I just found out about picrel. What's co think bout it

Fuck this comic. They should have waited for Parlov who was still on the mend after a medical episode. Ennis is a disloyal cunt.

I’m an ennis fan but this isn’t one of his best at all so far. Feels like he’s run out of things to do. I mean this is basically a much much shittier version of the punisher issues in my war gone by. I don’t know why he thought this was worth writing or why nobody pointed that fact out to him. Let alone the fact that it kinda contradicts that series because how could this have happened and not already be mentioned by fury?

Idk man it’s just kinda retarded top to bottom

I've only read the first two issues so far, with the third sitting on my desk, but so far it's a bit of a disappointment. Way too slow and plodding compared to Ennis's other works with the Punisher. If it hadn't released in the middle of one of the biggest droughts in the character's history, it would've just come and gone the way Soviet did. Though, I have re-read Soviet recently and quite enjoyed it. It's just that nothing I've read from Ennis lately has managed to top The Platoon.

>The Platoon
In fairness, The Platoon was fucking fantastic from start to finish, and that last page especially gets me right in the gut no matter how many times I read it.
>>
>>144538506
it's alright
>>
>>144538832
This. Did nobody notice it’s literally all the same story beats?
>>
>>144538687
Who gives a shit?

>I don’t know why he thought this was worth writing
Marvel probably begged him to write something with Max on the cover hoping people would fall for nostalgia
>>
i havent read any previous max material but im enjoying this so far. jacen burrows was cool on ribbon queen
>>
>>144538506
Might check it out.
>>
>>144541839
Yeah but anyone who has nostalgia for it would have read my war gone by and noticed this is remarkably similar to those two or three issues with Frank in them.
>>
>>144538687
he wrote it in 2019 anon. parlov isn't the only frank artist
>>
>>144538506
Let me guess, the real main character is the NVA guy who just rolls his eyes looking back at the war saying "Oh you silly Americans..."
>>
>>144544224
Parlov had been connected to get fury for years anon. Nobody ever said he was the only artist that worked on punisher. See yourself out with your disingenuous faggotry.

From the very beginning it was supposed to be parlov. He had a stroke and ennis decided to leave him in the dust. It was conceived as a sort of follow up to Platoon and their Fury MAX (my war gone by).

What happened to Parlov?

>>144545749
I literally said what happened.

Stroke in 2019. It does seem he’s able to draw again though.

All your seethe and character assassination attempts will never undo the fact that Ennis' collected works have irreparably gaped your asshole.
>>
its good
>>
>>144545761
>>144546377
So what's the problem with Ennis going ahead?
Should he have just canceled the project?
>>
>>144544615
Has Parlov commented on it at all? There's no reason to assume Ennis decided personally to fuck him over when it's even more believable that Marvel or Parlov himself made the decision to move on with a different artist.
>>
>>144548234
He seems to be still drawing, but maybe can't take on larger projects. He drew a cover for Get Fury.
>>
>>144548234
Ask him on social media he’ll tell you he would have liked to do it, he’s not going to throw a collaborator under the bus (even if that collaborated did that to him).
>>
>>144546534
I don’t like the boys but I’ve liked a bunch of his comics, particularly with Parlov on the art. Continue being a whiny faggot and referring to factual information as “character assassination” though you histrionic cock sucker.
>>
>>144546377
>Parlov is well know for his work on Y: The Last Man
I didn't even remember him working on that.
