The way people use the word filler now astounds me.
It's a term that comes from anime when they were ahead of the manga they were adapting and they needed to literally fill time with episodes that weren't adapted from the manga, but now people will apply it to literally any episode of a show that doesn't contribute to some overarching narrative.
