Does anything in America compare to the absolute gift from god that is Spoons? Spoons is basically a cultural cornerstone in bongland, and I haven't heard of anything like it. People compare it to Applebee's but realistically you can tell the difference by how many people shit on Applebee's, you only ever see stuck up tory toffs rag Spoons.
>>21111441Yeah Wetherspoons is decent. I like knowing that I can be in pretty much any town or city in the country and there'll always be a comfy place to hang out. No obligations, no waiter coming over to hassle you. Just sit down and relax, if you fancy some food or drink just order on the app and they'll bring it to your table. The food is honestly all right considering the price, it's not gourmet and it's not meant to be. Just a cheap satisfying meal. They also take hygiene standards pretty seriously, I've had £3 pints at Spoons that tasted better than £5 pints at a nearby pub, because most pubs don't even clean their fucking beer taps or store the beer properly so you're getting stale, mouldy beer.
There are a bunch but they are all regional. Alcohol laws vary a lot state to state so I don't think it's that feasible to have a business set up to deal with all the different laws.
Wetherspoons is good. Not brilliant but if you want, like, fish and chips with a pint for £12 or so then you're not going to find much to complain about.
99p pint at the moment.Simple as.
