chinese food, though.

That's actually a thing that's done in Switzerland and some parts of North Italy (less the hot sauce).

I had a "sushi poutine" on the weekend at some stupid restaurant. I ordered it out of curiosity, because I couldn't fathom putting raw fish and hot gravy together.
No joke, it was just a poutine with some fucking diced shitty fish sticks on top drizzled in soy sauce, topped with some sesame seeds. It was awful. I was half expecting rice to be in there somewhere too.

Agree, the food-to-go part in tesco/asda is basically an affront to the entire Asian sub-continent. It's all China and Japan thing between carbohydrate.
Shame it tastes so good.

However, only the natto and mapo tofu will be very difficult to eat because they overflow.

A small amount of mapo tofu on a karaage dog as a sauce could be quite good.

It was a British recipe using wheat, which is why it was compatible with Japanese rice.
If it had been an Indian recipe, it would have taken longer to become common.

Do Japanese people really love salisbury steak or is that just an anime thing?
Multiple anime I see the characters go googoo-eyed for salisbury steak as if it's gourmet stuff when here in America it's seen as pretty poverty-tier and often used in microwave dinners.
