It's an honor to be seen as the modern equivalent to Scrappy Doo where at best they'll be treated with revilement and hatred.

He actually started out popular enough to save the series and has been re-evaluated more positively in recent years, with a lot of people arguing that the problems people had with him were due to having to take Fred, Daphne and Velma's roles after they were written out, along with him coming along at a time when the franchise was losing its way by introducing real monsters. You even have some people saying they want him to be reinvented and make his return to the franchise. I have legitimately never heard anybody admit they like Sparky or try to defend him.
