Even in the 2000's when Batman begins and Casino Royale came out, all the press releases didn't call them "reboots". From an old Hollywood guy like Lorenzo, he sees reboots as basically a new set of producers coming in and starting new, like the Marvel or DC reboots. An admission that the old ones failed or ended and had to start fresh. As a point of pride he'll refuse to call them a reboot because he wants to associate himself with the same franchise for 15+ years.
