Fair, it's not like they're from the 21st century.

Sorry, Duckman.

Japan didn't dub these shows.
>>
>>144303997
They're too good for Japan anyway, they can stick to PPG and SP.

More like Duckman is too cynical and grotesque while The Critic was a failure that lasted 24 episodes. Not worth dubbing either.
>>
>>144304038
I won't lie, KC's grotesque style works better for adult animation.

ALL HAIL DUKE
>>
Didnt duckman have a cuban dub too
>>
>>144303854
Both can go for all I care.
>>
Critic is kinda dated. Duckman is more timeless. And has big titties.
>>
>>144303854
Duckman has Jason Alexander, which gives it an edge in my book.
The Critic is full of extremely dated references which while I like as a millennial, is completely lost on the young and the old.
>>
>>144303854
Gotta be The Critic, I like the show but Duckman blows it outta the water. Maybe if The Critic had kept its Season 1 style and ran longer like that it'd be much closer, but that ain't the way it happened.
>>
>>144303997
who cares you autist
>>
>>144304981
It had a Mexican dub, a Miami dub, and a Spain dub.
>>

What is this list?
>>
>>144303854
Almost nobody here has actually rewatched either of these since they aired, outside of a handful of oft-circulated memes and clips.

Spoilers - neither show actually holds up.

What? Are you saying 14 year olds don't get jokes about Basic Instinct and Scent of a Woman? Next thing you'll be telling me is they don't know who Orson Welles is.
>>
Is it weird that I remember watching Duckman all the time on Comedy Central when I was in college (2000-2004) but I can't remember a single storyline or what happens in the show at all? I know he was a PI, the pig was his partner and he had a dumb son named Ajax. There was a film noir episode that stood out to me.
Is my memory just really bad? Or it's forgettable? Anyways I'd choose it over The Critic because I remember laughing a lot and like the art style more.

Duck Man is really really good. All the episodes are on YouTube for free. Just watch the first episode and you will see how magical it is. It's dark, it's funny, it makes you think. The art style is unique and beautiful in an abstract sort of way. The emotional beats hit and hit hard. It does everything you want from an adult cartoon. It predates South Park yet the commentary still holds up. It predicted the future a few times. It was ahead of its time. All 4 seasons are good. But the last one dips in quality a little bit. Rewatch episode one and you will know if the show is for you. All the episodes are on YouTube for free.

I prefer Duckman, but losing The Critic means losing A Star Is Burns. And that's just too high of a price to pay. So duck off, Fuckman!

>>144303854
the critic made me laugh
duckman made me cringe
(I did like the cute teddy bears though)

>All 4 seasons are good
For some reason Love Anger Kvetching (S4E13) was burned into my brain since the 90s. I love that episode and it's sort of a time capsule since they got both Bob Guccione and Joe Walsh to voice themselves (and that fucking hilarious parody of "Life's Been Good" at Mo's funeral is great no matter when you hear it).

The Critic not only should've gotten more seasons but after it ended, Jay should be a character that showed up more often in the Simpsons. And that was back when the Simpsons was good.

I've watched this loop so many times now that I no longer see Moleman's cane as falling over. It now looks like it wobbles around for a second before shrinking smaller and standing back upright.

>the critic released in 1994
>duckman released in 1994 too
>neither had significant culture impact in the past thirty years
>clips I just watched don't compare in the slightest to classics like we bare bears or sanjay and craig
Both can go

For me, it's the PC culture episode.

I prefer the critic but I also liked Duckman a lot. Both shows to me had one great speech that people sadly ignored. Duckman about comedy suppose to make you think and the critic about not watching bad movies. With that logic even though I preferred the critic, I think Duckman would be the better of the two shows to stay since I can say the simpsons has also made that point of just don’t look, but as far as I know and can recall no one but Duckman made the point about comedy.
>>
Duckman of the two.
Critic stays just for having one of the most useful scene's/jokes ever made

I don't remember a single thing about The Critic. I remember watching it as a kid, I remember how popular it was at the time but not a single episode stood out to me. I guess its what happens when you haven't seen a show in over 30 years. Same with The Tick. Duckman I remember bits and pieces, the men vs women episode stood out to me the most.

The simpsons is the reason why the critic is gone. The crossover episode made Matt butthurt he probably pulled string until the show got canceled.
