Solar Opposites was supposed to be a playground show that breaks conventions and plays with different genres, but the writers were not creative enough to actually pull that off. Smiling Friends does the same thing, but the creativity is just visible in every frame. Solar would never have the balls to blend different art styles and genres like SF does.
