That's the brand, that's the mission statement, that's the focus, that's the FCC regulations they have to follow. They can't shift to being for adults so easily, so all they can do is double down on the only demographic of kids who might actually still be watching (toddlers and preschoolers).

Bluey's internal planning documents that have leaked mention the adult bluey fans and embrace that part of the audience. It works for them because calling the show an all audiences show is a good thing and they can always just pass it off as marketing to parents. CN basically killed a bunch of shows in 2020 people actually liked to screw over their own network all in the name of maintaining a brand image instead of embracing what worked and changing themselves to reflect that. But I get it, too risky, right? Better to go piss off people, fuck over careers, etc. then steer the train into unknown territory.
