It is the final Gwensday thread of the year, and 2025 was a big year for Gwenpool. It was the 10th anniversary of the Deadpool's Secret Secret Wars variant that Gwen first appeared on, and it was the 10th anniversary of her first in comic appearance in her Howard the Duck back-ups. Gwen even got another mini-series this year on top of her occasional appearances in It's Jeff.

Was 2025 a good year for Gwenpool? Will Marvel do anything in 2026 for the 10th anniversary of The Unbelievable Gwenpool?

I know the cans are technically supposed to be soda because it's a kids movie but this scene gave me the impression the dad was the type to go home after work and vegetate in front of the TV with a bunch of beers. I've known dads like that and I think that's what Pixar was going for.

It would also explain why the dad seems to be passed out asleep since he clearly doesn't notice Buzz walking in front of the TV:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kukfkR-VBOs

But saying that makes him "abusive" is just made up headcanon.

This but unironically

>most powerful man on the planet (supposedly anyhow, there's people like Fate around)
>his enemy is a bald ex-ginger in a business suit
Why is Lex Luthor such an underwhelming antagonist? He's got a cool name, sure, but beyond that he's got nothing going. His motives are generic, he's got 0 aesthetical value, he's incredibly cliche, there's literally nothing there. You'd think he'd at least have a thing going, but no, he's just a psychotic bald guy in a business suit. Even wacky mad scientist Luthor is generic. He predates Reed, but comes off as a tasteless Reed rip-off (both are based on the Doc Savage archetype anyhow, same goes for Superman). Compare him to Doom or Sinister or other super-genius villains, and he just lags behind.
>inb4 him being a baseline humie against SuperChad is the point
It's a stupid point. And it's why Superman has a villain problem in general. Luthor and Zod are the most well-known villains and everyone wants to use just them, but both are generic. Hell, most of Superman's villains are generic. But Luthor stands out the most because he's his big nemesis and is essentially a non-entity while committing the biggest sin of pop culture; being uncool.

I just never got the appeal of Luthor.

Mods are out for Christmas. Post bad bitches.

Based.

Scooby Doo is a long franchise created by Hanna-Barbera in the 1960's, and it’s wild to think how many different forms it’s taken over the decades. From the original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! with its classic monster-of-the-week formula, to the more comedic takes like A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, and even the darker, more serialized Mystery Incorporated, the gang has been reimagined countless times.

We’ve had direct-to-video movies like Zombie Island and Witch’s Ghost that pushed the franchise into more supernatural territory, live-action adaptations in the early 2000s, and even crossover specials with Batman, WWE, and more. Each era has its own flavor, whether it’s campy, spooky, or tongue-in-cheek.

So, /co/, what’s your favorite Scooby-Doo Character and which guest character suited the gang best?

I'm not going fall for the meme of people saying that Be Cool Scooby Doo is actually good and art-style was an unfortunate hurdle forced on to the show. The art-style fits the show.

As much as I like Mystery Incorporated, I felt the choosing "a dog over Velma" plotline was unnecessary.

For my favorite character, it is Fred since he moves the plot forward; and for the longest time, he was the character without extremely overt personality. Usually people try to "fix" "bland" characters by making them assholes or making them "quirky". Fred isn't in any way normal but he has his own boundaries. He has a jockiness to him but he also goofy & friendly that I could realistically see nerds half his size bully him.

I would like to see a Scooby Doo show try to do mysteries where it gives the viewers all of the clues to solve the case before hand. It is pretty bad when detective stories for adults like Knives Out are catering to turbo retards.

He was a wretch, but at least he loved Fred as if he were his own son.
>>
>>151958749
I would say that he is the first villain to be foiled by his own conscience but I think Velma dressing up as the mummy counts even if it was to protect the tomb from treasure hunters.
>>
Make way for correct opinions.

Scooby-Doo is at its best when it has a fully realized gang which solve mysteries in a moody atmospheric environment. The guest star series are just low quality across the board.

>>151958390
