What makes this show so appealing? What qualities make a show this good
>>152155926Zim is a good example of soul you can say. its not very derivative of anything too much. so it feels very original. there are things that came after Zim which were derivative of Zim that obviously were not as unique.
>>152156562I also love the world building in this show.
>>152159997>Bad eyebrows.>Looks like a whiny bitch>Bad "cut-in" mouth.>Looks like a whiny bitchJesus Christ, this guy hit the nail on the head predicting future shows character designs.
>>152155926There was nothing else like it, and there still isn't or hasn't been even 25 years later. This show was a god send for "weird" kids, i.e. kids that liked horror movies and books.
>>152155926I'm so randumb xd SPORK! the show
I demand that my video game demonstrateur to inundate me with monologues about the mundanity of taxes, household chores, and appropriate types and amount of finger ingestion recommended for longterm colon health.
>>152173294this, this is why i was fine with people not getting the vax. so many of them took themselves out

Would they have been a good team together?
>>152172299A fuck team
>>152172299The fact that Robin almost took the Titans out without any powers can give you a pretty good idea.
>>152173296Slade, pls go
>>152173310Exactly. The Titans literally couldn't have won if Robin and Terra joined Slade at the same time.
>>152172299They need Rose to make the perfect apprentice trio
>scene hypnotizes you into a hypno fetishWhat was with all the hypnosis bits in earlier shows anyways? Is it valid or just a cheap plot device
>>152172988If someone dyes their hair red do they automatically lose willpower?
>>152163466>>152163653Fun fact: if you look closely, you'll see coloring errors make it look like Starfire is bottomless
>>152173585How do you know this?
>>152169128when was 90s cartoon spider man MJ hypnotized? i don't remember that episode
>>152173721Can’t remember 90s MJ but the Ultimate version of MJ got turned into the Carnage Queen and mind controlled
>>152155912
>>152155007pretty art~
>>152171787I like the cut of Tiff, she's very sharp and to the point.
>>152167487Why should I care about whether or not she wanted it. She knows she doesn't want choice. She'd better not take birth control without her boyfriend's permission!
>>152170217Al, in case you're not aware, one doesn't use other's real names in places like this
Do you like crazy paneling in comics?

What is Horse?
>>152172062The threads will always come back its like the norfolk wizard game. It takes time.
>>152169913She managed to briefly crawl away after that hit. She shouldn't have even been able to MOVE after a blow like that yet she could still make way from the rampaging Garou. That's CRAZY levels of durability for a human.
>>152170112>>152170185Bravo.
>>152172890Lobster makes the best stuff.
What horse?
The extreme 90s had soul
>>152171662That, or the one that later Professor Hulk was another persona and the originals were just suppressed?
>>152166095With the more modern books, 2000s Marvel and DC was cape comics trying to be "more mature, for real this time", and a lot of stories that were dark, super-serious, and imposed 'permanent' changes. From the early 2010s onwards the industry went full retard on wokeness, and as polarizing as that is, there are people who'll fight to the death to defend every single moment of it.The 90s Extreme era being the industry in the hands of a bunch of guys mostly in their 20s and just trying to make cool, exciting, sexy fun action comics for an audience of kids and teens annoys the hell out of the people who want their cape comics to be deep and meaningful and attempt to be Art with a capital A, or to deal with "issues".A lot of the problem is that the people bitching about 90s comics at the time were just older readers who should've just grown out of superhero comics and moved on, shrieking about what those damn kids liked, and largely those are the people who stuck around and wrote the narrative of what happened and what you're allowed to like.
>>152167430>90s fags don't have to defend The Crossing. They don't have to defend the Clone Saga.To be honest, both of those events actually do have some good ideas and cool new characters in them, which are just sadly overshadowed by the one big really awful idea in each of them. And even then, there were mitigating circumstances going on behind the scenes for why a lot of the bad stuff happened, none of it was just some star writer out of control, like a lot of the later awful stories were. For example, once you know that Marvel editorial in 1995 were desperately trying anything and everything to get attention on their books and stop the execs from outsourcing their titles to Jim Lee and Rob Liefeld, you know why the bad elements of The Crossing happened, their backs were against the wall and they were desperate. It's a lot easier to be forgiving about something like that than it is about the things Marvel and DC pull in later decades just because a writer wants to leave his permanent legacy on a book. And adaptations generally know to leave unpopular older stories alone and not go near them, but unpopular 2000s and 2010s events are "important" and everyone seems to think the "have" to adapt them.
>>152173300that's not true. writers tried to throw in vocabulary words in a lot of stuff. some of them were bad writers but you could tell they were at least tryingbeast is an example of that too. became a joke for him to use big words in a bubble he had literally no time to say in one panel
>>152173101>>152167056It wasn't even a retcon. PAD set it up from the beginning and was working on it for years. You see the personality break down throughout the storyline and Mephisto literally looks at the reader and talks about what's happening in the wedding issue.
What would get you back to watching South Park?Pic partially related

>>152161013>What would get you back to watching South Park?a return to the humour, art style, storytelling and characterization of the golden era of the show (seasons 6-10)

>>152161277The worst part was how her friends only joined the whole Brotherhood of Evil thing because SHE was the one who wanted to.
>GF has been over for 10 years
>>152172701Rebecca Sugar wanted to make Pearl bisexual and get with Greg, but the massive amount of fans insisting she was a lesbian made her not go through with it.
>>152172954She seems to be leaning into grearl more lately, im hoping its confirmed in lars of the stars
>>152169464It wasn't that annoying, right?
Still find it weird how the show insists 13 year olds are toddler like midgets and 15 year olds are basicly adults.
>>152169084Legit question, OP:Do you keep track of ALL of the shows that hit the 10/20 etc.- year milestones? I'm seeing threads like this a lot lately. Are you the same Anon posting these?
why were old comics so obsessed with gorillas?
>>152164845Please eliminate 3. I am not a crackpot
>>152171851Yeah, but apart from the super campy stuff, the core theme of Godzilla in all his various iterations and aspects is "divine terror". Whereas King Kong is somewhat melancholy and sympathetic by default.
>>152167089cool attempt.
>>152170690>"He is the sacred beast of the apocalypse"off topic but what a haunting quote, mankind managed to tame enough physics to make a poisonous world-ending hell weapon, and it has inspired a literal modern myth with an avatar of that power
>>152166472Cool mate.
