Is there any chance of this actually being good?
>>151863091eh... I think you could do it.Hell, what if the plot is Marge actually does get pregnant one more time? It'd be a kinda funny Rugrats All Grown Up thing where "oops, we didn't account for the characters we'd add in the future, when showing the characters' future"Or Santa's Little Helper becomes a genuinely good racing dog, with the family's help training him. Bookending what the series was always truly about: the dog.Or just the kids have a funny little around the neighborhood kid adventure, while the adults have a little drama thing of their own like when the Van Houtens were getting divorced. Simple plot. Then end it.
>>151869834All we need is Seth to complete this.
>>151867719Not if I have any say in the matter...
>>151866494>>151867859>>151867939>It had like 12 screenwriters>Jesus, no wonder it was such a messWriting for the Simpsons is a collaborative effort full of an entire team working together. Like that monorail episode is famously credited to Conan O'Brien but that didn't mean Conan just wrote the entire thing himself and they just went with it.The truth is they will meet in a writer's room, brainstorm ideas, make jokes,, discuss how the story should go, flesh it out, etc. Then they hand it to one person to put it all together into an actual script. Then even after that they will again meet as a group to revise it more, and continue revising even into table reads with the voice actors. The first movie had over 100 rewrites.I know of the concept of "Too Many Cooks" but in the case of golden era Simpsons I'd say it helped. Sounds like the writers would often be like friends hanging out trying to make each other laugh or playing off of what each other are saying. Making jokes like that is genuinely easier than sitting in a room alone and imagining them out of thin air with no inspiration.
I'm not usually the one to do bad faith posting so here's my outlook>
Did you get anything /co/ related for Christmas?
I got a Trogdor plush.

What do you think of the animated Discworld adaptations?https://youtu.be/JIgE23LHgPQ?si=3ggFEL84LqsqbbZwhttps://youtu.be/UYhbiCygCGQ?si=h_Sz9chMlPYLYNxi
>>151879630Honestly at this point I'd prefer if we didn't get any more Discworld adaptations since it seems impossible to make them without fucking up the whole premise through political correction or "making them for the modern audience". We have the books and the adaptations made so far (except The Watch, fuck that shit to inifinity)

Just saw this with my nephew, what a bunch of unfunny slop, I tried to not be a grifter like Mr Enter but damn, it was just so stupid, and this is coming from someone who fairly enjoyed the past movies besides the Sandy one ofcit was also strangely hard to follow for a children's movie, at least during its first half, my nephew got bored pretty fast and he likes SpongeBob quite a lotbut the Krabs and Squidward subplot was silly and the Sandy joke was good so I'd give it that what's the /co/nsensus?
>>151878274I refuse to watch this movie because of the ice spice fish, but I'm getting mixed messages on if the movie is actual dogshit or not.
>>151878274GenZ wouldnt have watched ANY animation without spongebob.MLP wouldnt take off, Hazbin wouldnt take off, nothing would have.
>>151878274Something that really pisses me off about these Spongebob movies is that they keep telling the same old stories over and over but no one seems to even realize it. Like all the people shitting on it won't even say it.>third spongebob movie was the first movie mixed with where's gary and atlantis squarepantis>this movie is literally just repeating movie 1 with "spongebob wants to be seen as a man" but brainrotted down to "he wants to be a big boy" with ice spice rapping a song about spongebob wanting to be a big boy.
>>151878274>the Sandy joke was goodWhat joke was that? Probably won't ever see this.
>>151879467She dropped her nuts the same time as Spongebob bricked himself again.
Let us have a lost /co/ media thread. I'll start.>Recently launched entertainment finance, development and production outfit Cirrina Studios has announced its first animated feature project: The Extincts. Based on the popular middle-grade novel by British writer Veronica Cossanteli, the project is adapted by president of the studio David Lipman (producer, Shrek 2) and being directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker and celebrated author-illustrator William Joyce.>Aiming for a 2019 release, The Extincts will begin pre-production in June, and will be the first Cirrina feature to kick off at Olivier Pinol’s Dwarf Animation Studio in Montpellier, France. The film will be produced by Lipman and Michael Siegel (exec. producer of The BFG, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Rise of the Guardians). Jane Startz and Barry Cunningham will executive producer with Jim Pesoli and Karine Martine of Cirinna Studios.>“Feature animation is one of the cornerstones of Cirrina Studios’ broad ambitions,” said Lipman. “I’m thrilled to partner with Olivier and Dwarf, we’ve assembled an unbelievably talented group of artists and technicians to make a ‘studio quality’ film with a unique look and global appeal.”>The Extincts follows the madcap adventures of a boy named George Drake, who discovers a hidden cache of extinct and mythological creatures deep in the woods near the farm where he works. Unfortunately, one of these improbably beasts escapes to terrorize the town. Cossanteli’s novel is published in the UK by Chicken House/Scholastic, in the US by Henry Holt, and worldwide in translation.https://web.archive.org/web/20250519170207/https://www.animationmagazine.net/2017/05/cirrina-studios-unearths-first-feature-the-extincts/
