I love them
>>144326274Why are these comics so hard to find in person? Even on eBay I barley find anything.
>>144326783>Why are these comics so hard to find in person?Low print runs These comics came out fresh after the crash and catered to a niche audience outside of the aging capeshitter demographicNot sure if they were ever sold outside of LCS' Just count yourself they got scanned unlike the remaining SpongeBob comics or UK Rugrats comics that are outright lost media but don't get attention or are prioritized whatsoever even among lost media enthusiasts
I love evil doubles. I know it's an overdone trope but I still giggle and clap my feet just as hard as when I was 8.
>>144326872>have the first sixteen issues of the DC PPG comic (think I stopped collecting new comics around that time because I had my collection taken away due to bad grades)>see that the last issue of the series is a reprint of issue one because it either sold out fast or had a low print runIt was nice to have a comic that was so close to the show that respected the property and the people who read it. Shame that nothing like that exists anymore. Pretty much all of the late 90's/early 00's DC Cartoon Network comics were like that
>>144327034>It was nice to have a comic that was so close to the show that respected the property and the people who read it.A lot of the people involved with said shows worked on the comicsWarburton wrote almost every KND story, even the one page gags
>>144326783>>144326872If Dynamite's upcoming PPG comic does well they could possibly launch a kickstarter reprinting the older PPG comics like they have done with Gargoyles
>>144326872I remenber when i was a kid random storylines would picked from these comics and be published apart on mountly miscellaneous magazines, and there would be no brand consistency, one day it could be a ben 10 story, a upcoming Disney movie, a Cartoon Network cartoon that got canned years ago, they even had a Chicken Little comic that i remember looking particularly ugly
>>144326274The Rowdyruff Boys > The Powerpunk Girls
>>144327034>Pretty much all of the late 90's/early 00's DC Cartoon Network comics were like thatI highly recommend the SpongeBob comics since plenty of the storyboarders and writers of the show were on themAlso, while it's not based on an existing cartoon I recommend Patty Cake by Scott Roberts since the guy worked on the Nickelodeon Magazine comics, DC Cartoon Network comics, SpongeBob comics, etc and the series itself fits right at home with cartoons of the time The whole thing got storytimed this year and you could find the threads on Desuarchive
Which PPG would you impregnate?
