Previous >>151761366Today will cover 2007 and the end of Act II.Previously, Funky had gotten engaged to Holly Budd but an encounter with his old girlfriend caused him to fall off the wagon with his sobriety. He quickly managed to patch things up with Holly the two of them, as well as Wally and Becky, got married at Montoni's in a double ceremony. Funky and Holly had their honeymoon in Paris while Wally and Becky went to Afghanistan so Wally could help mapout landmine fields as a way off dealing with his lingering trauma. There he was reunited with the girl who had helped him out when he'd escaped capture as well her family. He was also reunited with Kahn (or Khan) the bandit who'd captured him but who had now gone straight. Wally accidentally stepped on a mine but with Kahn's help was able to make it through uscathed. Unfortunately, when he returned to Kabul he found out that a car bomb had exploded and while Becky and the youngest member of the family, a girl named Rana, were fine the rest of Rana's family were killed. With Rana now having no family, Wally and Becky decided to adopt her.Bull Bushka and Linda Lopez had started dating during the summer of 2005 and a year later they were married while Darin started dating gorgeous cheerleader Jessica Darling, daughter of John Darling (who was murdered). But while things seemed to be going well, the good times weren't meant to last. Wally was recalled to active duty as he'd been sent home only a few days before his enlistment would be up and was sent to Iraq; unknown to him, Becky was also pregnant and would give birth to Wally Jr. in December. And while taking part in a research trial it was found that Lisa's cancer had returned and metastisized leaving her future looking much more grim.
>>151804290>Wally was married to the high school band director, Becky, who remarried when Wally was declared missing in action. Wally is now married to Rachel a waitress at Montoni’s. Wally is still dealing with that, but with the help of his service dog Buddy, he’s moving on and about to wrap-up his college career. How long was he MIA? What the fuck Becky.
>>151804290>>151804397He was captured some time in 2007 and presumed KIA rather than MIA at some point during the missing years because they found a body that they thought was his
>>151804397He wasn't MIA. The government misidentified the remains of another soldier as his in the incident where a bunch of them were taken hostage so everybody thought he was dead since >>151790089
>>151804397In Ohio, a soldier missing for 5 years can be declared legally dead which annuls his marriage. Until that point, if he returns alive, his spouse's subsequent marriage is invalid. Also in either case she would be required to pay back any life insurance she collected and his policy would be reinstated.I strongly suspect Batiuk did no research on this and assumed whatever he'd seen in daytime soap operas was how the law works. My guess is if it hadn't been 5 years, Wally would be so disgusted by Becky he would use Ohio law on the subject as grounds for divorce but again if he hadn't been gone 5 years and declared dead, the marriage to John would be invalid. Either way I'm surprised he didn't get awarded custody of Rana.
>>151804461And he returned how many years later? No shared custody of Rana?
Is propane really better than charcoal?I've been watching this show for a while now and I can't get this out of my mind. Could someone with grilling experience please enlighten us?

garlic is good
>>151803444Heehee
>>151801808It's just a placebo effect, there's no real difference between propane and charcoal the only true difference is if the patties are premade or not and how long they're cooked

"So how was your date with Riley?" It was less of a date and more like I just took him shopping.
>>151801927Too late
>>151801773It is weird that he gets ignored Huey is perfect
>>151744318>>151765247>>151794160>>151801773>>151803174While definitely handsome, Huey is just way too much of a deadpan straight man (*wink-wink*) to really scratch the ordinary shotacon's itch. In contrast, Riley is the proverbial cheeky brat that needs correction, which is by default a much more sexable archetype. In summary, as they say in Bavaria, "Der Junge ist ja total bedient".https://youtu.be/U03ofzkptDg

I got these at a really good price, what's a good prior reading for full enjoyment? I already read Year One, Long Halloween and so on
>>151803468Don't read it now, you won't appreciate it. It's arguably the least new-reader-friendly Batman run in the history of the character.Grant Morrison's Batman is a direct response to the ever-increasingly grim storytelling in the Batman books from the 80s, 90s, and early-to-mid 00s.It references stories from literally every decade, dating all the way back to the 1930s, reintroducing characters and concepts that had been written out of continuity, with prejudice, two decades prior. It's not holding your hand, it's trusting that you're familiar with the characters or you'll go back to read the stories to understand the context.
>>151804024Sorry, missed the main point. You want a passing familiarity with literally every decade of Batman.First I'd recommend tracking down copies of the "Batman in the <decade>" collections for the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s.Then you can get familiar with the rest of the big name stories from the post-crisis era of comics. Killing Joke, Death in the Family, Lonely Place of Dying, Knightfall, No Man's Land, and Under the Hood, etc. Then you want to read Identity Crisis and Infinite CrisisThen you're at least sort of ready for Morrison's Batman run.
>>151804160>Death in the Family, Knightfall, No Man's Land, and Under the Hood>Identity Crisis and Infinite CrisisBased anon recommending a bunch of garbage.

People wearing sexy outfits they aren't usually associated with wearing. You're good to use screenshot edit with outfits If it makes the person more sexier or for fun you could provide an Image for a fan edit or screenshot or even a comic and specified an outfit to put them in .

>>151804293it really isit's weird because his face shape is rugged and everything, his hair is okay, his nose has a fine shape.. but the nostril corner, the bottom lip detail, the tsurime eyes and how his eyes are so close together.. those ruin it.
>>151803506I mean it's obvious people do you've got like 10 images, honestly you just got to blue ball til s2 when they make it canon then you'll get al the good art and fics. But right now heather is barely a character, so abaddon is more appealing. Though me specifically it's like junk food it's just another blip in the mass of girl love that happens every cartoon now plus hate when girl wants a friend then she somehow is instantly gay for her first fem friend.

What will his legacy be? I know that some people criticise him as not a real comic book guy. Alan Moore said he just knew who to collaborate with. Arguably, Stan Lee didn't invent anything in comic books. The artists made everything.

Cheating otter wife
>>151803227>abandoning their hard working husbands if they fail to stay interesting and measure up sexuallyThat's based desuMen should just do the same
>>151803227I don't know if you said it above, but there's also clearly a sort of anti-romanticism to it. A bitterness about destroying relationships. NTR isn't older romantic tropes of besting other men to win a woman for yourself, there's a strong aspect that emphasizes the relationship being destroyed. And so it's hard to view it apart from that. The bitterness comes through or people wanting to destroy.
>>151803227More than ever before in history, many men care deeply about loving their partner. They believe in equality, in having someone they can truly connect with and genuinely open up to, instead of just hiding their pain. This, unfortunately, has also made them extremely vulnerable to a myriad of emotional pains they might not have felt before - fear of being cheated on, fear of being exploited, fear of not being enough, and so on. The advent of modern women's rights have given women an inordinate amount of power over men's hearts, and the sad truth is that many of them know it. I am not about to sit here and go with the incel party line that all women are whores and are incapable of love, that's just incorrect. But men who engage in a partnership with a woman do so having to trust that their girlfriend or wife will not use their insecurities or weaknesses against them...and that is a big ask when women are both difficult to understand at times AND are culturally immune to the kind of punishment that would be leveled against a man in the same situation (i.e. a man trusts another man, is betrayed, and the betrayer is punched for it).
