It is the final Gwensday thread of the year, and 2025 was a big year for Gwenpool. It was the 10th anniversary of the Deadpool's Secret Secret Wars variant that Gwen first appeared on, and it was the 10th anniversary of her first in comic appearance in her Howard the Duck back-ups. Gwen even got another mini-series this year on top of her occasional appearances in It's Jeff.Was 2025 a good year for Gwenpool? Will Marvel do anything in 2026 for the 10th anniversary of The Unbelievable Gwenpool?

The REAL Gwen Stacy this time, for realsies it wasn't, it was another clone who would be brought back with Deadpool's healing factor and thus make her a genuine 'Gwenpool' as a dark counterpart to the original Gwen Poole. Stacypool kills Poolepool by accident, Gwen comes back as a ghost because death doesn't matter in Marvel, she seeks revenge on Stacypool, both realize everything is really acting out of character and is getting really dark/gritty all of a sudden for no reason and realize the bad guy who cloned Gwen Stacy this time was literally the writer of the story who was mad at being forced to write for Gwenpool and intentionally wrote a lot of stuff OOC on purpose trying to 'fix' her because she doesn't take things seriously enough.It's about as bad as it sounds. Gwen's still had worse runs, it's not without its moments and the premise of Gwen fighting her own author is a cool idea on paper but it requires someone more clever than this to pull it off. As is it's another case of a writer trying to justify everyone acting retarded by providing a twist explanation for it but it does not change that 4 out of 5 issues has everyone acting obnoxiously ooc beforehand. Not to mention it's a lesson Gwen already learned years and years ago by the end of Hasting's run that everyone seems to keep forgetting.
