>>151969192I said it earlier in the thread, but it genuinely does bother me that Bogo outright tells Judy that not every case is going to save the world, and then the next case they take up is on the same level of importance. The movie felt incredibly rushed at points, and there were barely moments that allowed the viewer to breathe and take in what was happening. It's like they watched the original Zootopia and their main takeaway from it was the Weaselton chase sequence and the train part. There's unironically too much happening, and Judy felt almost out of character at points because of how uncharacteristically selfish she could be, like when she believes Nick is apologizing to her after literally saving her from almost drowning. Judy is the main driving force of the plot, and Nick feels barely involved at times until the end, to the point that they even joke about him not knowing who Gary is. I wouldn't say these detract from my enjoyment while watching it, but there are definitely some flaws in my eyes that just weren't present in the original. You're really barely even given enough time to get to know Gary or even Pawbert. Gary's motivation makes sense, but Pawbert? He's vying for his father's approval, but why? What exactly makes him the black sheep of the family? Why is it so important to him? Obviously I don't expect a villain to get a sob story, but it really does feel like to me that there was a good chunk of the film essentially cut out in order to get the movie under the 2 hour margin.
