This is most shown with her and children.For me, besides my own liking of her personality, the angle I like about her as to where it fits into the greater batman mythos is that she's a product of one of Gotham's criminal element that's not quite A-list(and thus bound to the character) but not just a street thug. Just some guy who thought he could be bigger than he was. In a meta sense, the 40's-80's were FULL of villains outside of the "classic" rogues who never made it to classic territory and only had 2-3 appearances and maybe some cameos. So it's amusing to think of one of these villains having a whole life outside of being a washed up villain- and the repercussions it has. In effect Steph's the daddy's girl who rebels-but instead of being a bad girl she becomes a good girl. And she's one of the few batfamily members to come from Gotham, proper, which is kinda funny when you think about that.
