Why does every 3d animated movie look like the fucking grubhub commercial now?

A lot of retards like to blame "artists" or whatever but this is 100% on execs wanting a safe generic style they can use for whatever. Same goes for so much "adult" shit looking like a generic Family Guy ripoff.
>>
>>151823494
It has the bean mouths and the overly lit saturated color pallete that isn't out of place in a cheap commercial

Let's not be callous now. GIF was here at the beginning of the internet and it will be here at the end. It sucks for animated images but people hate webp too much for it (unjustifiably) to ever get replaced by it. And most browsers don't even support apng.

The days grow colder, the nights grow longer. That means /co/ Christmas cheer is coming to town. Grab some cocoa, turn on the Christmas music, get comfy, and hang out with some /co/mrades as we share stories and get into the holiday spirit.

Make merry, have a joyful time, share some stories, read some storytimes!

On the surface, it's the life and times, trials and tribulations, thoughts and anecdotes of a homely woman named Monica. The different stories imitate different types of old comics (war, romance, horror, etc.), except with modern sensibilities. There's a shitload of clues about what's going on underneath this, and that's really where the fun is.
The main gimmick with this one is the paper, partly, I imagine, to encourage readers to physically acquire it.
It would have been a lot nicer to look at if Clowes had his Lloyd Llewellyn hands and if Monica was cute.

I don't know why y'all are obsessed over Sydney Sweeney. She's not even that hot and her breast size aren't that big. She's not ugly, I'll give her that, but her face is tad-bit droopy, and that's why drives her looks away. Even the /tv/ boards are divided whether or not she's "that" hot. She's attractive and she is great at lashing out social media retard fags for her looks and preventing her being cancelled online, that I know, but she's not enormously hot. Call me contrarian, but I've seen a good looking female with bigger boobs, and this ain't it chief. Again, she is attractive and her voice is cute, so I'll give her that.

finished the second movie
was thematically better than the first one because more comedy and less songs but the story felt a bit overdone (seeing how we have had a bunch of good clincoln mccloud spy duo episodes before, which were better in my opinion). the villain(s) just disappearing and getting such a throwaway eding is kind of meh.

also I finished season 8 and I'm just not going to watch any more, shit's so disjointed and retarded it's unbelievable
thank you all for reading my blog, I might pop in to shitpost some times. luan best girl, have a good life

Imagine if they stopped caring about "state of the art" for everything and just figured out how to make an already existing machine on a huge scale cost effectively for 1 fucking generation maybe.

It's fucking bullshit that MRI is still some fucking miracle machine that barely works.... No doubt because actually asking technicians to start operating the fucking things instead of standing around chatting all day after that being the de-facto operation since it's invention is apparently unforgivable.

They're the fuckers who didn't even have to wait in line because "muh frontline" bullshit

The major delay in building a hospital is that it's major infrastructure and requires specialist employees. You don't build one where you can't staff it, you have to Cities Skylines it and build a small one first, then upgrade or expand. A billionaire could build a hospital in the middle of nowhere right now, but if there's nobody to staff it, let alone patients, what's the point?

Conversely if you build in a city you're probably replacing an existing hospital so you're taking on those staff. But you're also taking on their patients and you're going to have to account for that. And you have to account for the massive wastage that healthcare generally needs (people sitting around in the emergency room while supplies quietly expire is a big cost, but you can't avoid it because that's the nature of emergency medicine - it's either there all the time even when it's not needed, or it's not there when you need it because nobody can adequately predict when emergencies will occur, only that they will occur, and most medical specialisms have similar problems; no point building a huge cancer ward if there's not cancer patients within your area)
>>
>>151824082
>No doubt because actually asking technicians to start operating the fucking things instead of standing around

Well when you rush medicine you get bad results. And when you don't pay enough for technicians you don't get enough to operate the machines. And there's no point doing any procedure if there's nobody to follow up on it - whether it's a surgical incision there's nobody to close (or no sutures) or whether it's a scan that there's nobody to interpret. So if you know the doc isn't in yet and has five cases to see before they see the next patients' results, there's no hurry. Likewise if someone more urgent needs the scan first, you bump the non-urgent case but (usually) you don't tell them the details of why, just that it's been delayed.

If you want a 30 year old MRI scanner they are available, but the resolution is crap and they probably need major parts replaced (because they're big fuckin electromagnets), and it might not be wide enough if you're a fatass, and it's probably been used for all kinds of shit over the years (so you REALLY DO WANT that expensive maintenance to have been done right for 30 years), and the computer that runs it is probably Windows 3.1, so good luck seeing anything meaningful on the output imagery. The places you can get these scans done outside of a hospital or real medical setting tend to have the older machines, often improperly calibrated as well, so you'll be sitting in a big truck that drives around and then the technician (who has no fucking training in medicine) will say "I don't like the look of that" but it's just a scanning artefact because they don't know how to operate the machine.

Slow and steady etc.

I like how they went for a revival and adjusted it a little to the times, the original reboot praised the internet too much, this one isn't afraid to criticize it but it feels a bit empty and at times it's a little offensive to the fans of the series, also the cgi usually isn't as good as the original.

Hard to believe it's been 20 years since Things Change came out, I never forgave cartoon network for the way they ended this show. As a kid the ending just never felt "complete" to me. Always hoped adult swim or something would pick the show back up and wrap up loose ends like they did with samurai jack but now that it's been 20 years that's unlikely to ever hapoen at this point.

Yup, disappointing ending that slapped fans in the face.

But that's the norm isn't it? When does anything with an interesting premise actually end in a satisfying way? Maybe 1 in 100 times.
>>
>>151825220
They weren't given enough of a notice to write an ending that had a satisfying ending so instead they decided to make it a meta message to tell children that in life shit ends inconclusively and to move on. And yeah, it's a cartoon, it is what it is.

>Okay, but did you actually like it?
Yes
>Did anything actually stand out to you?
Yes. Patrick McHale's section was particularly good. Out of the three, I felt that he had the strongest vision and he did a good job of wrapping up the project without having any knowledge of what the other creators would do. I've struggled with suicidal feelings on and off during my life, so his short indirectly dealing with those feelings and finding purpose in life to keep going hit home for me. The Blasting Company also did a great job with the music as always. Loved their stuff in OTGW.
Pen Ward's was the weaker of the bunch and sticks out for being far more abstract than the others, but I still thought it was cool. Sort of a weird Sally Cruikshank sort of thing.
