I developed a new hatching technique to add depth even when I use silhouettes. I think it looks pretty good. I can use for crowds and trees and helps with readability. i need a better way of rendering urban scenes and interiors and I think I'm golden.

>>144640162Try thinking as negative space in a way. like you are a transition between at some point the dominant color being black to white so you use the opposite to blend all together. You can use the principle in a lot of ways if you are creative. Is more about giving more contrast between each plane in the drawing, instead of using colors you are using different patterns.
