I've been getting an ad for Raising Cane's on a podcast I listen to.A mother asks her son if he's hungry, and the little boy goes off on how Raising Cane's chicken fingers are crunchy, fries are crispy, it's so good, etc. At the very end of the ad he shouts "Holla!" and a dog barks. The kid is black, strongly reinforced by his useage of slang and informal grammar.1. Is this racist?2. What the FUCK is up with the barking dog? Is this some black culture thing I don't get, or is it just trying to show the kid speaking is a cute little kid and cute little kids have dogs?I've never eaten there and I don't plan to, but this ad is fucking baffling.
>>21111940Their sauce and bread are good, chicken is bland and the fries are definitely not crispy.>or is it just trying to show the kid speaking is a cute little kid and cute little kids have dogs? probably just this anon...
>>21111953>Their saucemmmm flavoured soybean oil
>>21111958it is quite delicious.
>>21111953That's why I mentioned it, yeah.>>21111958Great opinion, frogfag.
>>21111940raising cane's is named after a dog, that's why they put the sound in
>>21111970Holy shit, thank you!
>>21111940Ah, so you're trying to restrict the acting jobs that black people get and THEY are the one who are racist? Look in the mirror, cunt
>>21111940I've had it. The sauce is gross, the chicken is greasy as fuck and the fries are soggy. It's not priced very well but it's cheaper than KFC.
>>21111940Police dog barking at him
>>211119401. Black people think any accurate depiction of them is racist. They have a lot of self hate.2. It's just trying to show that the family has a dog, it's a sympathy thing. Same reason politicians always bring their pets out for show. The chicken is great most of the time but it's a bit overpriced, and you have to eat the fries right away because if you leave them in the styrofoam container they give it to you in they will be soggy by the time you get home. The lemonade is decent but not noteworthy, and that's their most marketed drink. The sauce is really great but not as unique as they wished it was. The coleslaw is pretty sad, and you're better off asking for extra bread or extra fries instead. The bread is disappointing most of the time. Overall 6.5/10, I will be back for more chickens
>>21111999>you're better off asking for extra bread or extra fries instead.I would ask for more fries instead of the bread but who really knows if they give you more, at least with the bread you know you're getting something
Go when it's busy, get the tendies and sauce, skip the fries and slaw. The fries CAN be good, but they never are.
>>21112010Why when it's busy?
>>21112029Everything is fresh as it can be because at that point they are basically making everything to order. I think that's why mall based Canes are always worse....less traffic.
>>21112029Because then food wont be sitting in the warming tray for an hour, retard.
>>21112033>>21112034If it isn't going to be consistently good, why even bother?Isn't that kind of the point of fast food?
A Raising Cane's opened last year about two miles from my house. I've never been because a friend who moved to the area years ago from a place where these restaurants are endemic said that the tenders are no better than Walmart frozen ones, the only fries worse than theirs are White Castle and Krystal and the buns are awful (he didn't go into detail about why they were awful and when asked he said that they're "school lunch bread" but I don't know what that means). Is his description accurate? I pass by it a lot with my wife and kid since it's near a shopping area we go to a often but with so many other lunch options around there, I've never seen the point in stopping in. Actually, iinm, we're running low on brown people vegetables so we'll probably be in that area tomorrow.
>>21111977Heh I wonder how many tendies that good boy has ate over time
>>21112059I tried it for the first time in Vegas last fall and agree with your friend.I was a hungry drunk+high person and STILL could tell that it was a mediocre meal. The sauce was just okay, everything else was exactly as your friend described.I have no idea why my fellow whities get so hyped up over this stuff.
I have a copycat recipe for their sauce that comes out perfect.
>>21112089Why don't you post it?What kind of sauce is it?
>>21111977It’d be interesting if they’re adopting senior dogs to speed through to “Cane IX” (who will be a puppy and reign over a long period of great peace and prosperity)
>>21111999> Black people think any accurate depiction of them is racist. They have a lot of self hateGoes without saying desu
>>21111940Chic fil a commercials have started pandering so fucking hard to black people it’s uncanny
>>21113364They're basically the laziest and most easily manipulated consumers out there so it's not that surprising. But for chick fil a i don't know if that could actually hurt their brand to pander to the ghetto instead of christian families which has been their marketing strategy for as long as i can remember.
