How's the texture? It looks a little dry.

I like 100% whole wheat and it's what I'd make most of my breads with, but I always found it a bit gritty unless it was at least 90% hydration since the bran in whole wheat absorbs more water. That recipe is about 65%.

It is a bit dry, but I’m a sucker for bread and grains of any sort and can eat the stuff plain.

Overall I’d give the meal, pumpkin chili and all an 8 out of 10.

Yeah I never really made a bread I hated and couldn't eat if it was a bit too dry. If you do make it again I'd recommend increasing the water to about one cup though and let it sit for a little while so the bran absorbs some of it.
