Honestly it's such a breath of fresh air to have a solid "action/adventure" show again. It sure as fuck ain't perfect, but holy shit have I missed having shows in the genre that are better than The Dragon Prince. And while the plot is more-or-less already decided, the writers are making enough tweaks to keep things interesting, in a "how will they adapt this?" way. Hell, the presentation has been good enough that I sort-of enjoyed Molly, a character I only ever tolerated in the podcast.

And there was only so much that rolls could tell, and Matt wasn't sure how much info to give at any given time. Here they know how much info to dole out to the main characters at any given moment, and so we get scenes of Beau actually being good at her job. It's much easier to tolerate her attitude when she's legitimately going around doing a damn good job only to have her superiors throw her evidence in the trashbin.(Oh, and the Monk class is just not written well)
