>>143357381>WB goes bankruptA lot of people still haven't realized this - and it's surprising since all people seems to care about nowadays is corporations drama - Warner stopped being a thing years ago, back when the AT&T's acquisition happened. WB just a package of IPs now (the most profitable of which aren't even actually owned by them but on a loan from Legendary), that are currently owned by Discovery. If Zaslav doesn't make profit he'll probably sell the whole thing to the chinks or something.tl;dr: Saying "What would happen to DC if WB goes bankrupt" in the current years is like saying "what would happen to the X-Men if Fox goes bankrupt?". Those things are someone's else problem now.
>>143357601>Billy finally free of the greedy faggots who sued his original publishers to dust out of envyI wish.
>>143357601WildCATS and Stormwatch. You know those will be going for cents on the dollar.
>>143360353Billy will become public domain in little over a decade.
>>143360506DC will find a loophole to keep all their characters
>>143360382>The only thing you need to wonder is how many failures is Discovery going to tolerate from Warner?Warner makes hits too like Dune 2 and Barbie. Zaslav himself is also a Discovery guy and has run the ship for years at this point so the blame is basically already on Discovery’s management and decrees since they decided who runs WB now.
>>143357381>once WB goes bankrupt
>>143360339WB as it existed before Warner Media (the AT&T merger) is still more valuable than Discovery.Discovery itself has now acquired debt that it would be stuck with if all these stupid click bait farming rumors and social media 'insiders' had been actually right and Warner Communications/Time Warner "was sold last year," "would be sold this year," "would be sold next year."BTW, Fox didn't go bankrupt, an aging Australian who's been more on his deathbed than off it for the past decade got slammed with over a $1B+ in debt from stupidity related to Fox News and needed quick cash, which he got from Disney, which itself now has billions in debts.
>>143359612holy shit
>>143360384Stormwatch is way too tied to The Authority, who are gonna get to be pretty high-profile soon. Wetworks, now those are the dudes you could get for nickels probably
>>143360573>Discovery itself has now acquired debtJust as AT&T did, which is why they sold Warner in the first place. If Zaslav won't be making money (their PRs say they are making money, but so far their last successes were co-productions with either Legendary or Hasbro, which is like saying Disney is taking all the money from their Spider-Man movies without sharing anything with Sony)If he won't be able to make it profitable he'll simply sell it again, together with the debt.
>>143360512Just like Disney did, right? Btw Billy is not a DC character.

>>143357381Amazon buys them
>>143362631>>143362623Both are shit
>>143361354>but so far their last successes were co-productions with either Legendary or HasbroThis is typical /co thinking, that for example, Disney was a huge success because of Far From Home (which you at least correctly point out has to share - and it's actually the BULK of the movie theatrical gross and in fact ALL of the DVDs, licensing, etc. going to Sony there) and the SW and actual MCU movies when they were not just losing money on ESPN and the amusement parks but also not paying down the specific debt they were AND are still carrying from ABC Capital City. AT&T's debt for the joint venture with Warner Communications that formed Warner Media is the huge bulk of the debt DISCO now has and had to acquire for that deal. AT&T wouldn't have made it without it, that's why the acquisition terms were so cheap for DISCO. That plus AT&T's stupidity. It's also why Zaslav was thinking he might acquire Paramount so easily last year, except others are even more stupid and not as stupid as AT&T was, since Redstone's daughter isn't dancing to his song.WB Time Warner was and is making about $7-10B from theatrical on good years - but makes another $17-$25B on other parts of the company like advertising, TV and other production (including licensing, like selling Snyderverse crap to Netflix for a few months for several hundred million, and Sandman and other crap for more). Don't forget that WB was making $1B from licensing the DCW capeshit to Netflix in that deal before the AT&T merger and everyone creating their walled gardens of streaming, which DISCO was the first to break-up, but now everyone is back to licensing, save for Disney (but they are licensing Fox library crap to pay down the billions for that loan), plus making money other ways.
>>143362998God, that's a lot of cope.Every company makes money in other ways, don't act like Discorvery (because that's the company now) is the only one to do it.The fact that you are so eager to say Disney is doing bad (as if i'm telling otherwise) and "WB" is TOTALLY doing good guys really makes me wonder.>This is typical /co thinkingI know right? Even a broken clock can be right twice, i wonder who Legendary will pick for their new movies now that the deal is over.
>>143360518>Dune 2Legendary made DUNC.
Someone get rid of the comics because they’re useless garbage anyways.
