Spider Totem has got the lousiest thing in all of Spider mythos next to One More Day. Seriously nothing about Morlun is cool. None of it. Never has, never will be. It's needlessly convoluted. Spider-Man shouldn't be tied to the supernatural beyond what the situation calls for when he's paired with other more prominent heroes like Strange or villains or Doom.Making some ugly stupid time travelling shmuck who has a hard on for Peter and can hard counter him constantly. Just artificial difficulty: the character with zero interest. Just shows up out of nowhere and Peter has to obsess over him. I mean ultimately it feels like this is just a ploy for that one really fat author to get residuals and honestly? Good for him. I don't like most of his work but the guy has nothing else.
