I think it's mildly amusing that if you had a mutant from the current lineup of X-Men books time travel back to the heyday of the team in the 80s or early 90s and told them everything that happened from Morrison to today they would immediately think this was a fucked-up dark future that had to be averted. DOFP has nothing on what actual comics ended up doing.
