Are you supposed to put some parchment paper at the very bottom to stop dripping oil from sticking to the basket?

my wife hates the grease so she puts parchment paper on top of the PTFE coated grill insert.
Does it matter? no. The hard grease that eventually is too much of a pain to clean off without engine degreaser doesn't affect the taste of anything it cooks but whatever.

yeah they put some sort of gay "nonstick" coating that sticks more to the grease than it does to the metal. you have to treat this thing very delicately
