>>4026189The concept of a triptych suits Alastor super well, I think. It would be a really cool addition to a shrine, like, a proper wooden painted triptych. I'd love to see it if you ever did draw it though, but /hhg/ is /hhg/.
>>4026201>finally a pride flag for me...If I do end up setting up an art page on Twitter or Tumblr I'd probably figure out a way to send links without posting them directly here. You know how people are. AO3 has a 'secret' way to DM if you post a comment and then immediately delete it, provided the recipient has email notifications enabled.
>>4026215I feel like the flag needs more red on it. Ooh sign me up for the secret art page. I've been meaning to get into tumblr, I have an account but I never use it. I'd say I have no time but I've spent hours this evening/night staring at a fucking trading card.
>>4026201Deer sexual…
Fluffy hair deer...
>>4026241The best deer hair!
It's a good deer art day today, I truly am blessed.
>>4026217Perhaps in the next few months I'll look into it. I really should get back into my creative endeavors. I hardly update my fic these days, so I've probably lost a chunk of readers who prefer regular updates lol. On another note AO3 has just now gotten back with me over the harassment report, I probably won't pursue it because the offending party ended up deleting their posts after getting publicly shamed. But it's interesting to see AO3's response times if there's ever an issue. >>4026293A good thread to wake up to.
>>4026295Oh christ, that's a long time. That was months ago, I figured you'd heard back ages ago. Imagine if she'd carried on all this time. You're probably better off letting it go, she definitely got told at the time. I'm still reading and enjoying, so you've at least got one reader. No one's owed an update, you're doing it for free, after all. I'm pretty sporadic with updates too. I ended up updating 2 separate fics on sunday, I planned to finish off another chapter yesterday but I got distracted by my shiny trading cards. Then I'll not write anything for like a week. Que sera.
>>4026295Very slow, least thy gave you the option to pursue something.>>4026293Been a very good day for deer art!
>>4026304I'm glad, it's been kind of shit recently. Mostly reposts or text posts I don't care about. Show us pretty deer.
>>4026300If she had doubled down and continued to make a fool of herself I'd pursue it, but as is I'll let it go. I know AO3 is volunteer run, but if it had been anything serious I do wonder how effective their staff is at handling these situations. I think Tumblr ultimately brought the hammer down after Sigil reported it. Anyway, I'm happy to have any readers, but most thankful for my deer friends here, whose opinions I value the most. My last few weeks have been difficult when it comes to doing much of anything, so I need to catch up on the latest chapter of the Swamp Witch. :3 At least I have something good to read during my bathtime instead of forwarding work emails and doomscrolling.
>>4026308More and more deer!
Fish with deer
>>4026327It's a little concerning, with the increase in people who think that anything too dark shouldn't be allowed on ao3. Those people can get pretty nasty (ironically), so if she had carried on or persuaded others to harrass you, it could have ended badly. Ah well, not having time for anything sucks, I hope it's entertaining. I need to start on the next chapter really. Perhaps I'll write it over Easter. >>4026338Is he going to eat all those fish himself? He's very good at fishing.
>>4026340I can imagine he is! He probably spent a lot time time down by whatever creek or pond or maybe even the bayou fishing since he was little. He could probably catch a fish with just a bit of line and patience!
>>4026347I always kind of forget about that when I'm writing, and make him eat meat all the time. I should make him fish at some point, that would probably be a nice relaxing scene.
>>4026349Oh that would be nice! Could make it a thing where he eats voxs fish like employees, baits them the same way but instead of bait it’s a dollar on a string
>>4026340One good thing about AO3 is that you can easily mute/block people and moderate your comments fairly well. I do appreciate that aspect. Most of the time I ignore such petty nonsense, but when you have someone actively encouraging other users to harass you...it kind of forces your hand, unfortunately. I know this sort of thing has been happening to RS shippers on AO3 and other platforms simply because people don't like the ship or content that suggests rape. While I can't say I'm a fan of those things myself, it's incredibly easy to use filters or go elsewhere so that you're not exposed to content that upsets you. I think targeted harassment is the only thing these people have because the content they detest doesn't violate TOS on their respective platforms. It's sad that people can't recognize fiction for what it is.And yeah, these last two weeks have been miserable lol. Hopefully we'll all have extra time as Easter approaches.
>>4026359That would be funny, maybe Alastor could serve some to Vox and then tell him it's his top employees. >>4026384I'm quite lucky, the only kind of negative comment I ever got was on my consensual cannibalism fic, and it was just someone saying 'oh hell no' or something. Everyone is getting so entitled, if a fic isn't for you then just scroll on. It's fair enough getting annoyed if something isn't tagged properly, but you were upfront with what was coming. I think half the issue with RS is coming from newer RS shippers, who don't want it to be labelled as a proship because proshipping is bad in their eyes. I don't mind a bit of fluffy RS, but you can't say you're a fan of the ship and ignore 90% of their canon interactions. One of the downfalls of getting popular, I guess. None of these people would have survived fanfiction.net, that's for sure.
>>4026415Too many people getting into fandoms when they really shouldn’t is sad, Making a whole lot worse.
>>4026415>oh hell noI saw that one and had a little chuckle, because I'm like 'oh hell yes', ha. I think a lot of the shippers are either younger, or are coming from a more 'woke' mindset and feel the need to justify their interest in a flavor of the month ship. RS is always going to 'problematic' because it's two serial killers, let alone the racial and noncon implications. I'm not sure why they'd even want to get involved with the ship to begin with.
>>4026474Yeah, it's annoying having to block so many people just to have a decent experience. >>4026519I realy don't get it because everything about that fic tells you what's about to happen. The title, the tags, the warnings, the summary... if you get past all of that without realising then you're kind of dumb. You can really tell with RS who liked it before season 2. I don't like the idea of Vox being reduced a giant rape monster who victimises poor dainty Alastor because it's ooc for both of them, but bullying an artist off twitter because they drew implied noncon is just shitty behaviour. They are not good people and they bring out the worst in each other at times, that's part of the appeal.
>>4026701And somehow more of them still pop up. It’s very sad. I should bake a trash /deer/ in a bit I think….
>>4026783It’s like whack-a-mole…>trash /deer/Yaaay.
>>4026785Yay indeed>forgot to put the .5Dang, no point in rebaking however>>>/trash/81795099>>>/trash/81795099>>>/trash/81795099
>>81892242It does make me wonder why AO3 doesn't have a feature that allows a pseud to be completely anonymous. Presently it's really only good for separating fandoms and different ship dynamics, otherwise I wouldn't have initially worried about separating things. I personally think incest, especially dd, gets maligned more than noncom because of an association with grooming/lolisho, even if the character is of age. I feel like noncon in the same bracket as guro, 'weird, but not cancel worthy', at least with fanfic, art is another story. I say just write what you enjoy, you'll always have a dedicated audience here.
>>4028080Noncon has kind of been a thing in fandom though for decades, if I had £1 for every crappy "x character gets raped but then saved by their love interest" fic I've ever read, I would finance that /deer/ meet in New Orleans kek. I'll make a new account, but I'll always bother you lot with my fics as long as /deer/ is around.
>>4028080My typos are plentiful. I should be as anal about proofreading here as I am in other areas. Damn.
>>4028081That's the thing, I didn't want to say that noncon is 'normalized', but harkening back to those yaoi paddle days...yeah, it was a very common trope, and that carries forth to this day. It's also a very, very common kink, so people have a tendency to want to play semantics with what's 'worse'. Which is always fun to see. A separate account is a good idea for incest though, and we're more than happy to read. :D
>>4028083I just do not have time for drama, not that I'm some massive writer with a huge following, but if it happens I'd rather keep it contained. Arguing with morons is funny sometimes. We live in a very weird time, and there are some strange moralities around. For me, if it's fictional and no real person or animal is being harmed, I couldn't give less of a fuck what anyone wants to write or draw.
>>4028084>don't have time for dramaNor do I. I've had to say as much on /hhg/ recently because the unfortunate truth is that whenever you gain a semblance of notoriety or 'fame' nutters will attach themselves to you. Let alone if you create 'taboo' content. Keeping it contained to a particular place definitely helps. As far as fiction is concerned, I can't be arsed to care about assorted pencil lines or words. I just avoid what upsets me, it's easy enough.
>>4028087I'm glad my small amount of notoriety was way back in the days of livejournal. I don't think some people realise that sometimes, people use fiction to work through their own trauma. I got a few comments on my noncon fic saying it felt realistic, that they could relate. Well, it was mostly venting, haha. There's a reason for that.
>>4028081>>4028084>>4028083Drama is always a pain
>>4028092>people use fiction to work through their own trauma100% this. I've had people say the same. 'You write about having an ED so well.' 'You write about grooming so viscerally.' Yeah, well a lot of it is the fact that I'm just venting my experiences lol. And it helps. A lot. I hope it's helped you too.
>>4028093Absolutely. I just want to have fun with deer. Is that too much to ask?
>>4028097These days? Maybe!
>>4028096It's been a healthier coping mechanism than other things, at least. There will be some people for whom reading about it will trigger them, and that's fine, but your triggers are your own responsibility.>>4028099Well I'm going to ignore it and have fun anyway, so there.
>>4028100It's especially true on AO3 where most normal writers will tag every possible trigger warning. Ultimately the only person responsible for you is you, so they have no real leg to stand on if they willingly access content that they know to be triggering.
>>4028101I'm hyper-worried about it with my fics, especially the more wholesome ones. I was super worried in my valentine's fic about mentioning Alastor killing a dog lel. No one even cared, obviously. Still, there's always the weird group who glaze over Alastor's bad side.
>>4028107I was worried about it initially, and I still low key do fret some, especially during the really nsfw bits of my stories. But I try to ignore people who woobify Alastor. I remember one person saying that I 'ruined him as a character'. Because it's absolutely unbelievable that a cannibal serial killer who keeps rotting corpses in his kill shack would commit incest or be domineering. Very unbelievable indeed. These people genuinely need to find another character to hyperfixate on, or at the least realize that they have an OOC version in of him their heads. We all love silly little goober Al, but I think we all also know that it's ultimately OOC.
>>4028113Wow, you're actually Viv and your fic is the leaked script for season 3? Crazy. Honestly some people are just dense. It's like the ones who say you can't ship Charlastor because in Hell's Greatest Dad, Alastor says she's like a daughter to him. At that point I have to imagine they never watched the episode and just googled the song lyrics. It's another reason I like posting here, we can say silly things about Al but we all know it's ooc, and don't take everything super seriously.
>>4028130I try to give them *some* grace and tell myself that most of these woobifiers are probably kids who feel guilty about having an objectively 'evil' husbando. It's probably the first time they've experienced attraction to someone that their moralistic peer group considers 'bad'. A lot of the more mature yumes/shippers take a nuanced view, thankfully. Even still, it's a pain in the ass to deal with. Especially with the girlies who project their political beliefs on him. Whew.
According to the VoxTek website, it looks like we're getting a human Vox standee on the 31st. I wonder if that means we're going to get a human Alastor one at the same time. I'm fucked if we do, I don't get my bursary until the 2nd April.
>>4028268I somehow doubt we'll get anything, but it would be nice. I just got this little guy and he fills out my shelf nicely. I still have room for one more large standee, so we'll see.
>>4028283I think if we're getting Vincent, we're very likely to get human Al as well, even if it isn't this drop. If we do get it in this drop I hope I hate it, or at least that it doesn't sell out immediately. The Valentines standees lasted a while, so there's hope if that's the case.
>>4028268>>4028283>>4028289It’s nice to hope I suppose and we always have fan merch.
>>4028292I just know if we do get it, they would release it the one time I have literally no way of buying it.
>>4028268I'm so fucking tired of Vox and Voxcels.
>>4028297Oof. It always happens like that. Either that or you forgot about it and then it’s sold out
>>4028304I do hope we get better gimmicks next season. Vox was ok but none of his scenes with any of the characters were exceptional. Though to be fair most interactions where mid at best
>>4026293I love this, I absolutely need to see more Horror Alastor art and I’m surprised I haven’t found more of it out there. it’s just too good
The particular artist is so unfathomably based. I’ve followed her for a few years and she draws him so delectably perfect it’s amazing
They made a solo human Vox standee and are releasing something else on the 31st so a lot of people think we may be getting a solo human Alastor standee as well. That or they just made the human Vox one for the backlash of his valentines merch all being headless.
>>4028383It’s so good, I love when artists draw him all big and spindly and monstrous. >>4028390I doubt it’s because of the backlash or we’d have loads of RS merch as well, I think the merch is just coming out super slowly. It would be interesting to know exactly what input Viv and the crew has on the merch, as opposed to what A24 decide. It’s frustrating we don’t get the same level of merch as HB, but I wonder how much of that is actually Viv’s fault.
>>4028385A glorious deer
So fluffy
>>4028460That's a fluffy deer, would run my hands all over.
>>4028462We all would but imagine the amount of effort it takes to keep it clean and smelling good
>>4028464I think after a while, I'd give up and just deal with a musky deer. You could just help him get cleaned up for special occasions.
>>4028465True, can’t be doing it for him everyday, and he isn’t going to put all that effort in himself. I suppose some stinky deer days are necessary. What sort of products would you use to keep him clean though. Never washed a stinky deer boy before
>>4028466Some kind of shampoo? Something gentle, if you have to use it all over. And not too strong a scent either. I guess you could kind of groom him like a horse or something. I think you'd also have to get him dried properly too, especially with the chest fluff. I imagine it would be like a wet dog smell if you left it.
>>4028468>wet dogYeah that’s no fun. You have to have him sun it all day nude or you have to brush dry it yourself
>>4028473Hm, I don't know which would be more fun. It's definitely too much work to do every day thought.
>>4028477Decisions Decisions... Alastor would want the best if he had to bathe as well so be prepared to shell out alot of dollars to keep him clean!
>>4028478You'd have to do a full on spa day. Get those hooves trimmed, claws manicured... I wonder if he'd need his ears cleaned out, you could get some scratches in while doing that. How many whiskeys would you need to give him so you could brush his tail without getting clawed to death?
>>4028479That would be a good day!>ears cleaned outDear God he probably hasn’t even touched em…
I hope everyone had a good /deer/ day, I took my family to get some burgers and ice cream!Anyway, to circle back to what I was saying here >>4028145 about people projecting their personal beliefs onto Al... I really love StickerSpiderCo, but girl...GIRL, please don't do this, I just want cute Al stickers. :,) My personal reservations aside...it uh, makes no sense. During Alastor's lifetime Creoles were faced with economic replacement as New Orleans got flooded with Italian and Irish immigrants, as such Creoles became incredibly anti-immigrant and tensions remained high well until WWII. Odds are Alastor wouldn't exactly like migrants based on this fact. And it's EXTREMELY unlikely that he would consider Louisiana 'stolen', Creoles have a lot of national pride in settling and building their state. They love being part French, it's a core component of their identity, colonialism isn't a dirty thing to them. And finally, I don't really expect Europeans to be in touch with what's happening here in the Gulf, but yeah...Our culture is disappearing, well it's being replaced. My mother's generation had mandatory Cajun French in school. Me? Spanish. At our local Catholic parishes they're removing our Southern folk saints and replacing them with Lady of Guadalupe shrines... And it's happening in the entire gulf region from southwest Georgia to Cajun Texas. Something tells me Alastor would be utterly horrified by this.
>>4028484He's be so surprised when his hearing magically gets better afterwards... you'd think he'd want to do it to listen to his music. Maybe he listens with the volume turned up really high so he can hear it, lel. >>4028529I've been speedrunning assignments so I can actually get some sleep this weekend. Somehow my broke ass managed to get a date as well who's willing to drive up to take me out. >picHoly shit I hate. Unless Al is pretending so they'll trust him, and luring them in so he has a steady stream of victims. And if they happen to go missing? Those ICE meanies obviously got them, Alastor isn't to blame, look at him being all performative and shit, he's clearly a good boy. As a European, I'm cautious about commenting on US politics because outside of the broad strokes, and the attention grabbing headlines, it isn't massively reported on here. The information is out there I guess but unless you have a vested interest in a specific area, I don't know why you'd spend time looking it up. Like we don't have enough problems of our own. Using characters to push this kind of message is pretty iffy anyway, but even without the historical context, it's not something Alastor would give a shit about anyway. It's like when people were protesting ICE with Vox signs. The white guy from the 1950s who calls Spanish an island language. Yeah, sure, he'd definitely hate ICE. I hate this so much.
>>4028542>dateCongratulations! Hopefully they're fun to hang out with and you have a great time. I do miss those 'courting' days, even if it was just going to Wetherspoons lol.I do wonder if Al would be performative like that to secure a few victims... He could make a nice meal out of them for sure. I'm just weary of politics in general. The world is very polarized nowadays and this silly little demon show is something of an escape for me. I personally don't mind Europeans having opinions on US politics, but the problem is that things are very sensationalized (the same is true here when it comes to reporting on Europe), because it's half a world away. They're not going out of their way to show how mass migration affects places like the Gulf, which is one of the poorest and most sparsely populated areas of the Eastern US. Why would they? So I don't expect anyone who isn't from here to have their fingers on the pulse, so to speak. That said, if you've using a character who IS from here to push a political ideal, uh, due diligence is a thing...? We had an Islamist terrorist attack in New Orleans a year ago, on Alastor's birthday no less. Even if we ignore historical context and plop him down in modern times, I highly doubt he'd be okay with bringing in more immigrants who are going to attack and kill his own people because they disagree with the lifestyle here. That seems like a good way to end up on his dinner plate. I'm pretty sure Al wouldn't give a shit about any inherent suffering unless it negatively impacts him, and in this case that doesn't bode well for the immigrants lol...
>>4028529>>4028586>that sticker GOD that’s dumb. And it sucks to hear about all that too. It’s an unfortunate thing to see things actively deteriorate to appease foreigners. I’m sure Alastor would be furious seeing what was happening. Seems like a good day with the burgers and ice cream though!>>4028542>those ice meanies got emNow that’s something he would do for sure. If they are going to be gotten rid of soon, might as well get a few meals out of them. Waste not want not and all that! Alastor is an Old old man! He probably doesn’t notice the difference in his hearing and is putting it off. I’m sure he would be surprised by improvement though. >dateThat’s good! Hope it was a good one.
Idk if you guys are interested in Radiojoy but I decided to participate in this RJ wedding thingy... https://archiveofourown.org/works/81950746/chapters/215615966>>4028586We're going for coffee. It's sweet he wants to drive up and take me out, even knowing I have like £1.20 in my bank account haha. That's why I won't speak on it, I don't know the details, so why should I? More people should be quiet about shit they don't know anything about. Alastor would absolutely kill someone who tried to change his lifestyle, he literally sold his soul so he could continue to do what he likes in Hell. Even if Alastor got harrassed by ICE for being brown, I doubt he would decide to go on a crusade against them. If anything he'd keep it quiet for the sake of his reputation, before finding the people responsible and murdering them for his own satisfaction.>>4028593Alastor gets to kill and eat people, someone else gets the blame. It's a win-win. Haha it's funny to think of Alastor like a old man shouting at everyone because he can't hear, and blasting jazz at full volume because he can't hear it otherwise. Silly old deer.
>>4028601way to silly...>Radiojoymight give it a look
>>4028602Can't promise it'll be the greatest fic ever, since I spammed 26k words in like a week and I still have 3 chapters to edit on top of assignments, but it'll be sweet anyway.
>>4028529This fucking sticker holy shit ahahahaha.I was gonna say, remember when the Axeman of New Orleans (that Alastor is undoubtedly *loosely* based on) murdered mostly Italian immigrant families?
>>4028593He really is just an angry old man who needs to stop yelling at clouds...>>4028601Nice! It is just Charlastor-lite, so I'll give it a read. :3 And coffee is good, I hope it goes well...I think Alastor wouldn't be very involved in projecting a political opinion, it would probably lose listeners and I can't imagine him wanting that. I imagine he had a conservative view on most things being male and from the 20s, but that's about it. He's too self focused to worry about much else.>>4028635Yeah...when I was speaking of 'high tensions' I wasn't joking lol. We do know the Axeman was Creole, and his actions were motivated by a very strong dislike towards Italian immigrants. The guy was probably an inspiration to young Al...
Confession: RadioJoy makes me seethe so hard and feel sick to my stomach, as if I'm seeing my crush get engaged to a sweeter, nicer girl than me. Idk what is wrong with me, literally none of the other ships bother me like this one does lol. I am aware this is incredibly stupid but I had to get it off my chest
>>4028635You don't see enough of Alastor being compared to the Axeman. >>4028638I could maybe at a stretch see him ragebaiting people over the radio for entertainment, but not as part of a regular radio show. He would have much more interesting things to say, and like you say he wouldn't want to lose his adoring fans just for a quick laugh.>>4028642That's fair, you can't like everything. My own dislike of Charlastor despite liking literally every other Alastor ship to some degree is fairly irrational, so I kind of get it. I'm finally at a point where I don't say 'ew' out loud when I come across it now, so there's hope.
>>4028645>>4028635>>4028638ive seen some good fan art of alastor as the ax man>>4028605its not too bad!
>>4028653I'm glad it's not bad! The next chapter is like 9k words. Ugh... editing is such a bitch.
>>4028655Got todo it though. Otherwise going back your gonna get angry at yourself for missing or messing up certain lines
>>4028645I can imagine Al using whatever cause celeb to his advantage for sure, but only if he absolutely had to. A little trolling is always fun.>>4028642I feel the same way about Murdermedia, it's just not for me. Though I'm glad others can enjoy what I don't.>>4028653Sexy axeman...
>>4028676Usually I spew words on a page and go back and make it better, usually I end up taking loads out. This time the word count keeps increasing, lel. Gotta shove some French in there...
Even more four hooved deer. Cute.
>>4028758What a lovely centaur!
>>4028758Love my centaurs, cute. :D
And a deer on a horse. So many good deers.
>>4028765>>4028769lovely stuff! when will deer ride deer?
>>4028784Soon, hopefully.
Need more deer with hair clips.
>>4028804Haven’t seen many of those but I will look around for them!>>4028681I’m guessing it takes a while to do th translations right as well?
>>4028817I can't remember having seen him with hair clips, haha I just thought it was cute. I mostly make him say French terms of endearment, so it doesn't take take much. I like to look it up though, to make sure it sounds natural. I studied French for years, but it's been a while since I used it.
Take his hand, what could go wrong?
>>4028916You lose the hand, but that’s a small price to pay!
>>4028926It'll grow back, probably. Plus you get to hold his hand, even if it's brief.
Ooh, you can get >>4028758 as a standee... https://acggoods.com/store/nightfar
>>4028928All worth while! Still can’t find any pics of alastor with hair clips. Found some with those hair rollers though
>>4028938I'd take rollers. I just thought he looked cute with the clips. Since everyone likes him with his hair tied back, I thought there might be more with clips as well.
>>4028933I was considering this one from American VVitchcraft, but I'm holding out to see if we get an official human Al drop with the Vincent one. And unfortunately I'm running out of room on my shrine. I need to do a little rearrangement probably.
>>4028951I swear this one had it... I will keep looking cause I know I had oen like that somewhere>>4028961that ones not bad either!
>>4028961That one's really nice, I'd be tempted if I was more into human Al. I hope we do get an official one though, if we only get more Vox so many people are going to complain about it. I'm considering asking for a loan from my mother just in case we do get something good.>>4028963I swear I've seen it too, I don't have time to scour through my folders though. Too much deer.
>>4028970thats a major problem i have, way too much of him to sort through. Id know i have an image but i just cant seem to find it till after the moments passed!
>>4028986Yeah... sometimes I have the image in my mind, and I know I have it, but my sorting system is fairly arbitrary at times so I end up saving things in stupid places, and then I can't find them again.
>>4028987poor poor Alastor :(>I have the image in my mind, and I know I have it, but my sorting system is fairly arbitrarythe worst is finding them again after the fact when looking for something that again will only be located 2 days later
>>4028992That happens to me far too often. It'll be something hyperspecific that's relevant to the discussion, and I'll never be able to find it. Then a day or so later when the topic has changed, it's everywhere. The stupid TVs? No rights picture does that to me a lot, kek.
>>4028993That’s a good one. Tv deserves no rights!
>>4029005Yup, that’s why it’s annoying when I can’t find it. TVs must be reminded.
>>4029006True!
He just wants to help.
>>4029117He’s the one that’s supposed to be nuggeted, not me!
>>4029119It’s nugget or be nuggeted, you have to move fast or your limbs are forfeit.
>>4029120The horror, I do enjoy the dichotomy of him being just a silly showman and a axe wielding loony.
>>4029121The dualities of deer. Is there anything he can’t do?
>>4029123Have good writers work on his show perhaps. But that’s something outside of his control…
>>4029126If he was real he might kill Viv off and write it himself. Imagine, Hazbin Hotel written by Alastor.
>>4029127Oh now THAT will be a good show. I wonder if he would focus on himself, or try to keep things balanced
>>4029139He’ll give balanced screen time to his enemies, as we watch them being killed off. It would be the greatest piece of radio demon propaganda ever.
>>4029140Very lovely!
New human Al zine looks promising...
>>4029166Ah yeah, I saw that. It looks good. I mean it's Alastor, of course it does. But still..
A little too furry for me but oh my gosh that fawn... So tiny.
>>4029278They gave him too much deer juice… now he is like double or triple deer
So uh, we got human deer. There's a standee and a tshirt as well.
>>4029328I snagged a card and the standee, I'll probably sit out on the t-shirt, since I already have the Hot Topic one. Not to mention the stigma of wearing them, ha.
>>4029353Nice, I got all three. I'm so glad I asked for money, the card is gorgeous and it's already on ebay for over £80. I'm appreciating the Radiorose vibes.
>>4028916Alastor: May I take your hand?>Yes!*literally cuts off your hand*
>>4029405How generous of you.
>>4029365I caught someone else's ban, sorry.I've already seen scalpers on Mercari and other places selling them for inflated prices. It's really annoying when people buy like 20 cards because it makes them sell out super quickly.
>>4029428Apparently some people have had their orders cancelled for buying several cards. It would be funny if they scalped them and then got their orders cancelled.I do think that's a little harsh, I know some people order for themselves and a friend to cut down on shipping costs. I've seen some people who were charged more than $20 for shipping for just the card, that's just crazy. But at the same time, if it stops the scalpers, then good.
>>4026201True
>>4029431I got changed about $9 USD for shipping. I bought a cheap preorder off of Mercari to test whether it'll be cancelled. I'll either resell or save to trade for a friend if they didn't get one, provided it works. If I sell the buyer will be getting free surprise deer art and stickers. :3
>>4029428>caught someone else's banUnfortunate not a clue why it happens
>>4029437Some retard in the New Orleans area used a VPN and everyone in network caught a ban most likely.
>>4029436Mine was about $25 for all three, for just the card I checked and it was about $10. It's not as bad as the booster packs for sure, I don't think UK shipping was awful this time. But like I said, some people were paying over $20 just for the card in some places in Europe. I have seen several screenshots of people's orders on twitter where they have bought more than one card, if it's really that prolific then would they really cancel all the orders? That would be interesting. And then, would they put the cards back up for sale, since presumably they set the number of cards to begin with? It sounds like a lot of hassle, idk. Ahh that's so cute, surprise deer art is the best.
>>4029439Big rip
>>4029440The Mercari listing was $20, so ridiculously cheap. I'll see if it's a scam. I could always bring it back to Europe and trade it at one of the conventions if there are deer friends who couldn't afford shipping. From a logistics standpoint I can't imagine them canceling multiple orders like that, but perhaps they will and the cards will go back up.
>>4029445I saw a British yume complain about the shipping, but I didn't think it was horrendous for international shipping. Anyway, in the trading card discord they made an announcement that you're not allowed to sell it for over $14, or ask for crazy trades, so it's probably easy enough to get on there. Maybe they'll just go after the ones who bought more than one extra, like I saw one post where someone said they bought 4 and they were cancelled. I've seen a lot of people who bought one extra saying they're happy to trade etc so it's probably fairly common. We'll see I guess. If they do put them up again, I hope they give people plenty of notice.
>>4029449>cries in tariffNah, that shipping is reasonable compared to what I've had to pay for international shipping. I doubt it'll be a super rare/valuable card, so I really hope people don't spend more than the cost of the card + shipping. Viv kind of creates these situations by not announcing a card drop, so most of the people who would be interested miss out because they're not interested in sandees.
>>4029451At times it does kind of feel like we're in a black hole of merch over here, the US gets cheaper shipping from the official site, plus Hot Topic. Asia gets the Japanese merch. We have nothing really, maybe somewhere like Forbidden Planet might sell a few bits, idk. It hasn't held me back from getting merch though. At some point you just have to suck it up, or give up because it's not going to get any cheaper.
>>4029458If I wasn't traveling on budget airlines who fuck you over with baggage fees I'd definitely bring some Hot Topic merch at least. Living in the UK and loving this deer is a pain (worth it, but still a pain). I'm in a very privileged position in the sense that I can get around US tariffs when I'm in the UK, and I have access to the US market.
Be me on Mercari>Okay, so you'll ship the item when in hand right? I have very little preorder experience on Mercari...>'Why didn't you read the description if you're new, it clearly states instructions to message me first! Preorders aren't allowed on Mercari, I'm sending you a common card.'>Description literally says 'don't message me about item or you will be ignored'.Is this an IQ test? Why make a listing for a card you're not selling? What the fuck? It's not like I can't request a cancellation from Paypal... I understand why fans hate these people.
>>4029500oh that sound annoying... how the fuck do you even deal with that??
>>4029501I don't. I genuinely don't have time for bullshit, when sellers act retarded I cancel orders. It's usually indicative of a 3 day window scam anyway.>Seller ships you a common card 'in place of' the card you buy.>You accept the item and give them a positive review, per their request, with the understanding that they're supposed to make a reserved listing for you as 'proof' that they have it in hand.>They then ghost you, and after 3 days Mercari can't refund under their buyer protection clause. Scammers suck, but it makes me sad that I can't trade an extra card with someone. I was looking forward to making a deer care package for a lucky whoever lol.
>>4029466You could bring it to a con and sell it out of the suitcase, haha. You'd definitely be popular. With the Hot Topic stuff it's the psychological effect of paying so much for shipping that puts me off. I don't expect it to be trivial, but starting at $50 for one tshirt is crazy. I just can't do it.>>4029500That's crazy. It sucks that it's so easy to scam people like this. It's the fact that as soon as it released, it was up for sale for over $100. Like, what happens if your order is cancelled, or the package gets lost, or damaged? What if you receive a severely misaligned card? Some of the recent Helluva Boss standees have had terrible quality, I'm not saying it'll be the same situation with the Hazbin merch, but still. What's funnier is people trying to sell the standees for $125 when they'll still for sale on the website for $25. The actual audacity.
>>4029512The worst kind of people that. Feed them to Alastor!>>4029517>You could bring it to a con and sell it out of the suitcaseThat’s a way to do it.
>>4029538Idk I'd buy illicit deer merch from a random Yank with a suitcase outside a con.
I think they're in the process of shipping my card... Ahh so exciting.
>>4029542I would as well!>>4029581I am still waiting on a deer plush pre ordered and I’m chomping at the bit, AAAAA
>banned againFucking hell.
>>4029621chan is being very silly
>>4029598The waiting is the worst part... I have some merch at home that I'm looking forward to opening on Friday. >>4029621Oh dear...
>>4029675>on Friday That’s still a day a way, too long to wait!
>>4029779It's not too bad, I have to wait until the end of next week at least before I get the card, I need to get packed though. Depending on how much room I have I might take some deer merch home with me or it'll be lonely in my room. I can't even remember what I have to open, lel.I also just handed in my last assignment, so I have way more time for deer, which is always good.
>>4029781That’s good! Make sure you grab all the important stuff, like alastor. Hopefully whatever you got is good!
>>4029782If I had my way my suitcase would be all Alastor. I don't need clothes. I'll miss seeing him everywhere, but sometimes we have to suffer for love I guess.
>>4029785Those long long deer legs an his fluffy deer tail, to die for!
>>4029793Agreed, 100% would die for him, and all his beautiful parts.
>>4029779>>4029781I don't have a tracking number yet, but being in the states means it'll probably come pretty soon. The only issue is Sunday when everyone is off work, hopefully it'll be here tomorrow or Saturday...
