I think just about all of the IDW OC designs have been surprisingly good, the storytelling just doesn't seem to have much ambition since the Metal Virus arc (which itself was originally destined to be in Archie before it got shitcanned). They're at least taking the time to set up Clutch raping the resistance or reconstruction or whatever it's called now but as of the latest issue with Eggman coming in to shut him down and Surge about to go rogue again he's already predictably set up to fail so the stakes for this arc are gone. The only real thing left that interests me about the arc is seeing how nu Diamond Cutters react to getting owned by Mimic again (and by extension wherever they're going with Lanolin)
