Is Linda Lee Denvers a different person from Kara Zor El? I never read a supergirl comic beyond the ones featured in the LOSH compilation and I thought Linda was merely her alter ego ala Clark Kent.I read somwhere that the original Supergirl was a human that got superpowers but was later changed to an actual kryptonian

>>144240222Linda is Kara's pre-crisis human identity. It was dropped post crisis because it took a while for her to be introduced and another Linda Danvers was created in-between. Originally Kara wore a brown wig when masquerading as Linda but by the late 70's she got a magic comb that would turn her hair from brunette to blonde in charging scenes.
>>144240251Was probably one of those prototype "Supergirls" that existed before her. There was one that was a tulpa Jimmy imagined into existence that's the best known.
Post crisis Linda Danvers was a human who was bonded to the Mattix supergirl( and became an angel
>>144240251>>144240301A year before Kara was invented in 1959 Jimmy Olsen created a Super-girl in Superman #123
Pre-Crisis, Linda Lee Danvers was Kara Zor-El’s secret identity. Post-Crisis, Linda Danvers of Leesburg was a different character from Kara Zor-El but both were Supergirl at different times.
>>144240382Yeah, the tulpa.
>>144240395Thanks, this clarifies everything
