It’s mainly due to Marvel not taking advantage of the OGN format with Spidey. All his best stories are in ongoing ASM runs that don’t lend themselves well to a 6 issue trade. Batman, Superman etc all have a plethora of one off stories, else worlds or original stories in trade format. Spider-Man doesn’t get that benefit. To enjoy him at his best, you need to collect omnis.
