What kinds of people like this show?
Given the usual content of the threads? People that should be on some kinda watchlist.

>>143313782Americans? they don't air it on TV outside North American anymore since Disney made all the Fox sitcoms Disney Plus exclusive on most places outside North America so the only way to watch the show in these countries is via Disney plus or piracy, I know in USA they spam it on Cartoon Network every single day, the movie was only released on Disney plus outside North America too so no Cinemas
>>143314259>>143314266Specifically the lame pearl-clutching millennials who prioritize an animated Comedy being "comfy" over it being funny.
>>143314508oh woe is you traditional comedic timing is a bit off kilter to build chracters
>>143314653Whoops, I misread. I thought OP was asking who STILL watches Bob's Burgers. Those first couple seasons were hilarious, but then it got too comfortable being painfully mundane and relying almost exclusively on obnoxious puns or toilet humor. No wonder it's only ""big"" in the U.S. The people still pretending new episodes are worth watching are the kinds who mainly praise Bob's for portraying a loving family. They idolize a series that's mostly "meh" these days because the bar for adult animated sitcoms is so fucking low.
>>143313788Yeah, the sexy fun people watchlist.
>>143313782Me
>>143314862True Lindachads don't need to touch up her scenes. She's perfect the way she is!
>>143314289It is too tame to be promoted as an "Adult Cartoon", no wonder CN aires it from 5:30am to 7:00am
>>143314878>bottom leftwhat episode did they open a glory hole in
>>143314508>>143314818Let me guess. You only watch Robot Chicken and think Dead Baby Comedy is peak comedy.
>>143314888CRIME HOLE!
>>143314259>>143314266Lot could be said for those early seasons and how they'd reflect the America of that specific era between the 2008 market crash and Obama's second term.
>>143314879Fox no longer allows naked female butts, like they did back in the early Family Guy/Futurama seasons, that hurts Bob's Burgers a lot IMO
>>143314888That's actually not a bad idea for bringing in business.
>>143314878Zero need to exaggerate because Linda legit has pretty good figure...for a mom. Like if you saw this body type on a friend's mom you'd know that mon as the hot mom.
>>143314895Pay attention, I LOVE the earlier seasons when the Belchers would face off against eccentric villains-of-the-week, Bob wasn't a pushover, and Gene was a quirky musical prodigy who spoke before thinking instead of what he is today: the most immature kid in his grade with increasingly shitty one-liners. Bob's Burgers blew up BECAUSE it stood out from the MacFarlane Power Hour. It didn't need to be super vulgar or graphic to be mature, but it still had enough edge to feel welcome in a TV block that was once worth a damn. It's basically a kids' cartoon now. Loren Bouchard has gone soft, and the praise he gets for the occasional tearjerker episode like last season's Christmas episode or the Amelia Earhart one only encourage him to prioritize emotions over jokes. There used to be a healthier balance of the two.
>>143314953Bob's Burgers' writers are like the girls who say they're into anal right up to the point they tell you actually she's not that into anal.THEN WHY ALL THE BUTT STUFF TALK BITCH?
>>143315019I think out of all five Belchers, Tina's aged the best. She's more confident and capable overall, even if she still falls into the same teen trappings of chasing after "the cool kids." Her episodes aren't always amazing, but I feel like the writers have gotten more mileage out of her quirks than the rest of the family lately.
>>143314659It always makes me excited to see how well Louise can shake her ass. That's the kind of ass shaking that you just know is showing off some nice recoil.
>>143314997>She DOES have big boobies!
>>143315066Yeah it's almost too good of a character arc because she's basically lapping every other kid character.
>>143315146And a perky pelvic floor!
>>143314862
>>143315149I'm still not over that fucking vampire movie episode. Having the writers directly tell us that Tina's OUTGROWN her 8th grade peers is the clearest sign that the status quo is stifling this show. Just end it already if you can't figure out ways to develop the supporting cast any further.
>>143315146A big butt too.
>>143315286Imagine the fupa
>>143315288When Bob mentions how Tina will one day find the people who get her knowing that's a flatout lie is certainly something.
>>143315288>>143315358>Sorry Tina but even if you do make a friend that likes you for you, you still won't see them almost ever. This don't feel so wholesome burgerbros?
>the epiosde where they record their snoring at night>but its so loud they cant tell who is actually snoring
>>143315358>Bob saying this >the same guy who insists the restaurant can hit it big without adjusting to Burgers of the Week, expanding to next door, or being open to compromise with an outside investor Tina's gonna be stuck in social purgatory the same way the family is stuck in poverty. Bob's delusion will rub off on his poor daughter.
>>143313782Gays. The show is gay camp to the utmost. Look at this shit:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynOqGGVe_dE
>>143315408>Linda in her loose nightgown Hhhhhhhhh
>>143313782people with offbeat senses of humor
>>143314818bob's burgers had 12 good seasons. skip the rest. Just like Simpsons.
>>143315017same old song and dancebeing different makes you popularbeing popular makes you too important to take risks by being different.>Earhartthat episode did most of the work getting me to quit the show. i want to find the writers and erase them. Fucking female oppression narrative has gone from being silly to irritating to a fucking warcrime in the 2020s.
>>143315413getting to the point where I'm now analyzing these so called "sweet" moments as just the children hidden proverty trauma coming up to the surface.>Louise is depressed because Bob has convinced her the world is stacked against them.>Gene's need to be the center of attention is learned from trying to distract his dad from his financial woe.>Tina constantly self sacrifices.
>>143315456season 11 was ass, they bounced back afterwards but not by much
>>143315390Now that you mention it, it is weird that Susmita hasn't become a more prominent character seeing as her VA is already available for that shitty Alaska spinoff. Let. Tina. Have. REAL Friends!
EACH AND EVERY DAY I WANT TO SING I WANT TO PLAYYYY
>>143315529Listen I love Jocelyn and to a lesser extent can appreciate Tammy but compared to Susmita or Dillon or even Chelsea...well they're just kinda anachronistic idea of how teen girls qct like now.
Do you think tina writes about andy and ollie?
>>143315580Anachronistic how? All young teen girls are cringey weirdos. This has always been true and will always be true.
Tammy and Jocelyn episode please.
>>143315602Anachronistic in that it's not really the 80s anymore and the whole valley girl is out of place.
>>143315607We don't even have a last name for Jocelyn.
>>143315408where are their ears
>>143314997WHAT EPISODE
>>143315661Horse rider-er and Linda basically spends half the episode in those shorts.
So what happened to Jimmy Pesto? He still benched?
>ywn have teddy plap you in his lap
>>143315715They revast but they also wrapped up the feud betweem him and Bob with Bob declaring himself the winner.
>>143315717>ywn have gene plap in your lap Ftfy.
>>143315815if gene doesnt say the word plap in the next 3 episodes im dropping the series
>>143315119Gene can throw it back to.
>>143315830The one positive I can give the show is that they gave a unique form of a M/F/F trio that you never really see.
>>143313782People that somehow manage to both be really, really creepy yet somehow also really really boring.
>>143315827>plapping your flag is when Gene put his ass on the glass.
>>143313782the one eyed snakes were one of the best side characters in the seriesi think keeping them around even as just a visual gag would help the show a lot
>>143315860So in a weird twist of fate Gene has "it", we just don't know what "it" is.
>>143316092same with logan who was coincidentally also in the same epiosde witht the one eyed snakes
>>143313782Zoomers who grew up with boomer parents that still had television.
>>143316104>Gene has itDoes he ever.
>>143314259>>143314266This is accurate but plenty of zoomers like this show, specifically the ones who prefer cozy shows that are wholesome.
>>143313782ultra-normies
>>143317566They're beginning to notice it's not so comfy or wholesome anymore.
I just noticed this but Logan Bush is a Bart Simpson analog.>blonde skateboarder>causes trouble>mom wears pearls
>>143317809>have your bratty kid character beat up another character that could, in some fashion I guess, be seen as a reference to a bratty kid character from another animated sitcom. But what could it all mean tho?
>>143315288>Just end it already if you can't figure out ways to develop the supporting cast any further. It says a lot when most of the characters in pic related haven't had a significant role in YEARS. That's why the one Gretchen episode this season was so appreciated
>>143317566Zoomers don't give a fuck about Bob's Burgers. It's too tame compared to Smiling Friends and any new indie cartoons. You ever ask yourself why Central Park bombed so hard?
>>143314659>>143315119>>143315830>>143316205My posterior has a temerature.
>>143318344>Central Park People remember that show?
>>143318442I remember the minor controversy of casting a white woman to voice a mixed girl
>>143318314I think about the fact that Jessica's 1st and 2nd apperances are 6 seasons apart all the goddamn time.It really shouldn't be this hard to come up with stories featuring a cast of regulars.
>>143318314That pro-tiki/con-tiki epiosde showed something interesting about Bob's Burgers in that Loren Bouchard sees minimalism as essential to the show as bob does to his restuarant. Stuff like themes or atmosphere are cheap gimmicks that distract from the "burger" and does a disservice to the "chef".
>>143318742>you want the restaurant to actually succeed? Cheap gimmick.>you want Linda to confront her family for their toxicity? Cheap gimmick.>you want Gene to actually get good at playing music? Cheap ginmick.>you want Tina to have an actual social life? Fake cheap gimmick. >you want the show to hire and keep on legit women voice actors instead of H.Jon Benjamin to do a jokey girl voice? Sorry Kristen Schaal but that's a cheap gimmick, have fun carrying all the emotional kid moments in the show by yourself.
>>143313782Bobs burger is the typical 21st century father. Completely hated and downtrodden by his disrespectful, self absorbed family and it’s treated as funny.
I like it, but it took until seasons 7-8 or so to appreciate the show. My gf and some friends adored it and for me it was a 6/10, an okay show to have on background, but as the seasons started to change and get the kids to mature, better humour, less Linda and Linda sister, don't remember the name, hate both of them, so toxic.Still have to watch last season. Also, the movie plot was cool.
>>143318848Molly is a cute and I desperately wish she would show up in Bob's Burgers to be Tina's friend.Got no clue about the boy.
>>143318900Hell The Belchers literally live next to a Beach and you can count the beach episodes on one hand with room left over. Why do you hate the beach so much Loren?

>>143318314They've been using Fischoeder more lately so that's nice at least
>>143319031Just imagine all that sweat in her vagina...
>>143319032The problem I find with the kid’s characterizations is that half the time they all talk like Gen Xers with heavy 80s films references and way too crude double entendres and other times they are more realistically written as kids (dad, what’s spin the bottle? Can we play?) it’s really off putting. It’s one of the many things that puts me off this show.>>143319255The Fischoders are my fave characters. I like most episodes centered on them.
>>143319288Even sexier, imagine her being a regular character and with decent voice acting HNNNNGGGGG.

>>143325561I'm not saying Tina Fey didn't do a good job but like why? Or more importantly, why not keep her on as a semi-regular. She could show up as much as Ms.Merkin as in sporadically. Also Ms.Bisselbender is a cute.
>>143325797her performance was fine, but her written character completely embodies why the Bob's Burgers writers piss me off. i can just tell they're the kind that go to therapy but don't solve any of their problems. i would tell them to stop being a faggot and it would probably end in suicide

>>143316025>PLAP!
I miss the days when characters could still emote. Loren Bouchard has gone senile
I fucking hate the kids, all 3 of them are unfunny cancer. Louise can be ok but Gene and Tina are fucking awful characters. But I love Bob, Linda, and Teddy. Any episodes that are centered around them I'll watch.
>>143328856For me there's tolerable periods for all three of the kids, usually in the early seasons but actually later for Tina.>season 3 Louise>Season 2 Gene>Season 7 Tina
>>143328856>>143328878I've always been a fan of Tina, but I'm even more pleased by how she's been developed since the early seasons. Don't ask me about the Tammy two-parter though Gene used to be great, but sometime after the truffle burger and two-butted goat episodes, the writers just stopped respecting him as a character and continue to infantilize the kid. It's awful. Louise I'm more or less okay with throughout the entire series. She still gets up to mischief, so the writers giving her more of a conscience over time doesn't bother me.
>>143313782I just watch the show to see Tina sink further into sexual depravity, and bob is funny every 5 years or so. The other characters are mostly annoying
>>143322895If only the whole show was like this then it'd be watchable.
My face -> Linda's buns
>>143330673She is so freaking sexy bros.
>>143313782I am 38 years old, married, have no kids, male. I like Bob's Burgers.
>>143331981Read in Louise's voice then I realize that's not even the voice Louise uses anymore?
>>143333372I love the idea of Millie and Louise being friends but only in fan stuff where people aren't cowards.
>>143333664There's so much about Millie that is just unfinished work; the why and the who and how Millie became enamoured with Louise in the first place and the steps needed to de-escalate a one-sided stalker relationship to a two-way but that could be messy and Bob's Burgers doesn't want to deal with messes.
>>143333819But Millie is just a smaller symptom of a greater trend in Bob's Burgers where they just don't believe in girl friendships. You could see it in how Slumber Party epsiode where the episode with the largest female cast was entirely about pushing them out the door. Even Jessica, the "winner " so to speak, was ignored after this episode till season ten.
>>143333921This goes beyond Louise to Tina, whose friendship with Tammy quickly soured into a bitter rivalry, and to Linda entirely off-screen one-sided interactions with Ginger. So despite the large women audience and female cast in the writer's room, Bob's Burgers lags beyond any serious girl representation which detracts when your shifting your show's focus around to the girl characters
>>143314508Is she making fun of the family dentist?I didn't know bob's burgers got some of their edge back.
>>143313782I love how wonky they look in the early promo art, with the eyes of different sizes and all
I like it
>It's another "Bob would sooner become homeless than compromise a single iota of his artistic vision" episodeIf said vision was anything more substantial, it might hold some ground. Fucker really is waiting for god himself to come down and magic a billion dollars into his pocket for the love of a good burger. Fucker does not deserve success, not with his autistic aversion to change and insistence on the worst possible version of a restaurant. It takes real work to FAIL as a burger joint just off from the beach and within less then a kilometer of an amusement park type place
>>143335655I remember how in season 1 Bob looked visually uncomfortable when Fischoeder implied that he cooks burger for the art and kept interjecting how he very much wants his busuness to be profitable. That Bob was a legit working class man and the glamorization of bring a starving artist or how the belchers are better people because they're the poor underdogs is some out of touch privileged rich person bullshit.
>>143313782non-edgelords
>>143318344>Smiling FriendsActual Millennial writing
>>143336229I miss when Bob's burgers was edgy.
>>143335655>it takes real work to FAIL as a burger joint just off from the beach and within less then a kilometer of an amusment park type place.Wonder Wharf actually has a burger stand too. Y'know a cool idea would've been Bob setting shop IN Wonder Wharf, making the belchers carnies and setting up a steady supply of wacky hijinks around the park.
>>143333819>>143333921>>143334064Maybe the family has a problem with deep relationships?
>>143336251>>143322895Why the fuck did they take away everything EXCEPT the grossout? That's what pisses me off. We can't have edgy humor but fart jokes can stay?? Who the hell made that decision
>>143322895i miss this kind of writing. it really reminds me of Home Movies
>>143336789>When my kids were in preschool a dad pulled me aside and nicely told me about his 4 year old on their porch chanting “i’m good at sex you’re bad at sex i’m good at sex you’re bad at sex” to the neighborsAll this shit about Bob not compromising his artistic vision is cope from the creator of the show for compromising his artistic vision.
>>143336754The family does seem to be against anything requiring effort from extracurricular to fun parties but that's says more about the writers then illustrating the tight-knit bonds the belchers are supposed to have.
>>143333819>>143333921>>143334064They're squandering a lot of good female talent too, people like Maya Erskine or Stephanie Beatriz could've stuck on longer and do more if given the chance.
>>143318472>I remember the minor controversy of casting a white woman to voice a mixed girlIt's funny cause the character was half white and half black. The original VA had every right to voice her, even the shows creator defended his hiring decision. And then he bent the knee to woke fags and troons. Sad. I always wondered if these new VA's for POC characters are aware that they are literal diversity hires.
>>143338178>It's funny cause the character was half white and half blackMeaning not white but also I'm glad Kristen Bell got recast because I don't think she was a good fit for Molly.
>>143333372nice little brendon at the top
>>143338654They did a Melissa callback in season 10 and you can actually see brandon in the background too.
>>143339088Man why didn't Louise want to be friends with Millie from the get go?

>>143340550Do they change the name of the restuarant?
>>143340850>Louise gets big tits.>but every other girls turns into tiddy monsters.
>>143341083In my idea for the future Louise either rents out the store next door (or an abandoned Jimmy Pesto's) so she can call it Louise's burgers. Which sorta lets her keep her father's legacy while still making it "hers".>>143340850Louise is probably a bit busty cuz of Linda's Genes (everyone on her side of the family seems busty) but probably smaller than Tina. Still I imagine Millie being a bit bigger just cuz she's more chubby overall.
>>143341306>that mustacheGene nooOooO
>>143340850>>143341306Millie is actually the most disappointed by it because it means she can't wear the bras she stole from Louise.
>>143336605I've always found that to be a semi-intentional source of irony from the show. Bob is pretty good at attracting 'regular'-type customers to his restaurant and his business model seems to be built around using quality and consistency to get people to come back. But he's in a touristy area and so there aren't really any 'regulars' to attract in the first place. It's why a shitty but tacky restaurant like Jimmy Pesto's is able to find so much more success, because he plays into the expectation of the area.If Bob's Burgers were located in a small, semi-rural town, he'd be much more successful of a businessman - but he's too focused on his burgers to see that.
>>143341996>Bob is pretty good at attracting 'regular'-type customers to his restaurant Fucking is he tho anon? Is he really? You're also assuming the wonder wharf makes the city a tourist trap which actually makes zero sense. Do you make special trips to small town just to visit their small town amusment parks? Bob's Burger is set in modern day America my dude, not the 1930s meaning Disney world and other places that actually give someone a visit exist.
>>143341996>>143342175Also while the inside of the restuarant is drab and generic, the facade is some of the best advertising you could ask for.Who the fuck are we kidding here folks, this is the tacky touristy restuarant. You're not going across the street to the shitty beige italian restaurant you can find in any american shopping plaza, you're goong to Bob's to talk to Linda motherfuckers.
>>143341297We all know she'll have the fattest ass insteadNo stool will be able to contain her
>>143342436Nah Louise's butt is a tight, round bubble.
>>143314289Sounds like Disney just wants to kill it's FOX brand overseas, no idea why they would even want to do that tho
>>143334064>they're bringing back 5th grade MeganMan first Logan couple weeks ago and now this? Bob's Burgers if I didn't know any better I'd assume you're throwing everything on the wall trying to find what sticks.

>>143344239Now I’m imagining a fic concept where they’re dating in their teens or twenties (or not dating, doesn’t really matter) and Millie gives Louise head for the first time and it absolutely shakes her. Millie does it a few more times and is clearly outmatching Louise, much to her chagrin. The whole story, Louise basically is desperate to figure out how she can top her head game and finally get the “win”.

>>143347319Bob simply doesn't care about the customers' experience, which is fine as the fry cook but not when you're the owner. It's something that's never gonna get worked or even really addressed because it's not decided if that's where the humor comes from(it's not) or if it's a facet of Bob's personality that he needs to confront(it is).
>>143336754The show definitely does.
>>143348604Fitting as the peanuts themselves started out as kids getting into trouble then evolved into idealized kids being harmless and cute.
>>143348728In the beginning Ol' Chuck gave as good as he got.
>>143347382Man has exactly one of the several things it takes to achieve commercial success. He has the least important one- the product itself. Because you can shill garbage. You can market and present well enough to move slop. But it is a rare product that can generate it's own buzz. Bob banks one hundred percent on people trying his burgers. Word of mouth does not pay the bills, and as we see repeatedly. He is never more then a bad week away from total financial collapse. The writers have said in the past that what we see is the "before" and that success is coming. But is it? Could bob hold onto his idealized victory scenario? He can't work with or around anybody BUT his family, and even that is pushing it. Unless he's some The Menu level psychopath savant, serving six people for 120k a plate every week, he's gonna shit the bed
>>143349538Wha IS his definition of success?
>>143349968His dad saying you were right and I was wrong?
>>143349538>>143349968According to the show Bob has the accolades of several head chefs of fancy restaurants, including a celebrity chef who helped got him a feature in a widely circualted food and travel magazine, with some inviting Bob in the hopes of IMPRESSING HIM but the show doesn't acknowledged that as the success even though that's exactly how Bob would define success.
>>143313782Buns burgers
>>143315288>>143318314>>143350850I wonder how much longer Bob's Burger's goodwill is gonna last? Most people seem to accept the tradeoff of humor for sentimentality as a mark of higher quality writing but that's a much higher bar of enjoyment then just being an adult animated sitcom.
>>143314289>>143314879CN recently started to air episodes from season 9 and 10. They really aren't as suggestive as the earlier seasons and seem to focus less on the side characters.
>>143315516
>>143355449>pink bikini pantiesYES YES YES!
>>143355794Fucking you can't hide Linda's sexiness from all this toliet humor. She's a sexy cartoon mom and deserves to be jacked off to.
>>143355821>oh surely not if a man is voicing her right anon?Who gives a shit about that you idiot I WANT TO FUCK LINDA
>>143355858HHNNNNGGGG FUCK
>>143355878ASS
>>143355449>>143355911This mommy ass needs to be spanked.
>Character stares at the screen and says stupid shit to antagonize any of the Belchers because the plot demands it Yeah this got tiring very fast
>>143319255How in the HELL did Great North get five fucking seasons? Forget OP's question, who is watching THE GREAT NORTH?
>>143346513nah, the joke was that the salon linda and bob went to was that good.>>143346300bachelor party!!
>>143344423embarrassing and slightly arousing for her
>>143357261Simpsons Senpaitachi who like Bob's Burgers but won't shut off the tv and does something else for 30 minutes. So people who grew up with block programming.
>>143357314Goddamn Teddy has no fucking rythm.
>>143350458>mere minutes before
>>143357339Just the way she likes it.
>>143357154Skinny legs Rudy.
>>143356275The way Linda acts sometime makes me want to bend her over my knee and slap that 44 year old women's butt till her inner brat is tamed.
>>143349968Exactly what he has now, just with several times the success. He wants to pay the bills and live comfortably without having to "compromise" in any way. So,No price increaseNo marketingNothing that could draw attention away from his precious burgersHe is living in a dream world, where having a good product is the only thing a person needs to make it.>>143350850Sure. But being liked by other chefs does not translate to business or financial security. Those other chefs are also not autisticly inflexible. They can work with others and accept compromise. Bob is not some idealized purist. He's an idealist
>>143313782I used to have hopes for it, it felt like it could be a show that could last. Season 1 was promising and had some very funny moments, my favorite episode being the one with Linda's bed and breakfast disaster. Season 2 was nice, then Season 3 was even better, and then Season 4 was like the show's peak. Season 5 had a few hiccups, and then Season 6 was almost a fucking nosedive and the show's been lousy ever since. Bob's not as angry as he used to be, Louise's corners have been thoroughly rounded off and she's lost her energy. Gene and Tina have remained static.

>>143358398gene has had an extra thick filter in the past few seasons to be more PCotherwise he still tries to make the most screwed up joke possibleits just under 15 layers of 'is this okay nowadays?'
>>143358271>But being liked by other chefs does not translate to business or financial security.Directly but in the real world these type of things gets you in an episode of diners, driver-thrus, and dives. Bob should be a local establishment at the very least, so much has happened that should make an impact on the community.
>>143357791Lol imagine thinking you could ever tame Linda
>>143358398What is it about Season 6 that made you feel the show had lost its luster? I've noticed the same things you have about Bob becoming soft-spoken and the humor becoming more family-friendly, but I could never pinpoint exactly when that started taking over.
>>143358772I just want the thrill of trying.
>>143344898>>143347217

>>143359910So Millie, that's a nice swimsuit we are wearing.
>>143358861At some point it just straight up became a baby show TV Y7 almost. I was surprised rewatching an episode from season one that it had Teddy making a three way/ cuckold joke.
