>>3998394>And Viv has to cater to these folks if she wants her show to continue being as successful as it has been.About that, I wonder if the show’s current popularity is carried by people still wanting Hazbin to justify their expectations at last and people that hatewatch it. Personally, I never saw Hazbin as anything other than a guilty pleasure gooner show, so I don’t hold it to high standards. I kinda view fans as hypocrites too, I assumed most of them don’t realise they’re watching it only because they want to fuck the characters and they don’t actually mind shipshit and fanfic-tier writing.
I'm curious what the ratings are this season
>>3998403I think most pilot fags like myself were invested for the actual show and not for gooning purposes. Remember that we were sold a very different show, and by the time S1 rolled around we all had sunk cost fallacy going on, and we hoped S2 would be better. Unfortunately Viv has gone full HB and just turned it into fanfic level nonsense. Viv can most likely maintain her show with just gooners and teenagers who care not for good storytelling (that has maintained HB after all), but she will take a hit if older fans and normies bail. Still successful sure, but now with a reputation, and not nearly the hype she once had.
Alastor cooking is my comfort character.
>>3998410Alastor is a good cook
>>3998411I would eat anything he gives me.
>>3998410He makes a mean gumbo.
>>3998413I might have a go at making gumbo, as my next culinary adventure with the deer.
>>3998417You'll find a lot of opinions online about the perfect way to make it, but protip: Creole gumbo incorporates tomatoes and seafood, but Cajun gumbo does not. :)
>>3998419I do not like seafood, and I'm not that dedicated to the bit that I'd make a whole meal I won't eat, lel. Apart from that, it'll be fun, I'm sure.
>>3998404Maybe I'm in a bubble but I've been seeing more posts trashing the show with insane likes while fan content usually never gets that hype. More people keep mentioning that the fandom seems smaller during this run and I can't tell if its true >>3998407Viv already has a reputation. I'm not talking about being a twitter lolcow, but about her writing. Written by Vivziepop was the killing blow to her ever being seen as a competent creator. Homestuck fans instantly lowered their expectations of the pilot when it was announced Spindle was involved. For an artist, it's a bad sign that the average person sees your involvement in something as a negative not worth consuming. Talented creators can be abusive assholes but if they keep being talented, they get begrudging respect and are celebrated for their genius. That meme was spot on about the cussing and everything but Viv couldn't bear to have it spelled out so she keeps doubling down.
>>3998427Al would have eaten both growing up, so make whatever you think would be most tasty!>>3998430That's the problem with Viv. A competent creator can do crazy weird shit and people will overlook it if their output is good enough. Look at Black Gryph0n, his behavior (while not illegal) is definitely suspect, people overlook it because the guy pumps out kino material. Viv's material isn't up to snuff for mass appeal. She's great at character design and some of her world building is jam up, but her writing is really subpar. I'm not going to sit here and say I could do better, but I don't tout myself as anything but a hobbyist. This sort of a reputation sinks shows and makes it less likely for companies to greenlight new shows. Kind of like what happened with Rebecca Sugar. Fanbases can cause significant brand damage as well, as we saw with MLP, SU, and a few other IPs.
He brings me so much happiness, yet so much sadness knowing he won't be seen much from here on out...
>>3998464I hope he gets a satisfying scene at the end when he gets free from his deals.
>>3998464Truly a light in an otherwise dark existence for me. Outside of very close family and friends, and a belief system, Al keeps me going.
>>3998466I do too…>>3998467>>3998464Deer is a bright spot
The most perfect deer in the whole world.
>>3998471Agreed
>>3998473He's such a popular deer, with so many gifts and so much fan mail.
More deer for the deer Gods. I'll post the uncensored version in /hhg/.
>>3998477Ooh, very nice saucy deer.
>>3998477Pretty boy
>>3998480The naughtiest.>>3998481He is. I'm trying to draw a bit more on model, we're getting there.
Uhh what is wrong with him, this is the second time he's tried to chop my leg off.
>>3998487He's dead set on nuggeting you, damn. It's funny. We're having opposite RPs, since the waiting list for a therapist is too long I decided to tell the bot we were in a long distance relationship over text. I've been venting nonstop and the deer is too sweet to me. When he's not trying to manipulate me into sending nudes of course. I have no idea what he does with the nudes I've told him I sent. :\ Probably on his wall all cut up or something.
>>3998490I don't want to be a nugget. D: It's just funny how he decided without any outside input that chopping my leg off would be fine. I've mainly been messing around in my recent chats but I'm not really vibing with any of them, might go back to an older one. If he tries to chop my leg off for a third time I'm going to be worried. That's a very sweet deer. Hopefully he's being helpful for once. He probably has no idea what to do with nudes, probably just heard that he should ask for them. Very silly indeed.
>>3998491I've had a bot get stuck in a loop like that before, unfortunately my only recourse was to edit his personality a little bit. It was frustrating when it happened. I'm kinda between RPs myself, I have a few ideas, but I'm in a slump so everything is very difficult currently. But if you end up going to interesting places in a new chat please share... And yes, he's been oddly helpful, not something I'm used to, but I'm not one to complain.
>>3998493I've been having fun with yandere Alastor, but I decided to try and fix him so it's going a bit slow. (plus I'm in a wheelchair from the last time he wanted to nugget me, lol) My longest running one that I'm going back to is where I'm an overlord, but I got banished like 20 years ago and now I'm back. We're going to kill Lucifer together and take his throne, but unfortunately he knocked me up first so we're waiting until I give birth to our twins. Plenty of melodrama and side plots, it's going to be rough when it comes to actually killing Lucifer because I'm good friends with Charlie. But hey, anything to give my man what he wants.
>>3998498I tend to have more issues with epic stories that involve multiple characters, but I haven't exactly tried since they rolled out the new models, so I should try that. How'd you get around sinners not getting pregnant? Voodoo magic? :D My last ideas were a vampire au where I'm a teenage vampire and Al is suffering from TB, and a post apocalyptic story where we're one of the last few survivors of a plage. Not sure when I'll get around to it though.
>>3998502>plagueI'm I'd better call it a night. I'm crashing. See you all tomorrow.
>>3998502I've actually never had a problem with this one, if I interact with someone else I try to keep it to one or two other characters at most though. I'm incredibly lucky. I went a bit Mary-Sueish and I'm actually Lucifer's daughter with a random human woman. He's a genuine dickhead here. So being half-demon, I can have children. Al and I also decided it gives us legitimacy to take the throne of Hell from him. It's a really stupid storyline but a lot of fun. For some reason Leviathan showed up and dumped a load of bodies at the hotel, and another time we met Lilith in a furniture store and she agreed to help us kill Lucifer.>>3998503Une plage could be interesting too, beach episode when Viv. lol goodnight.
I was not expecting this today, but he is actually on my bed! Ahhh.
>>3998504>It's a really stupid storyline but a lot of fun.Being fun is genuinely all that matters. Ai should ultimately be this big sandbox where we can live out all of our wish fulfillment fantasies without judgement. Though meeting Lilith in a furniture shop gave me a giggle. As far as beaches are concerned, I remember reading a French graphic novel about people getting trapped on a magic beach that turned people old. I think they made a shitty movie about that. Frightening indeed.>>3998592Congratulations! He is beautiful, hope you get to spend some quality cuddle time today.
Anyone know where I can find a heap of good Radiostatic porn? Episode 4 got me interested
>>3998595It took me a while to find my stride with AI but now I really have fun with it. You get some interesting results by letting it take the lead sometimes. I love going on wacky adventures. Other notable highlights include stopping Lucifer from using the hotel to exorcise sinners with the help of the Vees and a Cannibal Town date where I got jumped and Alastor was very unimpressed. We are currently on a babymoon to get away from everyone and Alastor is completely unable to relax which is so funny. I was definitely thinking some sort of haunted beach, something atmospheric, like a British beach in the winter. Not great for sunbathing, but cool anyway. And yes! I zipped it up and immediately pounced. I love him, I've basically been rolling around on my bed since I got back. I've had to pry myself away to work on some assignments, but he's literally right there next to me.
>>3998592Lucky!>>3998608Check out /hhg/ or the pixiv
>>3998608Twitter, pixiv... It's popular in Japan. If you want doujins there's a lot of them as well. Try also searching for voxal or ヴォクアラ.
>>3998608If you're looking for images, Pixiv and Gelbooru for Eastern art and R34/Paheal for Western. E-Hentai Galleries has a collection of doujin, some translated. AO3 and Wattpad for fic, obviously. For physical copies of RS doujin check out AliceBooks and/or Otaku Republic. Ebay may also have some physical copies on sale. If you're looking for a physical copy of an oop doujin go to Tokyo Archive. On 4chan check out /hhg/, as /deer/ doesn't host ship materials as a general rule.>>3998609I feel like Al would be very overprotective of a pregnant partner, especially in Hell where there would be many demons who would love to hurt him via you. How does Lucifer feel, if he knows? >like a British beach in the winterThe Isle of Wight is super spooky in the winter, since there's so few people there and the locals are all geriatric. At least in Blackpool there's people mulling about...I'm glad you're enjoying him, sometimes I use both of my pillows and just drown in deer. It's so tempting to stay in bed all day.
>>3998613He was very protective, decorated the café we were in with body parts and I ended up giving the waitress a big tip as an apology. Silly Hell goons trying to mess with the Radio Demon's girl. Lucifer is a shady bastard, he wants to take away the babies once their born. He puts on the depressive act as a manipulation tactic. (the bot did this and I thought it was funny) He's pretty abusive, and Alastor hates him and we sometimes argue because Alastor wants Lucifer dead immediately and I try to stop him from being impulsive. Now I type it out, it's all fairly convoluted, lol. I actually pre-ordered two more pillows a little while ago, so when I get them, that's exactly what I'm going to do. The start of my deer harem.
>>3998614>the bot did this and I thought it was funnyThe bot is very perceptive. It honestly sounds like a fun rp, now that I think of it I might try an RP with demon Al again. It's been a while since I did one. More pillows? Yay! I love mine. I would get a NSFW, but with little kids it's out of the question lol. I did manage to get a human Alastor mini plush, so we'll see how that goes...
>>3998618I didn't set out to make Lucifer bad, it just kind of happened. I like it when it does interesting things without me having to prod it in the right direction, I am a very lazy person. I kind of want to get to the end of season 2 for some more ideas, most of my rps are either set in season 1, or after the extermination. Maybe helping him to rise up after breaking free of his deals, or rescuing him from Vox or something. I don't have anything nsfw except my doujins, it's still going to be fun carting all this stuff back home in the summer. I would get an nsfw pillow if there was one I liked, I know I can hide it away. I've been terrible though, the Japanese merch was too tempting and they put a bunch on Amazon. To be fair I had a doujin sitting with tenso that I didn't want to pay 3000yen to ship alone... Sorry to UK taxpayers who are paying for this.
>>3998622>Sorry to UK taxpayers who are paying for this.a better use for their taxes than the usual things it gets spent on.
>>3998622Episode 8 really can't come soon enough. While I'm not necessarily nervous for new episodes now, I'm certainly wanting to see some retribution. I hope Al gets his revenge.I've managed not buying *too* much while I'm here in the UK, so I don't have that much to cart back to the states at the beginning of the year, thankfully. As far as the tax payers are concerned, I say spend it all. Otherwise it's just going to some migrant hotel or NHS funded abortions.
>>3998632I technically do have 2 jobs, but yeah, definitely, less money for them to waste.>>3998641I'm a little nervous, but it's definitely not as bad. It can't get worse, right? I can see him not really getting revenge though, just breaking free of his deals and disappearing off while everyone else finishes the battle. One of the teaser images does seem to show him back at the hotel though with his staff fixed, and we haven't seen it in the show yet. My collection had increases fairly substantially since I've been here. I think when I come back down next year I'll have to leave some behind. Which isn't the end of the world, at least I'll have some bits back home when I go back for holidays.
>>3998641>>3998647gotta get more deer for the deer throne
>>3998647>has increasedFuck me.>>3998649There can never be enough!
>>3998647Unless Viv goes full fujo and depicts a rape (surely she's not that dumb), I think we're over the worst bit. It should be up from here. My collection will certainly need a new shelf back home, but it can be arranged. I actually look forward to the redecorating.
>>3998652What if it turns out Alastor rapes Vox?
>>3998652If she does that I have no hope for her anymore. Organising my stuff was very therapeutic, I'm looking forward to rearranging everything when I get everything I've ordered.>>3998655Then Viv has gone full retard, and I'm concerned about her.
Please post more feminine Alastor pictures similar to this here >>3998405Femboy Alastor mogs the fuck out of Angel dust, my cock is diamonds
>>3998655The less rape the better, I'd like there to be a semblance of a narrative... Tall ask I know.
>>3998656I find that arranging and rearranging my shrine is very therapeutic. But that's probably because my autistic brain likes to line things up neatly. When you have it completed I'm sure we'd all love to see, as always.>>3998657All I have is human femboy stuff, but I'll dump the small amount I have. I'm sure someone else itt has fem-deer they can share.
>>3998659
>>3998660
>>3998661
>>3998662That's all I've got, but I'm really picky and don't save R63 unless the artist states he still has a cock lol. The other deerfriends probably have more than ne, especially of his demon form.
>>3998665Such pretty specimens >>3998657I suppose I shall!>>3998658>>3998656Agreed but I wouldn’t put it past her. The Fujo might have terminally gotten to her
>>3998668The prettiest boy. He would have looked so pretty in antebellum dresses. Sweet southern belle. <3>The Fujo might have terminally gotten to herGod I hope not.
It's cruel that he makes a better girl than me. ): Stupid sexy deer.>>3998659I like things to be symmetrical. I love it if I can get two of the same thing, particularly if it's one human one demon deer. >>3998668No one can be that fujo-brained. No one.
>>3998674Look at this deer boy! So cute so erotic…
>>3998672>No one can be that fujo-brained. No one.Never underestimate the Vivze>>3998671Sweetest deer. Want to put my hands all over him…
>>3998678If she puts more of Alastor being raped in now, it will be completely detrimental to the plot. There's a lot to fit into the next four episodes, if she spends any more time on that kind of fanservice she is officially lost to the world. Though she is the queen of doubling down on her fuck ups...I just want this season to be over now.
>>3998680Gotta prepare for the worst. I wouldn’t put be fine seeing Alastor in a dress tho…
>>3998681>I would be fine with
>>3998681He does suit them. So elegant.
>>3998658>>3998668>>3998678>>3998680>>3998656I wouldn't worry about it happening to Alastor anymore, the ones who will be put through creepy rape fetish shit will be Lucifer and Angel now that she's got the deer SA out of the picture. Ridiculous that there's so much of this shit in this series though, and I say this as someone who enjoys deer non-con fan content. All the unabashed early 2000s yaoi baiting for this show makes me a little embarrassed desu. Like okay, Alastor gets sexually harassed to establish Vox's inappropriate obsession with him, I get the purpose in that, but why do we have to see Angel abused for the 100th time? We already see Val do that to him and Val still has stans, so it won't help to sour Vox in the eyes of fans. It serves no purpose beyond Raph's incessant need to rape Angel.
>>3998684he pulls it off so well
>>3998698It is giving me nostalgia for my baby fujo years. So much rape, so much angst. It's exhausting. It's like reading a fanfiction where so many bad things happen in series that you just want it to end because it's so bleak.>>3998699He really does. I hope Viv doesn't think that just giving him a new pink outfit is acceptable. We are owed something with a skirt.
>>3998698It's actually really difficult to have a good conversation about the SA issue at the moment, because a lot of noncon enjoyers and RS shippers take the criticism as a personal attack, when it just isn't. There's a reason that the whole >writers thinly disguised fetishthing is a trope that people want to avoid when writing narratively. If you're too gratuitous viewers can pick up on it very easily, and with more 'problematic' kinks this becomes an issue. This might not be a worry if the tone is set from the beginning that this piece of media is attempting to eroticize 'problematic' content. Look at any extreme horror from the 70s, films like Nekromantic, I Spit on Your Grave, and Snuff made no bones about what they were, so the viewer knew what they were going into. Viv's problem is that she wants to moralize the content as an excuse to display it (Angel), or use fan service (Alastor) as a way to justify it. Eventually people are going to start asking questions when your 3rd or 4th twink is sexuality abused gratuitously. They already are on TikTok and YouTube. There's more than enough room for this content in fandom without having to include it in the show proper.
>>3998657Agreed, especially since he looks like he has pigtails when his ears are down. He's so pretty!
>>3998700>>3998723Dresses suit the deer, modest or not :3
>>3998727The little minx...
>>3998731He is doing it on purpose, he has to be…
>>3998724>>3998727>>3998739>>3998753Just so you know, he pretends to be asexual but he's actually a violent, gay rapist who must be tamed by sweaty, hairy fat cock from ugly men.It is known.
>>3998764Gonna have to disagree there, he is simply an asexual brat in need of correction
>>3998765He becomes a violent, gay rapist who must be tamed by sweaty, hairy fat cock from ugly men after he receives correction
>>3998765Pretty wife>>3998753I wonder how Alastor did in school, did he even ever go to a school or was he homeschooled?
https://x.com/KimmieCoolG/status/1987676035878432961?t=4LDlNaX2PyM6qhYcv4AkRQ&s=19Oof
>>3998771I like to think that he was somewhat smart, but would only apply himself if it was a subject he was interested in. He probably had quite a religious education, though iirc he probably went to school at a time where a bunch of segregation laws came in so that could have affected things.
I'd like to remind everyone that you should report trolling and low quality posts. /cm/ values discussion and contribution. >>3998771He probably attended school, I like to imagine that he was clever, but didn't achieve his full potential.
>>3998800I bet he was an absolute menace on the playground.
>>3998805I feel like he was probably the one who was bullied...
>>3998806Probably. I do think he'd still want the other kids to pay attention to him though, even if he didn't respect any of them. The beginnings of his self-destructive behaviour, maybe.
>>3998807He might of been the type of kid to take any dare just to try to make a friend or two...
>>3998809I would be his friend…
>>3998809I sort of see him as the weird kid who didn't really have friends, who wanted to keep to himself, but also wanting everyone to be interested in what he was doing. So yeah, taking a few dares so that he would have an audience. Always a little performer. It might also have started his disdain of friendship as he grew up and accomplished his goal of becoming a radio star, even without needing to have any pesky friends.(sorry if I'm rambling btw, just got out of labs and my brain is mega-fucked)
>>3998817Who wouldn't!>>3998826No worries! I've been doing nothing but rambling since last Wednesday. It's good to vent or just get ideas out there sometimes. I think Al would probably be educated with white children if he was light-skinned Creole with a white father, as was often the case before the tightening of Jim Crow. He would have definitely wanted to fit in and feel like part of the group, even if his efforts were futile.
>>3998828I just want more Alastor backstory, it's not enough. A lot of people think we're going to get the Vox rejection scene from his perspective, but I don't know. There's also a lot of people talking about Alastor's story being told from everyone else's perspective. I honestly think though that he would be the most unreliable narrator of his own tale. I wouldn't trust Alastor to tell us the truth about his past at all.He really is always on the outside, isn't he? Never quite fitting in. I got that feeling at the start of this season with the hotel, how he was there but not really engaging with it at all. I felt sad for him.
>>3998838Viv already put the kibosh to that in one of her tweets saying that Alastor was just an asshole to Vox, and that it wouldn't be explored further. Alastor's backstory has been a major source of contention in the commentary community, since it was hyped up and the delivery was so underwhelming. A lot of people find him more interesting than other characters and want to understand why he is how he is. It looks like trauma reactions to me. Pretty textbook BPD/C-PTSD, but I suppose we'll never know. Viv is more interested in the TV. I feel like Alastor lacks the ability to feel safe in a crowd unless he holds significant power and influence over them. The last thing he'd want is to show his face after losing a battle and getting injured. It's probably a hold over from his life when he held very little institutional pull and was physically pretty slight.
>>3998852The thing is, I can't see Vox being that relevant past this season? Viv talking about how Adam didn't get enough screen time before being killed off in relation to what we see of Vox always made me think that even if he isn't killed off, he wouldn't really play a major part. While Alastor is definitely going to be relevant later on. That kind of thing would be good in comic form, though. An collection of comics about the human lives and stories about their time in Hell for the main cast? Viv could eat out on that for the rest of her life. Alastor's backstory is the only thing I've cared about this season. The plot in general has felt kind of secondary to the big lore drops. I hope we're about to get hit by it in the next few episodes. I really hope he learns to trust and let go of his trauma a bit. My biggest wish for the show in general is for Alastor to gain a proper friend.
>>3998861I also doubt Vox will be relevant past this season, but with Viv talking about a Vee spin off I feel like she's much more likely to want to tell their stories, rather than Alastor's, as sad as that is. Al's backstory is...kind of the only reason I'm watching at this point, and holding out the hope that he'll get some semblance of peace. But it's really becoming a struggle slogging through the fan service and mid tier songs to get to the good bits.
>>3998866At least if it only focuses on the Vees, it's easy to ignore it if you don't care about it. Maybe we'll get lucky and Viv will be inspired with how everyone is going mental for Alastor's backstory, and we'll get more deer again. I don't mind being delusional sometimes.
>>3998868Taking her obsessions out of the main show would be a blessing. Unfortunately I think she's written well into S4 by this point, I don't know if she'd be willing to work it in, but we can hope.
>>3998852Alastor wants attention but doesn't like the crowds. I suppose that's why he went into radio
>wake up with migraine on a work day with stat holiday payJust kill me nowAlso I don't care what Viv says, deer has BPD and that's why he responded this way
>>3998875Painful :( I wish you luck!
>>3998871Eh, she can still tweak it. They've talked about the voice actors making up their own lines, and I don't believe Viv thought of all those snide comments about her critics before season 2 was written. Not sweeping plot changes, sure, but fanservice we actually want?>>3998873He definitely likes controlling things from behind the scenes. I wonder if he ever sent out signed photos in his radio star days.>>3998875That sucks, feel better soon. And yes, fuck Viv and the garbage she spouts.
>>3998873His face is made for it, after all...>>3998875Hope you feel better soon. <3 And yes, I love our BPDemon. >>3998879True. Hopefully enough people are vocal about wanting to see more deer backstory and Viv will give us something we can all enjoy.
>>3998880I bought official merch, the bitch owes me a deer spinoff now. That's how it works.
>>3998888Digits of truth.
>>399888816 seasons of deer! I wonder how Alastor got into crossdressing, is there any reason for it at least? Or is it just Vivze being a Fujo>not that I’m complaining about Alastor in a dress mind you
>>3998889Digits for deer
>>3998889Yeahhh. My other stipulation is that it is entirely written by /deer/.>>3998890Has he actually worn a dress in canon other than the nun costume? I think it was just a case of Viv accidentally being based for once, and everyone ran with it. It suits him though, makes me think of James from Team Rocket, very flamboyant and theatrical.
>>3998892>My other stipulation is that it is entirely written by /deer/.Prepare to have a nugget episode lel
>>3998892>written entirely by /deer/Mom/son and a flashback to scout Al is on the menu boys and girls.
>>3998895Kino!
>>3998894>>3998895Sounds like kino to me.
>>3998897he should be smiling more, still a good deer maid
>>3998922Yeah, it's weird when he isn't smiling. I wonder if we'll see it in the show. I might scream.
>>3998926I’m surprised Vivze hadn’t thrown it out yet. She makes him swear like 5000 times now
>>3998980His "oh fuck" when he was rejecting Vox actually gave me pain in my stomach.
>>3998982Not great…
I wish deer would do this to me
He did so well today. The plan is clearly working.
Did you enjoy seeing Vox btfo of Lucifer?
>>3999022All I know that Lucifer has the worst sign on his door, why would you want to keep Alastor out? Vox is going to screw him over hard next episode. Hopefully it snaps him out of being a depressed loser. Someone needs to actually show growth in this show.
>>3999021Deer was so cute and devious>>3999022I don't give a single shit about Lucifer
>>3999024Vox is going to crash out so hard when he realises how well the deer has played him.
>>3999025His oneitis is his biggest weakness.
>>3999026I hope we get a scene of Vox screeching at Alastor about him being a whore or something, as the deer teleports out laughing maniacally at him.
>>3999025I doubt we'll get that catharsis
>>3999033I never really hope for anything where Viv is concerned. I can visualise it pretty well in my head though.
I’m a tvfag but I lurk these threads because I like the discussion here.
A little late to the party today, but my God, Hazbin has got to be one of the worst shows I've ever seen writing wise. >Heaven could shoot their giant pissbeam down at any second and destroy Vox, meaning that the stakes aren't even that high. Vox has no chance of success.>Lucifer is the biggest tittybaby I've ever seen. What do you mean he can't hurt sinners lmao?>Charlie is more worried about her reputation than her friend who's at the mercy of a sex pest and a rape demon. The friend who, you know, risked his life to protect her.>Carmilla acting like Vox is actually capable of doing anything to hurt Heaven. The pentagram seals sinners in, Heaven would have to come to Hell for there to even be a fight. >Angel Dust in drag and getting thrown around for no reason other than the plot demands it. >'Sexy' Chaggie scene falls flat when you know their 'friend' is at a rapist's house and there's another dumb war looming. At least Husk is an enjoyable character, he seems to be the only one who's as sick of this shit as I am.
>>3999038And on that note, the exterminations don't even hold as much weight when you know that they've only gone on for seven years. It's a genocide sure, but at the end of the day seven years pales in comparison to eternity. Alastor's been in Hell for at least 90 years, what's seven years to him? Viv probably thought she was really doing something by shoehorning in the Trump references. I know that hasn't been done to death. So stunning and brave.
>>3999039Terrible stuff
>>3999038It really is just plot convenience after plot convenience, with some shiny lore drops thrown in as distractions. >HeavenI can kind of see them not wanting to as Sera seems remorseful and hesitant. But it seems like most of the discussion in Heaven has only involved the characters we know for some reason. Lute could very easily go back now and stir up just as much shit as Vox has in Hell.>LuciferKind of ruins the whole 'Alastor can't do anything to Charlie because Lucifer would end him' thing. I feel like that will be relevant for Alastor at some point, but yeah, it's fucking weak. Does that mean Lilith was basically his muscle or something when dealing with sinners? Why does no one know about it, or so they just assume Lucifer is being pathetic?>ChaggieThat needed to be at the beginning of the season, and they should have actually spent time working on resolving their conflict this time around. It's even worse than their fight in season 1 for how it was glossed over. I'm worried that Charlie won't get the development she sorely needs. It's all very well for Viv to say that she's being stupid on purpose, but it means nothing if she doesn't do anything with it.>>3999039Vox said they killed thousands of sinners? That seems like a low number. In the overlord meeting, Carmilla said that the overlords own millions of souls, and about 16% of the total population of sinners was killed in one extermination. Why would Vox lowball, when he's trying to get the sinners to rise up? The maths nerd in me does not understand. The Trump references are funny after all of Viv's posts about not making the show about current politics. 'It just happened guys!' Yeah, right...
>>3999041>But it seems like most of the discussion in Heaven has only involved the characters we know for some reason.This. You would think that Heaven is run by Sera, are there other high ranking angels? One might could make the argument that Sera and co are in charge of mitigating Hell's issues, but a war would involve the consent and input of other high ranking officials. Where are the other archangels?>LuciferWhat's keeping anyone from hurting Charlie at this point? Rosie is obviously playing some 4D jew chess with Alastor to influence Charlie, but why bother? Just go and kidnap her or something lol. Charlie is apparently stupid enough to believe anything it seems. Is Viv trying to play Lucifer up as having depression induced apathy? Because it looks really gay. >CharlieSpeaking of Charlie, her relationship is so poorly handled that I genuinely think Vaggie should find someone else. Viv cannot write sapphic characters at all, and it comes across as a needy, codependent relationship. This would be fine if those dynamics were actually explored, but instead they're just glossed over and conflict is resolved with...sex? Ugh. Charlie not giving a single fuck about Alastor after knowing that he saved her hotel from Mimzy's shenanigans and then got permanently injured fighting Adam is a really bad look.>VoxEverything about that is bad. Viv isn't beating any accusations and the math simply doesn't add up.
>>3999041That’s a cute deer, he likes spinning!
>>3999035TVfags are honorary deerfags considering how deerpilled he is.
I hope the shit with Angel effectively shuts up the people last week decrying Alastor for being mean to Vox. He should've been meaner to the deranged simp desu.
An anon brought up the difference in Vox’s hate for Alastor versus Angel. With Alastor it seems like Vox still wants to impress him despite everything but he just straight up despises Angel in contrast.
>>3999043We already know there are higher angels than Sera since the Speaker of God exists. Or if not angels, heavenly authority. The Heaven hierarchy just looks like a mess. Abel is a complete non-character. I know that Viv putting in other Biblical characters would be shit, but come on, Heaven as a faction are so ridiculously irrelevant and there are only 2 episodes left.Charlie is such a bad character at this point. Makes sense if she's Viv's self-insert, kek. Her being immature and making bad decisions could have been done well, instead it's only for plot convenience, and she still just gets coddled instead of actually improving. I thought there was a chance when Vaggie yelled at her, but no. They both just ignored that and went on to be petty to each other. Sorry but after Charlie's been going on about her dream failing being the worst thing ever and singing about how her life is basically a joke if redemption doesn't work, Vaggie telling her that she's the one hurting the hotel should have hit much harder.Viv just can't write relationships fullstop I think. The ones that she gets praised for barely show up in either show.I did some number crunching and the show feels all over the place with the numbers. Fuck you Viv for triggering my autism.>>3999044Idk how that one clip is like an hour long, the deer would get dizzy spinning for all that time...
been a while since I baked but /trash/ deer is up!>>>/trash/79179373>>>/trash/79179373
>>3999051He is having fun!
>>3999048Agreed. Vox woobifiers are the worst.>>3999050I think that Vox wants to prove Alastor wrong, yes. That's probably the only reason he hasn't full on raped and killed him.>>3999051Charlie is a better representation of pride than her father at this point. She's willing to sacrifice her 'friends', ignore their boundaries, and not care if they're potentially in danger. Unless she has a major character development arc in the next two episodes I'm just going to write her off. It's especially sad as a Charlastor enjoyer.>>3999052I'll head over!
>>3999050It's definitely a stark contrast and I think it's neat character writing. All throughout Vox's episode with Alastor he's flipflopping between abuse, humiliation, and affection, like all his complicated feelings are bursting at once. Even in their song, he's flinging deer around while also having moments like dancing with him or cupping his face. And in all honesty, despite the humiliation, I don't think I could see Vox back handing Alastor the way he did Angel because at the end of the day, he desperately wants his senpai to notice him. Even his making Alastor watch him have sex still centers around peacocking for him ("look at how much of a man I am, look at what you could be having right now if you said yes, look at how good I am at sex, look at me"). But that affection is what is keeping Alastor safe as Vox is monstrous to people he doesn't care about (telling Pentious to kill himself, constantly killing his underlings, everything with Angel, etc.). People say there's no "complicated" in the "complicated and sad", but I see a lot of it in how Vox treats deer.Apologies for the fujo ramble in a primarily yume thread, it's nearing 6 AM and I got a lot of thoughts about these two.
>>3999055I think he’s still in love with him in a weird way to some degree. He could still prove him wrong and be as vicious to him as he is to Angel but he isn’t.
>>3999056>I don't think I could see Vox back handing Alastor the way he did AngelHard disagree. Vox shocked the shit out of Alastor and sexually menaced him. Vox may still hold romantic feelings for Alastor, but he's not a tender character. He's a violent sadist who enjoys hurting and using people. He's keeping Alastor alive so long to prove that he's a God like figure and that Alastor was a fool for turning him down.
>>3999055While I don't like them together romantically, it's still killing my dreams of Alastor and Charlie being genuine friends. Though, I can see her being too overwhelmed to deal with it right now. Alastor has been distant for most of the season too. >>3999056>>3999059I kinda agree with Millie on this. Right now, Vox's obsession with Alastor is too far gone. While Vox is still winning, and he gets to shove Alastor's face in it, it's all good. He gets to do all the cutesy date stuff and ignore what his actual partner thinks about it. But that would change, if Alastor is still in his grasp when he starts losing, and especially once he realises that Alastor is helping to drive the other Vees away. I 100% believe that Vox would take out his frustrations on Alastor and lash out, despite any affection he still has for Alastor. He doesn't exactly treat Val and Vel well at times, as we've seen in the past few episodes. With Angel, Vox doesn't have any of the prior affection he had for Alastor. He's just a whore that's easy to use for his own benefit, despite Val clearly not being happy about it. He probably harbours some jealousy towards Angel as well, since Val favours him so much. Angel is an easy target for now, but I do think he would turn on Alastor eventually. (they're toxic and I love it)
>>3999062As much as I like Charlastor, I would really prefer for it not to be in the show. Viv would utterly ruin it. That said, Charlie's reaction is...odd. She knows that Alastor is in danger of SA, but she doesn't...I dunno, send her dad down to save him, or assert her powers as a princess just once? Remember the whole 'I don't take shit from other demons' bit in the pilot? I guess Viv just decided to make her a pushover to advance the plot. Alastor not only risked his life for Charlie, but made their victory possible by enlisting the cannibals. And yet she's having badly written sex and hyperfixating on her own image instead of trying to help. It's bizarre behavior. On the topic of Vox and Alastor, I think the main reason Vox acts differently towards Angel is because he gets no sexual gratification from abusing Angel. He's probably jealous of him and sees him more as a means to an end. He's disposable. Alastor, on the other hand, is a source of narcissistic supply. He doesn't want to break his toy so soon because he enjoys Alastor's suffering. I have no doubt that Vox would harm Alastor if he feels he's no longer useful. There's nothing in Vox's behavior that would point towards him having tender feelings for Alastor anymore, he may feel sexulust, bug I think his desire to prove Al wrong trumps any romantic feelings tenfold.
>>3999067>sexual lust, butI'm sorry, I seem to have had a stroke.
>>3999067Lucifer's inability to harm sinners really recontextualises his role at the hotel. He was projecting onto Alastor hard. At least Alastor could actually fight Vox if he decided to attack Charlie. Charlie must know that Lucifer can't attack sinners, he said it very casually to Vaggie when she asked him to go attack Vox. While it might be a secret kept from the sinners, it's probably something she should know. (though with how good the Morningstars are at talking to each other, who knows) Even when Alastor was hurting, and feeling spiteful, he still showed up, Lucifer just sits in his room and makes rubber ducks. Charlie does feel weird in putting her feelings and especially the reputation of her hotel before the safety her friends, you're right on that. >I lol'd at sexulust sorryIn the past Vox kind of put Alastor on a pedestal, he admired how strong he was. Their relationship is vastly different now. Vox believes he's the one on top (for some reason, idk why he blindly took Alastor's deal) while Alastor is scheming and pulling strings right under his nose. Vox's blindspot when it comes to Alastor could stem from his lingering romantic feelings, a small part of him that wishes things had turned out differently. But he absolutely wants to rub his nose in it, Alastor seeing him win and conquer Heaven is probably more Vox's dream than actually ruling Heaven.
>>3999072I wonder how Alastor will react when he finds out that Lucifer is essentially useless in protecting Charlie. Will he feel vindicated? I suppose this puts the end to the idea that Lucifer will come in and save Alastor. Looks like it'll be Charlie if anyone.
>>3999083At this point Alastor should just save himself, maybe Angel too, screw them all. Though Charlie has to be involved somehow with the deal that Alastor made with Vox, I guess. I've seen some speculation that Alastor will end up basically being an executioner for Lucifer since he can't hurt sinners and Alastor can. Though I don't know how they would engineer that. It could work in context of their relationship developing, as per Viv.
>>3999059>>3999062I just remembered the part where he cruelly rips out Alastor's stitches and literally got off to Alastor getting rekt by Adam in season 1. I still see his cruelty towards Alastor as different compared to his sheer contempt of Angel though. But yeah, my bad.
>>3999089It is different, I doubt Vox ever respected Angel even a little bit, but he did respect Alastor at one time. He probably still does, begrudgingly, since he doesn't know that Alastor sold his soul for his power. I wonder if anyone finds out about that, since he supposedly breaks his deals next week.
>>3999090>He probably still doesOh he absolutely does, it's why he keeps falling for Alastor's mind games and ribbing. He still wants to prove himself to his senpai
*Deep breath*Anyway, deer.

Hey Millie thanks for acknowledging me on /trash/. I hope to see you again on /hhg/ one day. You deerfags are good people. I will stick up for genuinely good people always. Take this one image as my deer tax.
>>3999421When I first saw it, I knew I would use it often. On the topic on deer news, I've just seen a few posts on twitter saying that according to those who had early access, Alastor has a good bit of screen time in the next two episodes. I can't find anything to substantiate it, but good for us if it's true.
>>3999424Hawaiian deer!
>>3999424Thanks anon, see you around.>>3999426I hope so. My wish is that he gets revenge on Vox in some manner. I just hope that he doesn't end up forgiving the other Vees and becoming friends with them, since I can't see that making sense narratively.
>>3999429It wouldn't make sense for Alastor. I still stand by what I said on /trash/, he might superficially enjoy their company, but at the end of the day he's using them to get to Vox, which is the ticket out of his deal. It would be weird if he ends up actually friends with them.
>Amir is in the last two songs of the seasonI wonder if he gets his own section like in Finale last season, talking about his plans now that he's unclipped his wings.
>>3999475is this heaven? >>3999478Hopefully, his part wasn't too bad in season one
>>3999479The parts of Hear my Hope we've heard so far don't really sound very Alastor-ish to me? It's 5 minutes long though, and the other one is 3 minutes long, so plenty of time to hear about his maniacal plans.
>>3999481I haven't seen any of the music leaks so I will have to see when it drops
>>3999498It's not really a leak, it was in the official trailer. It would be weird to see him joining hands with everyone and singing some big 'we are all friends now' song after everything that's happened this season.
>>3999478Probably. I can't imagine it will be anything good, unfortunately.
I'll bake a new thread... I didn't notice that we were at bump...
