They definitely handled shit better than the Voltron morons who had to assemble a plot at the last minute (and failed) but honestly there's not a whole lot of stuff in the later seasons I think could have reasonably been cut to make room for "it'd be nice, but it's not strictly necessary" things like Frosta's defrosting.

I don't really understand why in film adaptations they never actually use the original versions of characters.Like, The Riddler here wasn't *completely* abstract, but he also lacked the characteristics that The Riddler typically has. And if you look at all the Batman characters across all of the Batman films how many of them are actually recognisable to the original works?People say it's because they *need* to change the characters in order for it to play well on the new medium, but it's hard to see the truth in that. When a production tries to remain more faithful to the original work you tend to see more of the original appeal of the work, like in Sin City or 300. Hard to see why new characters are invented to replace a role when a nuanced and appealing character was already made by the original writer.
